No matter what video You post mate, all are Pro, fantastic job, solid skill... great person + nice music... pleasure to watch 👍
Hi Stu, you simplify the processes and allows me to pick up what your showing easily, thank you 👍
THAT IS SPECTACULAR. I so love your channel. GREAT STUFF.
Hi Stu
I am watching your amazing videos with my friends here in Thailand where I now live. It has been fantastic to explain to my friends what a cavity wall is; how we use a spirit level; why, when you breathe out a cloud comes out too and its great to show off my country to its finest.
Thanks to honest, English craftsmen like yourself! Makes me proud to be British.
Good luck to you!
David, Bangkok and West Ham United!!
Cheers David I was in bkk last year 👍
This is a life saver I’m building two brick barbecues in the summer cheers mate keep up the good work mate 🙂
Love your channel because it's all about passing on knowledge. Simple project well executed. Love it.
This video is great for someone like me with no experience. I don’t want to build a fancy dan bbq, just one that’ll stand up properly! Cheers Stu for actually showing us laymen good practice and technique that we can actually follow!
Many thanks mate👍🏻👍🏻
Wont that metal that holds charcoal rust and rot away couple of years.
The Mrs just cough me watching and said don't even think about it.
Haha
Great Video Stu. You are a very good teacher and inspire confidence in people who maybe don’t have the ability or confidence to attempt tasks. Once again many thanks and good luck.
Cheers David all the best mate
Love the indented finish on the outside mortar!
Good choice stu BBQ if you thinking of having a go at bricklaying I would recommend this and you get to use it too good job stu good starter challenge 👍
yere good choice stu
First vid I've seen of yours, and all I can say is you live up to your title, best bricky. Cheers, I'm going to give this a go 🖒
Just watched this old vid by Stu. He doesn’t post much anymore but a heck of an artist with a trowel. Just like watching him lay brick
When I do mine I’ll put 3 overhangs on each side. But, wow 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Amazing video.
Hi Stu, thank you for sharing the processes to build BBQ area. This will assist me in my project, just like to say a big thank you!
Excellent video mate can't wait for the next one on finishing the brickwork like jointing etc
Nice one stu, classic but gold! Excellent tutorial and well explained,Thanks for sharing awesome :)
You have gave me an idea to build a bbq in the summer thank you stu keep up the good work I really enjoy your videos :)
You are a perfectionist 👍🏻
Subbed, This will be my first project. I hope to one day know enough to build my own extension!
You made it look so easy, awesome work mate!
Love this Stu
Cheers bro
Damn... that thing looks perfectly symmetrical, perfect... if I had a yard, I would try to build this for sure
Keep doing what you do best Stu 👌
Love you Stu! Thanks a lot for all these videos! :) :)
You are very creative Stu great work pal.
That looks so amazing! Would love to have that outside!
I wasn’t even thinking about it until you made the joke😂
looks amazing ... but am not sure what you going to do if the little grill holder broke after a year of usage with heat and weather element ? I think you need something much stronger than small wires to hold the grill .
They're wall ties mate, won't break
I wish I had trowel skills like you my friend. Looks good. Great job.
My favourite part was where you showed in detail how to perfectly cut a brick for quarter and half bricks. Facepalm
Did he? Time stamp?
I think that's the point, he didn't show how to.
The only video I’ll be watching when it comes to busing my bbq 😎 🍖
Fantastic job, one of the best bricklayer s I've ever seen, besides my mentor lol
Would you recommend putting anything on top of the final course? Like a limestone cap or granite even? Looks stellar can’t wait to build mine soon thanks for all the knowledge you share!
I think I might genuinely attempt this Stu. Well done. Looks stunning as usual mate! 👍🏾
Alamin.
Go for it mate you can do it
Perfect..just what i am looking for....learned a lot sir.
I would put the metal things in every section and have a gril with a safe hook. That way; you could control the temperature. You did an amazing job my friend! I subscribed.
I'm lucky to have gotten old heat-treated chimney brick-my grill would be outside so has to be insulated against heat transfer. Thanks for tutorial!
Very impressive. Well done!
The best brick layer I have seen top video
Well done Stu good luck 👍🏴
Top draw Stu as always chicken and burgers time
Hey stu, I've not seen many if any vids on gritstone walls/sandstone walls (not to be confused with dry stone walls).
My front wall needs attention and i think it could make a great video too.
I'm not sure how far your catchment area extends to but I'm near durum.
If interested let me know buddy 👍.
Great video as always, keep your chin up dude.
Love the background music
Yes. I giggled at the wall ties. What of it?! :)
As always great work well done Stu
thanks john hope you have a go
great job Stu
Was looking for a video like this last year when we built our bbq. Funnily enough its the exact same albeit abit missed aligned 😂
Very nice! I love it! I can do this!
