    Hi, I want to implement complex row-level security for my data, where I have organizations and sub-organizations and their path in one table and users belonging to the organization or sub-organization in another table and there are multiple users to each organization. The challenge here is when a user logs in with his credential he should see only the data related to his organization and when a person belongs to a top-level hierarchy he should see all the sub-organization's data. Can you please help me in implementing this?

    • @BIConsultingPro
      @BIConsultingPro  Před 3 lety +2

      Within Power BI Desktop, username() will return a user in the format of DOMAIN\User and userprincipalname() will return a user in the format of user@contoso.com. Within the Power BI service, username() and userprincipalname() will both return the user's User Principal Name (UPN). This looks similar to an email address.
