Lovely job Stu , aren't some window /door fitters naughty , did my lads solders over his front door , no lintel , plastic bag inside n film off door , nice view of a Galloway's while KC was driving , proper tradesmen who care about their jobs !!!🤗🤗🤗🤗
Another great video stu, keep up the good work pal
Nice job fellas, tidy end result 👍👍👍
Nice work! Beautiful front patio too. Greetings from Tucson Arizona, USA.
Hi,
Stu and KC love the channel and your work and family ethics. I'm a builder in Rhode Island and can appreciate KC's work pants as I started out as a painter. Had many pairs of jeans that could stand up on their own from all the caulking, glazing and paint on them. The good news was they not only worked as cheap advertising but also were water proof. Never layed many brick but a lot of 16" concrete block am learning a ton from you both.Cheers as my family came to America from England with surname of Tunnicliff wondered if you have ever heard of this name.Hope to visit someday and maybe attend your bricky school while there. Keep up the great videos love your taste in music also.
Good job Stu pukka lad. 🔥👌 I am the same as you I admire all old brickwork and stonework. The old school bricklayers was on a diff level. Take it easy dude 👌👊
Work of art, ur a legend,
Love to come on a work experience day out with u

B.T.W, another top job
Отличная работа!!👍
I keep a little plasterers mixer on the van, stick it in me 18v then mix up a little bit makes it easier

Smashing video Stu.
I am sure you know mate...Hot ally can crack if hit with cold water...
Got to love the telling off for watering the engine 😂 don’t forget to oil it now so it doesn’t rust lol
clean bricks, well done. i like the lintel with a kicker on one side. id suggest a waterproof membrane on top of the lintel.
Bang tidy job and at least you didn’t forget your brew this time 😜
Nice job trickey enough
would you ever be doing any videos working with old handmade brick and lime mortar? My house is from the 1850's and I've been working on it myself for over 2 years now. Be nice to see how other people work with the stuff (PHL5 for me).
Дааа любиш ты свою работу безусловно!!!
Красиво парни работу выполняют👍👍👍
I mix by hand daily I think it’s alright to be honest with you lovely mix
The way you worked out the joint sizes is the exact way I work it out when drawing building plans Stu 👍🏼👍🏼
Channels really growing now mate...well deserved. 👌🏼😉
Stu Compton what would u recommend using to cut brick in order to point?
Circus was in town last year!
Crazy how house prices have change in so little time
You not on site anymore stu? This is the weather for it. Great video though as always. 👍👍👍💯
Hi stu
Just wondering why you didn't use a dpc and weep holes ? Door maybe
Thanks
Great videos
Is the reason you don't need a cavity tray/weep holes on this lintel b/c there's one above on the roof flashing?
If some top Hollywood actor had the jeans on kc has they would be all the fashion.
Hi Stu . No weeep tubes needed then ? Don.
Im doing a diy outdoor kitchen framing out of cement blocks. I'm stuck on how to add bricks above the door area between the grill and the double doors under it. Any pointers?
Listen to thee fathr Stuart
Noted Daniel 😁
Hahaha
excellent, is the contraption at the top of the Acro called a needle?
strongboy prop, acro prop
May I please ask why wasn't a dpc tray installed over the lintel? Just curious that's all as I have seen it used on other videos.
The lintel didn’t bridge the cavity and there was none in before, there wasn’t even a lintel in before, also these brick are Accrington and no water penetrates into cavity
You are super. Thank you very much for your video. I didn't fully understand your idea re that old newspaper. Could you comment?
How will the gap between the underside of the lintel and the door be filled?
Quality work that stu. Just goes to show its not all about just throwing them down.👍👍. Bit of wat-er never did any harm😀😀.
How many man hours start to finish on this job?
Is this a cavity wall?
How come there was no cavity tray or weep holes?
House prices stayed the same in Wigan all these years later.
I like it. So i guess stuffing under the stainless steel and the case is someone else's job?
Stu it'd be nice to see a feature on brick detailing like dog tooth bricks (aka shark bricks) and dentil brickwork. I don't believe you've done a feature on this yet? I'm sure its a walk in the park for you :-)
Going to try and cover everything I can Paul mate 👍
Hi Stu, would you ever consider telling us what these different jobs are worth. It would be handy for us to know what a customer would be looking at paying for renovations....
pricing is not something i would publicly mention as its very subjective to everyone and different standards of workmanship
Roughly what would be the cost to carry out this job?
Been watching a number of your videos Stu and I have to ask - how do you mix your mortar/what proportions? Yours looks as pliable as play-doh! Do you have a lot of lime in there or just a lot more cement compared to sand? You don't even level and square until the second course! I am a DIY beginner and the mortar here in the States says 1 part mortar mix (premixed lime & cement) to 2.5-3 parts masonry sand... Well then it is all about how thin or thick you want it. Too thin makes a mess and too thick doubles or triples the time to set a brick level and pumb!
Galloways Gidlow Lane haha
K.C..Turning up with a retro lyle +scott jumper, its just not on stu...
thats my mums birthday 26 jan 84 thats crazy
Just seen on face book that a page has uploaded your video on you doing a step but they did edit it so they didn’t just yoink it and it has 16.5 million views
I remember when I left the UK back in 2000. The average house price in Kent was about 70,000 pounds. Now you won't get anything for less than 400,000 pounds. How on earth do people afford to live there now? Don't even get me started on the price of petrol there.
2:05 "Is it easy hand-mixing ? "
K-C "Not really"
4:40 "You don't do it on the engine Stuart"
Stuart "You do, clean it off"
😂😂😂
Mix ya muck after you go off to do your cuts next time lol
Stu Crompton какай песня я не могу найти в начале
guard rail should be waist height
Hi Stu, why did you use black dyed mortar when the existing mortar isn’t black?
Existing is the old black mortar
Fair enough geez
Увек позитиван Г Кромптон.

Sorry mate, couldn’t resist a bit of banter with the old enemy. Pity you’re the wrong side of the Pennines, but I won’t hold that against you!
