Thank you for introducing this band to me. Love them. You mentioned them in the sion record stream

I missed the stream but I’m glad I watched your guys reaction. Eternal Blue is my favorite track on the album. The full body chills and emotion that track gave me.

People expect every song to be like holy roller. But based on the 4 singles…. Why? Holy roller all screams, Constance and secret garden had no screams & circle with me few screams. Maybe not for everyone but it’s exactly what we should’ve expected and I thought it was amazing

Anyone who expects Holy Roller on every song probably hasn't listened to anything prior to it.
A lot of people probably haven't even listened to any Spiritbox songs prior to Rule of Nines. I'd honestly love to hear more songs like The Beauty of Suffering and Trustfall

Yeah i feel like way too many people expected holy roller vibes when its an outlier. I know im far in the minority here, but i Love almost every song they have ever put out and i almost always skip holy roller because i find it a boring song that has no progression, and just super heavy all the time doesn’t automatically impress me

The title track is so fucking insane. The choke hold that track has on me. On repeat nonstop since day 1

I find it amusing that you were saying Hurt You and Blessed Be vibes... and the Eternal Blue plays and hits me with all the Blessed Be feels... that song is growing on me so much.

Eternal has that haunting sound that that Blessed Be has. But Hurt You is all about that catchy chorus

I don't think they originally intended to put Holy Roller out as a single, it just happened to be one of the few songs they had ready to go when the album was delayed. But yeah it was a blessing and a curse releasing it as a single and it blowing up.

Yellow Jacket would have been the PERFECT single

Halcyon is probably my favorite non-single from the album, but Eternal Blue and Sun Killer were fantastic. Figured Yellowjacket would do it for me with Sam Carter being on it but there were just so many top tier tracks on this album

Top 5 would have to be silk in the strings, yellow jacket, eternal blue, summit, and Constance. Halcyon and holy roller would be close to making it to 5 but Constance just never fails to get me in the feels so I couldn't keep it out of 5. Rest of the songs are great but the top 5 are songs I could easily see myself playing on repeat alot.

You know an album's good when you can't even pick a top 5. Sun Killer, Silk in the Strings, Halcyon, Eternal Blue, Hurt You, Constance AND The Summit are all up there for me. The only song I'm not bothered by is We Live In A Strange World, I can't really explain why but I think your pop discussion may be close for me... it's FAR from a bad song, I'm just a bit unbothered by it lol. Everything else is great too, so rare to listen to a whole album and not dislike at least 1 track!