Whenever you factor in the weight of the grills, and the fact that the metal will be getting hot. I really don't think those little wall hangs will stand up overtime. Maybe a few cooks, but they're going to get weak fairly quick especially if you're cooking anything heavy or doing high temp grilling.
You are right I am a brick mason and have built hundreds of these not only will the Heat Ben the small little ties he put in overtime they will Rust Out and also he is using regular brick overtime the heat will deteriorate the brick and mortar
@@GarySmith-ss1ee what bricks and mortar are you supposed to use instead? My dad was an incredible bricklayer as I have been told by many people around my town who he worked with and for. The brick bbq he built is now becoming unstable as where the brackets are that hold the bbq, the mortar there has cracked and is coming away
@@jamiesmith9719 overtime the heat will deteriorate the brick-and-mortar to build a BBQ Pit you should build the Firebox with firebrick and refractory mortar both were made to withstand the Heat then use regular brick-and-mortar on the outside and also instead of using metal for the rack to sit on you can step the fire brick out around the inside of the firebox so there will be no metal to warp or burn out that's the way I recommend to build it
Very helpful sty beautiful job like always 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😊😊
You are a master with that trowel
Very clean simple and good work thanks 🇴🇲
I adore this video - its so usefull and helpfull.
Very good
Here at home, I am also doing small jobs. And I will try to do this
Wish I had a journeyman like you, in 4th year of my apprenticeship almost finished but it has been absolutely brutal
Brilliant! Love it! 😉
I've waited nearly a year for this video!!! Time to go buy some bricks in the morning.. nice one stu!
Might have to wait a bit mate, there's a storm coming soon lol
@@leonblittle226 lol, thanks. Shopping trip postponed!
Worst timing ever!! 🤣
@@Stucrompton1 might build it indoors like yours!!!! 😆
Great work bro, god bless you
Nice one Stu, good job
Looks DOPE AF
This guys a good bricky
As always a great video - thanks. Have you any recommendations with respect to the type of brick used. We suffer greatly in my area with frost damage to bricks.
Really like this video you should do awesome video. Please do more videos like this. Question for you with the top part of the grill can you put some lime stone on top of it just to really finish it off so there’s no holes on top so no water gets inside?
Ideal for the beginner stu. But yet again great video
buen trabajo amigo, gracias
Make it look so easy.
Beautiful i like you work . 👍👍 berber from north morocco

Stu - remember a few weeks I said I made a pig’s ear out of building a BBQ? Well, it was that very one! Must have been over 30 years ago - I had no idea they were still available.
Might try again this summer.
Try again pal
Who on earth is disliking this video ffs........ Great job stu 👍
Cheers Andy mate, I call them fuel 😁👍👍
There will be haters, there will be doubters, there will be non-believers, and then there will be STU, proving them wrong
👍👍👍👍 muy buen trabajo
First off, great work. Couple questions, maybe dumb ones: Did you build that to stay there in the shop? Assuming impossible to relocate? Also, can you do this with a propane or maybe propane + charcoal combo grill? Maybe build one in with a small fridge next to it? Again, terrific work.
Hi Stu, what do you use to get mortar marks of the brickface - diluted brick acid?
Bravo!
Perfect
Come on Stu, fire it up. Give us a steak cooking class. Give your DAD a segment, I bet he has some amazing cooking skills from back in the day.
Very beautiful work, your heart does a lot, there is no visa on articles
Lo voy hacer 😁
It look great outdoors
Making me hungry 😀
Hey, nice job. Could you please share a mortar reсipe. It looks perfect.
Очень ловко у вас получается и эстетично.)
Good video Stu.....any chance you can do a video on how to make a Garden pizza oven.
Now let's see you cook? Loll nice one stu
cant do that one :)
Terrific Video! Thank you so much. One thing please, who are the artists performing your wonderful music? Can someone please tell me?
Love this but I have a question. How much weight will those ties hold. They don’t look very strong. Thanks!
That’s great. Where did you get bbq brick shelves from?
سلام ...کار سختی انجام دادی آفرین به شما 😀
I do like that pointing style, slightly inset.
A round one would be cool
otimo video amigo!
His left glove is red, but his right is blue.
Nice brick laying though, quicker than me!
Fking awesome. Love from Australia brother
I’m 11 videos deep now. Subscribed 😅

Ya es un preparado ?
Gracias y buen video.
Un saludo desde España
How good is that 💙
I want to add this to my outdoor kitchen. I am wondering what is the outside temperature of the grill because I have a whole outdoor kitchen outside so I need to be careful with the temperature. Thank you
Não falo nem sei ler em inglês,mas valeu a pena ter assistodo esse vídeo bem explicado e bem prático.
