Chuck Norris, six-time World Karate Champion, stars in his first suspense film as the tough, street-fighting sheriff of a small Texas town terrorized by a psychotic killer. Sheriff Stevens (Norris) is faced with the dilemma of stopping the invincible murderer, made virtually indestructible through genetic engineering. A young group of researchers are responsible for developing the genetically altering serum, and the head of the research institute is determined to continue the experiments, regardless of the consequences. Norris displays fighting brilliance as he single-handedly routs a dozen brutal bikers from a truck stop hangout, while revealing a warm and sexy side when he rekindles an old romance with Alison Halman (Toni Kalem), a researcher at the institute. Excitement, horror, and romance prevail as Norris combats the killer.

I love how, even though he got hit, Chuck doesn’t have to get beat half to death (unlike other “martial artists”) before he “miraculously” finds the strength and ability to win. Maybe that’s the difference between an exhibition fighter and a true competition, world champion fighter that’s actually been tested in full contact fights.

Chuck is a legend!! Grew up watching this man's movies and he never failed to deliver! One of my favourite action stars! I think among his best movies is "Code Of Silence" (1985) (love that movie which he did with director Andrew Davis who went on to direct "Above The Law" (1988), "The Package" (1989), "Under Siege" (1992), "The Fugitive" (1993) etc.).

I remember hearing back about 30 years ago back in high school that Chuck Norris's house got burglarized but the culprits were still in his residence when he arrived and my friend described it as very unfortunate because they all was hospitalized with broken bones and severe damage. The fight scene in Code of Silence in a bar may be better. All Chuck's fights look real. Nowadays, the actors fly around using cables or do a back flip and land on a roof top.

He first studied tang soo do while serving in the U.S. Airforce Security Police while stationed in South Korea. His older brother was KIA in the Vietnam war. All of the high kicking and punching wrecked his joints requiring him to undergo double hip replacement surgeries and rotator cuff surgeries.
My mom was never studying any of martial arts, and she also has 2 hips replacement, so what do You say for that? This has nothing to do with it.

Good fight scene against Hell Angel
Excellent fight scene. Chuck made one mistake though. He failed to re stomp those groins. A lesson or two from Master Ken and it would have been perfection. Best thing, he didn’t work up a sweat. He needs to go run out into the desert and wrestle a pair of Mountain Lions. That is if he can find two willing to wrassle.
