Those anti-air missiles are really important. AIM-9 is short range, but also dirt cheap. The RIM-7 is current US Navy point defense against supersonic cruise missiles (and very well tested). God bless America!
I am also very happy to see 105mm and mortar rounds, since there are lots of spare 105mm artillery around, and mortars are really important for defense lines. The Ukrainian military has demonstrated the usefulness of the Bradleys, and the fact that Ukraine needs more TOW missiles for them. No sense letting them languish in storage, let them do what they were designed for, take on the Russian military.
Agreed... the US is already under a complete reconstruction and technological advancement because of what we've learned in this modern near peer conflict. Why not send all the past-gen tech to Ukraine and let it actually be put to use, rather than sitting in dust for the next two decades and becoming defunct, which then costs tax dollars to either repurpose or dispose of properly. I am thankful my tax dollars finally went to something I support.

If the US is now happy to send unrestricted range ATACMs the UK/France should now do the same with Stormshadow.

The unrestricted range ATACMS is basically same range as the restricted storm shadow, what matter is if the US allow ATACMS to be used inside Russian territory, in that case the 500km StormShadow would make sense but if itâs not the case France and the UK wouldnât allow Ukraine to strike on Russian territory.
@@ni9274 Derestricting Stormshadow's range would allow strikes to be launched into Crimea from deep within Ukraine and the western Black Sea. The missiles could approach from the north, west or south, making them harder to counter. Since geographical restrictions already apply it seems pointless to restrict the capabilities of the weapon in other ways.

The US wil be producing 85k to 100k artillery shells per month soon, that does not include partners. I"m sure there will be more later. IT might not be broadcast but done quietly. That way it can't be tracked.

I think it's mostly the risk of losing YT income when you depend on it, not that the channel would get deleted (but I may be wrong). Violence and gore makes a video 18+, so it's not getting shown to many users by the algorithm, and then bigger channels tend to get reported more often and completely demonetized. In the case of pro-Ukraine news/propaganda channels Denys is not alone. It happened to Reporting from Ukraine and Arthur Rehi. They suspected Russian bots mass flagging their videos for inappropriate content, so that an automated system demonetized them until an employee at YT had a look at it.
TVP World on the other hand is state owned and publicly funded. They don't care if the combat footage they show gets them demonetized on YT.

We send the outdated Units to Ukraine to bolster its defenses, our government spends the aid money here in the U.S to transport and send the equipment to Ukraine while also freeing up our military reserve for new things. And we can get people more jobs by creating arms contracts to re-equip the U.S stockpile with more modern equipment now that we have places to store the new stuff! and the more jobs= better economy. It is a Win-Win situation.
This is the best Defense spending in terms of reducing our enemies military capability in the last 50 years.
Except the new equipment costs five times as much and the money you are spending is borrowed money your GDP to debt ratio is 107% and climbing so your spending more than your earning, thanks to Biden at least with Trump the economy was better, and he was right to plug the border. Little correction there Denys: Pure oxygen is totally NOT highly flammable. Only if *combined* with another element, such as hydrogen or methane and you mix that together, then you have very highly a flammable substance. Oxygen by itself does not burn.

It's a huge relief that the military aid package was approved and signed. I can only imagine how it must be for all Ukrainians. The silver lining of the costly delay is that it probably caused the European allies to shift into a different gear, which represents a major continuing benefit for Ukraine, all of Europe, and the entire international coalition of democratic countries. Here in the US we are just learning that the larger package ($95B) includes spending on US military production infrastructure. This is good news for both the US and its allies (Ukraine of course!). Infrastructure expansion will mean overall production capacity will be increased, allowing replenishment of key munitions, including artillery shells and Himars munitions. The US may always not live up to its once fabled "Arsenal of Democracy" but it looks like we are shaking off the cob webs of the post cold war era to prepare for this next chapter in global events. Increasing production for 155mm ammunition began in November of 2022. HIMARS ammunition as well, and AIM 120 (important for those NASAMS and F-16s) has already doubled to over 1,100 missiles per year. The spending allows even larger increases, and it's about time. The increase actually allows the US military to purchase the ammunition to replace the 2 million rounds of 155mm ammunition already sent by the US. Meanwhile, Europe allocated 1 billion to increase 155mm ammunition, but a year later they are still arguing about where the money will be spent. Sigh.
Yeah, we better get ready, China, N. Korea and Iran are watching this closely. The old Cold War doctrines are obsolete.
