Nippon Professional Baseball (日本野球機構) or NPB is the highest level of baseball in Japan. Locally, it is often called Puro Yakyū (プロ野球), meaning simply Professional Baseball; outside of Japan, NPB is often referred to as "Japanese baseball." There are 12 teams competing in the league. Hanshin Tigers are the defending champions, having won their 2nd title in 2023.

日本のプロ野球の昨年の一試合あたりの平均観客動員は約三万人で韓国のプロ野球の約三倍です。韓国の球場並みの席数では全く足りません。😅
