last lady said it best. we shouldn't be celebrating actors and athletes as heroes, it's these kinds of people.
Yess!!! I've always thought the same, specially people with disabilities how do we not celebrate for and with them more in society? They are amazing people toođđ
Why not celebrate everyone...actors and athletes can be heroes too. Some of them do great things for others.
I think we should learn to embrace everyone and not segregate people in groups and say one is better than the other. Just my humble opinion
This doesnât mean not recognizing actors and athletes... it should mean recognize everybody for what theyâve done. Yes, we tend to recognize actors and athletes because we see them everyday in movies, shows, and games. I think rather than forgetting about the people who have given up other things to entertain us, we should recognize everybody for what great people they might be.
Itâs okay to celebrate people who worked hard for shit but celebrating someone because of how much money they have is a recipe for destroying the future generations
I actually donât agree with her on that, people always make it an either/ or situation, you can celebrate both regular people and people who have achieved a lot, acting and being an athlete takes YEARS of work and even then thereâs a slim chance youâll actually even start to make it in the industry. Most people in both fields donât even make it as far as for it to be a liveable job, her statement comes across more as âcelebrate people until they become recognisedâ
âThese are the type of people we should be celebratingâ - I couldnât agree more !

As a ups employee Iâm submitting his name as a super upser (UPSs internal nomination system for employees who go above and beyond)
Our Blessed UPS driver was Bruce. Sumter County, Florida He is retired now. Wonderful Man!
Awesome!
My dad has been working for UPS for 32 years and just saved an older womans life who fell in her yard and was stuck there for 3 days. He didn't know her. Just happened to have a stop down the road and noticed she was in the yard. He's had several moments like that throughout his career. I worked Pre-Load for 2 years, before moving on to other things, but UPS really is a good company to work for. Had no idea that had a recognition program like that.
Ian Lee I recommend hitting up one of his coworkers to nominate him. Thereâs a lot of info I would need to nominate him
Has my vote
Give Greg A Huge Promotion UPS. He really truly deserve it now.
He's probably already getting top pay. UPSers know what I mean
No, they will write him up for stopping his truck and doing personal business on company time and take away 1 hour of his pay :)
Why the heck would you wish a promotion on him? That would probably take him OUT of that neighbourhood, maybe even park him behind a desk. Wish him a raise and recognition, maybe a paid vacation, but not a promotion! đ€
This guy has a full pension for retirement, and is probably making over $80,000 a year at this point... Greg will be alright. Oh and the Teamsters suck!
The whole point was to celebrate many workers like him. Everyone should get a promotion for doing their job? Idiot
I have health problems and have trouble walking. When I came out of a variety store a woman was cleaning off excess snow from my car. She said she saw I was having difficulties. Then she followed me to the last store I needed to get things from and went in and purchased them for me. I paid her back of course. She refused to take the extra money that I offered her. She was late in taking her daughter to school that day. Thank you Melissa.
