We are Linnea and Akela. In May, 2020 I purchased our 2016 Ram ProMaster, Togo, to become our full-time home. With this van build, I am using my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a campervan BY THEMSELVES and ON A BUDGET, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work.
Our goal is to inspire individuals to chase their dreams... to break from societal limitations and live the life they truly desire. And, to GET OUTSIDE!

9:53 - That edge feeling. You're trying to sleep, and even with a dog it's a vulnerable feeling of "edginess." The greatest feeling when you're out, is finding a place where you can sleep and dream. Real comfort.
My shepherd would talk the same way. They are like another person. She understood so much English that I never taught her. Great dog R I p

Watching a sleepy/comfy Akela NEVER gets old
I keep a can of carburator cleaner with some tools in the center console at all times for legal self defense. Pepper spray and/or mace is illegal in some states but you can take carburator cleaner with you everywhere and it wont seem odd if its mixed with tools.lol...it will work extremely well but might have permanent affects on the attacker but ill defend myself and ask qustions later.
Most of your channel revolves around your van. Getting it, getting it ready, etc... It has been a long time coming, but we now get to see you start exploring. Being us, your viewers, here near the start, is quite a fun vicarious experience.
You have a healthy heart. And you have a healthy gut.

Best Friends!!!! Awesome! I've been a fan of Best Friends for over 40 years, donate to them and have a friend who works there in the cat area (Cassie Rowell) who has been there for a long long time! They have RV spots there at the sanctuary but maybe they were all full! Anyway, it was nice to watch and and have you volunteer at one of my all time favorite charities! Thank you!!!
Were it not for your videos, I wouldn't have a practical idea of what it really takes to see those canyons. They're beautiful with the eyes, but the serenity is more precocious. Thanks for helping the world see what is/was (video record of history, 100 years from now probably very useful / interesting).

Kanab is my home town. I used to work at best-friends. Me and my grandpa helped build that place. Its beautiful there and I miss it. There is a underwater cave close to where you were at but it tends to be local knowledge

So glad you got the permit if the canyon. Can't wait to see your footage. Fingers crossed you get the permit for the wave. I was blessed to be able to do it last August. Also, you should make a point of doing white pocket. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! You need a 4x4 to get there. ( not kidding) There is a guide we used and he was amazing. I will comment again who they are as I can't think of the name right now. Worth every penny!!

Love that you went and volunteered at best friends, it’s been way too long since I’ve done that, need to go back. I’ve tried 4 times to win that that lottery to hike the wave and haven’t been able to win, yet. I always think I’m going to win cause I’m a single hiker, I’ll just have to keep trying. I usually swing by Kanab to enter the lottery on my way to and from Lake Powell each fall. Just found your channel a couple days ago and I’m obsessed, as I’m also in Utah and building out a PM by myself.

Since your in Kanab visit the Grand Canyon from north side for much better views. If you go through Zion there’s the similar view at checkerboard view point to that of wave. There are also bunch of state parks by the border of AZ that are plus. Spend $25 to visit antelope at Paige.

I am in the design phase of van build and your videos have been incredibly inspiring. I will be traveling alone with my dog who’s about the same size as Alexa. I would love you to do a video about traveling with a large dog. I am anxious about leaving him alone in the van. I notice Akela is always off leash. Is that because you’re mostly alone or because Akela stays by your side if necessary? Are there resources to finding trails where dogs are allowed?
