I heard this on the radio this morning and couldn't stop giggling. It's dire in a wonderful way. A blast from the past
My mum says I used to sing this when I was 2. 55 years later, turns out I still know all the words
My mum loved this. She used to sing it to me when I was a kid.
This beautiful song by this duo keeps popping into my head! I have no reason why, other than it must be her amazing voice!
😅🤣😂
Same here god knows why
@@andrewtomlinson18 From the great days of the novelty single. A tragedy that if this was put out now post 7th October we know what the response would be.
Great song in my mums collection in the early 70s one to be played over and over
First time I've heard this for fifty years 😲
Loved the song when I was a kid - still do!
Esther was gorgeous.
You know straight away this Woman has talent
How wonderful. What a beautiful couple, with such an iconic song
RIP Abi. Thank you xxx
Heard this for many years. First time I've seen them.
It's the first time I've ever looked it up, but this was number one the day I was born. I'm happy its this song. It makes me smile
Ça c'est un véritable (et très beau) duo. Et la chanson est super. Bravo.
Oh..heard this in London when I was boy in 1968...after all those decades finally found the name. Made my day!
I know what you mean, I used to hear it on an old radio when I was only about 4, always loved listening to that old radio, couldn't get me away from it and I heard all those songs like this one that would become classics in the years that followed, I used to sing to them, or at least tried to Lol, in hindsight, it was probably one of those pirate stations that I was listening to.
The good old days.
Can't believe years later in2010 this would become a child's play
Abi died today RIP.
piet pienter : didn’t realise till now. Sad to hear. Part of my childhood. Used to be on Top of the Pops - British telly.
This is my childhood...❤
I loved this as a kid. Still do!
Utterly wonderful. From an utterly wonderful time......
my mother used to sing this to me as a child
This was a great fun song but we don't get fun songs in this dour world anymore.
Liked it back then and nearly 50 years later I STILL like this little gem.
And Esther had good legs!
kevvome yes, inspite of cankles!
Not only good legs, but the most beautiful eyes of a singer ever! 50 years ago I was in love with her because of her eyes!
Theses eyes!! Who could ever resist??
great!!!! I remember my mom going crazy for this song when I was a very little girl
Esther had amazing eyes! Cute song. :)
amazing legs. we all switched from pan's people n that cherry
woe9we c
Reminds me of my early childhood
I remember listening to this on one of my mums 60s records as kid in the 80s. Loved it.
Heard this on the young ones. Had to listen to it
I only knew this tune from The Young Ones (BBC comedy) and an advert in the early 80s about oven chips…but what a voice that lass has
I was 2 when this came out but somehow always liked it even that far back ?
omg this takes me back to my early teens one of the best songs around reminds so much of the time walking down Carnaby Street and hearing this playing out loud from the shops at the time
It was played on the radio this morning as an ear worm. It worked.
was eine tolle, verrückte zeit! einfach toll!!!
My sister and I called this Squeaky Bear and Yodelling Mouse when we were 6 and 7!
I don’t know whom I love better, Nana or Esther, but Nana’s voice I liked first, i was nine years old. One month ago i listen to a station in Australia for young people and some one played her, was unbelievable
Le charme d'Esther Ofarim !!!
Ahhhh such sweet memories of this when it fist came out....lovely....!!!!!
RIP Abi Ofarim 5 October 1937 - 4 May 2018
Sad news
Kaddish. May G-d Rest his soul
😍👏👏👏😍
Strange that this song came to mind today, I hadn't heard it for 50 years! A bit like Sonny & Cher?
R.I.P Abi Ofarim - Die Lieder gesungen von Esther & Abi Ofarim bleiben unvergessen!!! Das war so ein grossartiges Duo.
R.I.P Abi Ofarim - The songs sung by Esther & Abi Ofarim remain unforgotten! It was such a great duo.
Great fun song
My first encounter with this song was the film "Walk on water" it took me years to find.
Tolles Gesangspaar mit großartigen Stimmen!
t's cool in a way. Hearing this with modern ears, results in finding it ... yes, maybe cheesy, but they can sing, and the song is different to the modern german stuff, which is without any style and emotion. But hearing this on radio sitting in a car, it's still nice after all this years and gives good vibrations.
Ahh happy memories. ❤️
Hilarious, when music was fun, light hearted, when people weren't afraid to look nice/be human they had class, yet very daggy song as well. I like.
Brings me memories of my dad playing this a lot
a great song composed by Mason Williams the guitarists who had a hit with CLASSICAL GAS in the same year this charttopper from 1968. Your the lady wooooo!!!!
Great duo
ils sont très bons Esther à une belle voix de contre alto
Definitely the best version of this song!
Muppet show special.
What a pair of legs!!! (Yeah, I know...sexist.) But she was something else.
I stumbled across this song when I was about 8. Somehow I love and hate it at the same time...
I feel the same, which is why I'm here.
Hermosa canción Gran recuerdo.
Such a good looking and talented couple!
Always reminds me of a saucy lady fae Finport
It's fabulous to see an accompanying video/ promotional film ( phew very carefull description of artists performance!!!) for the very first time regardless of how old the song may be....got the feeling in CZcams land I'm not the only one!!!
Great Performance. Its From a TV Show
Charming!
I love the lyrics to this x
RIP Abi Ofarim
Wonderful very 20s
This a very quirky old song. I remember this being played when I was growing up...
It's a romp..
ABi Ofarim R.I.P. - he died May 4, 2018 in Munich
It’s my life completely
Amazing
Just read that Abi Ofarim has died aged 80. Don't the years fly by!
R.I.P. ABI OFARIM Mein Beileid und ganz viel Kraft der Familie und GIL OFARIM !!
She does a version with a young Tom Jones ... and Cher. A really good clip as well.

Still Game, anyone?
Nice.
From songs like this you learn about millionaire America philathropists
great, einer meiner lieblings lied.
Me too. Socute then and still cute now. :-)
NICEST SONGS TENURES FROM GERALD
A kosher version of Sonny & Cher!
Lmao!
the better one :-)
❤🇵🇰🇵🇰
Esther, Eyes like Cleopatra very 60 Style!
Yes … enough already, my gefilte fish is getting cold!
the vocal acrobatics, the theatrical falsetto, suit Esther's gimmicks, charm and voice. The pair did a good job with this diddly number. I have to research now who sang the original.
I like her singing the Bee gees song 'Morning of my life' , especially the version from 1971 in Bolton , England .
Anelissa Stanibol Esther and Abi themselves did the original version of Cinderella Rockefella.
how many peeps remember / love/ hate this ?
So weird how they had that big 23-Skidoo 1920s revival period in music in the mid/late 1960s. There were tons of songs from England and America with kazoos and ukeleles and everybody singing like Rudy Vallee. I could have done without half those songs about “My little dandelion daffodil”.
Little Lady.... okay that really made me laugh. Anyone who'd call me little lady to my face would nurse a black eye for a while.
Still game
written by Mason Williams and Nancy Ames in 1967
lol. This reminds me of Tam!
What a fkn banger that is defo a heavy tunnne rockafellain oot yer nut
THIS HAS THE CHARM OF A FISH FART
Gefilte fish?
This won’t be played on the “‘ fantastic new Greatest Hits Radio” ‘ either - like thousands of other massive hits of slightly unusual stile which everybody enjoyed. Who the hell listens to these appalling “ Gold “ jukebox stations ? The Deaf ? 🙄❤️
💋🎹😘🎸❤️🔝🎤🎹
anybody else here from still game
Yeah! Came here after I noticed the swapped this song for another when still game came to Netflix
Check the Godzilla version also. Pretty good.
