  • Did we just ruin the exterior of our trailer? Trailer graphics can be the worst blemish and eye sore on a rv. But sometimes when you remove them what they are covering could be much much worse.

We have only had our trailer 4 years and the sun has ruined our stickers. Our front panel is warping also. We just put in an aluminum carport so it can now be protected from the elements. Thanks for the great info on how to replace the stickers.

We need to just suck it up and invest in a carport for it.

Mine are also cracked up . especially the black ones. There's some prep involved to prevent overspray but painting the stickers seems like the way to go. The outline is still there on the one's you took off. Plenty of youtubes of people who repainted the old stickers.

I was thinking the same thing. If the sun has faded the stickers, its probably faded the caravan pigment overall so that when the stickers are off, there'll still be a `ghost' of them on the caravan in the darker original pigment. You'll also probably have a separate job removing all the transferred adhesive. Also, there's a risk that the adhesive may have damaged the gel-coat of the fibreglass, leaving a matt finish. At least if the stickers are otherwise in good condition they provide a ready-made template for your masking tape...

Try some chemical like acetone, the right chemical will not hurt your paint talk to a body and paint guy.

You shouldn't have any stickers on these recreational vehicles for the price you pay.

Just pay to have new graphics painted on where the bad spots are way cheaper than a repaint of the rig… people do that all the time… remove the graphics and paint them back on…

Our trailer the manufacturer went out of business around 2010. We are looking into having a new set made but having trouble locking that down. Plus we worry if new ones would do the same thing in the summer heat.

They don’t make these decals anymore. We are looking into custom ones or the cost to repaint. Neither option is cheap.

That's what happens with RVs That's why I keep full coverage on mine but I live in an RV park with 300 RVs and I don't think there's a single RV in here that does not have some type of damage to it including mine which I did myself by thinking the back stabilizers could hold more weight than they could anyways it's no different than owning a truck that you used to pull it with they get doing it in scratched and banged up it's just what happens in my case it's my home so I take a lot more pride in it but still you have to accept the fact that they are going to get dented and dinged
