These are my thoughts on my vehicle wrap (multicam black on my 2016 toyota tacoma). Just a little feedback, some things I learned, some likes and dislikes of my experience with a vehicle wrap. Second half of the video is some of my friends talking about their wraps and their experiences - I thought it'd be helpful to get a handful of perspectives on it. Hope you like the wrap video!

Huge shoutout to all the other guys for taking time to film and give their thoughts - links to all of them and everything else can be found in the video description above - definitely check em out and give them a follow!
Trail Recon and LLOD in one video? Yessss
The fact that you brought in other folks who have first hand experience was great. Very interested in a potential wrap and this was very informative. Thanks Mike!
Great to see the combined input from various respected guys in the realm off this category (off-road/overland/tacticool ish lol)
This was very informative to watch. Thank you for reaching out to other prominent folks in the community to provide their perspectives. That was also great as they, also, are out running their vehicles through the gauntlet of life.
Great stuff Mike, really cool to see what other guys are doing w wraps. Love the black multi -cam!
Great video, glad you got travis in front of a camera! I'm actually going to start directing people to this video, you answer alot of good question. Keep killing it!
Appreciate it, guys - have heard great things about your work!
Good content and very well shot/edited... keep’em coming!
Good job, this has got to be one of my favorites
Love the wrap man. Thanks for the video.
Awesome video man! So cool you collaborated with all these other content creators to get their perspective 👊
Thanks for the insight learned a lot I didn’t even know I had to worry about like the car wash stuff
Great info Mike!! Thanks for putting this together!!
That tundra is sweet man. I checked one out at a dealership got in it and I felt like I was in an air bounce....by myself I was so small in that thing 😂
Really enjoyed this one. Thanks Mike.
Such An Inspiration!! Love Your Videos.
Thanks for watching!
That thing looks awesome!!!
Thanks man!
Nice one guys great video.
SOE makes some great multicam black bags that'd go great with the truck. The owner John has a nice TRD pro tacoma too.
How do not love yours? That thing is badass.
Aloha. I was contemplating wrapping my Gladiator when I get it cuz Jeep isn’t offering Stingrey yet and that’s the color I really want
Thinking about wraping just the bumpers on my Tundra.....
I'm in Florida, but looks like I need to head out to COLORADO and get that multicam wrap on my At4
My man is looking yoked!!!
Love this channel! ^5
So I don't normally comment on these but for the algorithm "Hey" but also love your channel
Haha thanks!
been waitn for my x-cover for months but returning it. got stopped at customs for 2weeks, I'm going to wait for the release of the mini skykamp. Any idea when its gonna be released
Hey Mike I was wondering the music is playing in the background while you’re in your garage talking to the camera what song is it and who is the artist? Thanks In advance and keep up the videos and great work.
Wraptor... can't unhear!! :(
Nice info Mike! I think a LLOD/Multi-Cam partnership for wraps might be something to look forward to in the future! Also, why didn’t you put any LLOD logos on your wrap?
I might, but I often like things pretty understated. I haven't put much thought into it, but I might do an OD graphic, or gloss black - something that kinda blends.
"wRicky wRicky wRicky"- it's a wrap
Are you going to be at the Rocky MountIn Overland Rally in Gunnison 1-4 August?
I am not, I have another obligation that weekend.
what are your thoughts on using something like line-x to protect your fender flares or rocker panels? Thinking about doing it to my taco, they can color match, just wondering if it would look goofy?
You could, I think it'd look fine - it's just permanent.
Nice and hot topic. Stay hot yourself Mike.
When you get a very good installer do they wrap inside the door jams too? I have an army green tacoma and was thinking about a satin black wrap but worried about the door jams still being green.
Doesn't really have anything to do with a good or bad installer - simply how much you want to spend / invest in someone wrapping those 'unseen' parts. AKA just takes more time/money.
Mike was this video freestyle off the top of the dome or did you write your bars down first lol
Haha I only freestyle
Love the truck bro, question off topic for ya. What’s your lifting regiment and diet like. I’ve noticed you been steadily stacking on some muscle!
I'm about 5lbs lighter than I was a year ago, actually - haha. But I lift 2 or sometimes 3 times a week for about 45 mins each time. Heavy, compound lifts, and eat whatever I want. Partially good genetics, partially because I've been working out somewhat regularly for over a decade.
Word
Do they do different camouflage patterns?
Yeah they've got forest green, desert camo, arctic camo, etc.

So why a wrap rather than a rhino liner paint job? I imagine the later would hold up better on the trail
Kind of apples and oranges. You can't rhino line in multicam - though if you wanted a single color wrap, it'd be more of a question. Rhino Liner will protect the best, but it is permanent, and even it will suffer from UV fading and damage - you can't peel it off, it holds a lot of dirt, is relatively heavy, and in most cases will make resale of the vehicle more difficult. I'd never rhino line a relatively new vehicle, but might be a good option for an older rig (for me).
Last Line Of Defense I know linex has a UV protected formula and they do custom paint jobs with it... cost is similar to repainting a truck. I plan on doing it to my tundra. It is permanent, but I don’t want to drop a grip load of money on something that isn’t permanent. As for holding dirt, that’s what a pressure washer and scrub brush are for. And in reality it isn’t that heavy. I read on one site the weight is 25-30 lbs for the size of a car. Kinda minimal when you are putting 150lb bumpers on a truck lol...
To each their own I guess
@@Hudson4426 They can't do *multicam - but yeah. Vinyl is UV protected also, but everything will fade eventually. In any case - that's rad, send some pics!
Last Line Of Defense very true.. they can’t to patterns line camo... got me there... but I think these are cool as hell.

@@TACTICALNOMAD Yeah if it was a dedicated wheeling rig (then when you went to sell, there would be more buyers that'd be okay with it), or I was planning to keep it forever, and it was either garage kept, or covered - then it'd be more of an option. I think they're cool, don't get me wrong - but I've seen quite a few that have seen a little too much UV and they are not awesome.
Is Travis's Tundra stock height with those tires? Or if there a lift?
not stock height. Complete race Long Travel setup from Camburg and Fox.
@@BIGTURBO2G- Thanks alot Travis! So I'm guessing tires would rub without it having it set up like that? Badass truck btw, I'm asking cuz I have the same truck. Thank u
35s will rub 37s will most definitely rub. You will need a BMC and minor lift to clear 35. 37 will be more work.
@@travishess8790 - I appreciate the info!
👍
What does a wrap usually cost?

are you fighting demonetization? is that why there's been less focus on gun vids?
Nah, tons of gun only channels that are crrrrrruuuusssshhhhing it. Still love guns, training, etc - just was bored of making gun videos for awhile - not much ingenuity, nothing exciting, lotta the same. Once I had a bunch of stuff dialed in, I was searching for new stuff for the sake of new stuff. I like training, but my training videos with the sickest courses and instructors got like zero views, so those were a waste of time to make.
Hey
Yo!
wattup
For the algorithm
Algorithm. 👊
Если в Америке они только есть...
I think that unless you get it free through sponsorship or get an amazing deal, wrapping simply not worth the money.
Dan Reinfoma cheaper than a legit paint job.
How much rools did you needed to wrap your truck?
Pretty cool but I’d rather just drive for 5 years and get new. Also sounds like a detailing nightmare to me.
Algorithm.
That kind of money, I will just respray it with paint
Hey
