Ships as long and as wide as the Arvin are narrow to fit through locks somewhere. They're not fit for Bluewater or Open Sea.
Whoever took that ship on the ocean hazarded their command.
Không thể tưởng nổi...
The New Zealand fishing boat was crossing a dangerous bar
The RNLI is run by volunteers, total respect to these people who have to go out in the worst weather to help those in trouble.
Maybe a while ago they were respectable. Nowadays the rnli is Lilly me more than an illegal immigrant taxi service!! Any donations to the RNLI go directly to ruining the UK & making British people a minority in their own country.
The worst times onboard can never be seen because it is too stormy, dark and the visibility is zero. These are the good conditions. Its harder when you can't see the waves.
Maintaining power and directional control is EVERYTHING..
Thanks for watching
Buoyancy probably should be on the list somewhere
salute to all the seafarers
At 4:35 the fishing boat crossing the Grey River bar is clearly returning from work, NOT going out!
Sorry for my mistake.
Thanks for watching
Nice
Thanks for watching 🙏
*** "Giant waves" are NOT "like a tsunami. ***
A tsunami is no where hear as high at sea; but is way longer wavelength; way more powerful in shallow areas; longer lasting; close to invisible at sea; and not at dangerous in the deep ocean.
1:38 one boat, three crews, zero in english class 🤣
EXCELLENT VIDEO
WELL DONE
Thanks for watching sir !
I want to thank you for showing the most amazing events, sometimes sad, and narration is excellent.

Hi sir, thanks really appreciate your comment.
Thanks for watching sir!

Well you are most welcome but last time I checked my dear I am all woman. Lol 😂 But that’s a mistake easily made, don’t worry, be happy 😊
Why? Why give false praise instead of honesty? Don’t you want him to become a better narrator?
@@theprinceofallsaiyans5830
Is it not in my right to state how I feel and see it? Calm down a little bit buddy
@The Prince Of All Saiyans you're right
Just watching this is horrifying but living these waves 🌊 is unbelievable.
Thanks for watching 🙏
Not “Royal Nation;” it’s the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, or RNLI, who are real-life heroes. God protect them.
Thanks for watching 👍
I watched a great documentary about the RNLI. Brave men definitely worthy of great respect!
absolutley love what you say about the RNLI volunteer officers. Big up the RNLI!!
Thanks for watching 🙏
Awesome! I wonder if the Andrea Gails engine failed on the Perfect Storm...leading it to turn sideways onto the waves?
that's the problem with engines these captains rely on them for control over the rudder. Some old double ended sailing vessels don't even have engines! but they do have captains that know how to sail! however these old guys are a dying breed and so are double enders with full keels. that's because they don't have a lotta room for their length and the one I sailed on briefly in the 60's had gimbled bunks for sleep. yeah pretty fox'cle whats that? there were 4 gimbled bunks up there on this boat that's it for sleeping. this boat was an absolute tank! he defouled it in the bay of fundy it was never pulled from the water.
@@leecowell8165 Thanks for the comment. So thats true...maybe a sail boat would have had a better chance..
Perfect Storm is a classic

ชอบดูสารคดีทางทะเลครับ
5:30 was a ship that was NOT designed for ocean travels, just rivers and canals.
Thanks for watching!
then who told them to go out to the ocean this caused lives bro
Footage like this reminds me why war seasons were a thing in ancient times. Can't have naval warfare is conditions like these
May our Lord God bless these brave souls, who endure terrible storms to keep supplies going between countries. If the feminists want to be represented 50/50 with men, let them try being a sailor on these ships. It is men that take on these jobs. I don't think those who are anti male would last 2 seconds!! Brave men, I salute you all, 💞✌✌👍👍🙏
Feminists want fair opportunities - not equality in all things. Your god whom you want to bless these poor souls also created the storms that will.kill them. I know several women who are ships officers and seafarers. Just grow up.
The sailors experienced a terrifying and deadly wave the size of a tsunami..

Я смотрел фильм " Идеальный шторм"! Хороший фильм.
Thanks for watching!
The Arvin wasn't seaworthy. They had added on to it, and that's the part you see breaking off. The welds didn't hold. It wasn't meant for the open sea, only canal and river work. Whoever sent it into the ocean sent those men to their deaths. ⚓
اللهم إني اشهدك واشهد حملة عرشك وملائكتك وجميع خلقك انك انت الله
لا إله إلا انت وان محمداً عبدك ورسولك
Amazing how a several ton ship is like a little plastic boat in the ocean.
Number 7 is a boat crossing the Greymouth Bar in New Zealand. The Greymouth bar is known for being the deadliest sandbar in NZ and has taken many lives. Crossings like these are not too rare as the average high tide wave length at the moment is 3 meters (10ft).
Hi thanks i really appreciate your comment.
Thanks for watching sir
Andrea Gail and the tragic Los of thoebrave men was very real. The sea is al powerful and deserves utmost respect.3 severe tropical cyclones at sea on merchant ships under my belt and never to be forgotten.

I’ve been in seas like these in the Gulf of Alaska, there’s just no way to describe the experience.
Gulf sucks. Lol I’m from AK. Not a happy place
Surface diving is normal procedure when lifting people straight from the sea.
Thanks i didn't know that!
I thought that was a dangerous method
Well, it is dangerous , but in many cases the only option.
Chek out sinking of Estonia on Baltic.
That almost made their ship upside down, you’re right but that made me laugh.
Hi! Love ur videos. When you zay "this happened in 2005" you do no need to add "ago". Just trying to be helpful. 😉
Thanks for the correction 👍
Just asking, why we shouldn't add ago while speaking about past?
Can you tell the reason 😁
@@VIRALVIDEOSofficial95 Here is an example.... "His mother died 20 years ago" "His mother died in 2002"....see what I mean?
@@VIRALVIDEOSofficial95 Because when you provide a date, and the date is in the past, then you’ve already established that the event took place in the past. You don’t need to add “ago” because we already know the event was in the past by virtue of the specific date given.
hilarious

The wave seen at the end of movie the perfect storm is impossible. Talk to any expert & they will tell you the same thing the ocean can't generate a wave that big

Oh that last one she was on the beach not just too far from it, last frame was the keel, prop, and rudder exposed to light.

Wah monster ombak
"Good job on the narration" said no one.
Crossing Cape Horn on a Naval cruiser caused our crew to walk half on wall, half on floor, to get around the ship. The cruiser shuttered terribly going over the crest of giant waves. The Sonar broke taking on water and the upper structure cracked nearly in half. There are worst storms around that cape than we experienced.
Reading a novel called The Wager about a shipwreck around the Cape Horn. That’s what brought me to this video because I wanted to know how modern ships navigate such storms

5:19, the front fell off. Why? Because a wave hit it.

They are called ROGUE waves and are massive.
Sorry, English is not my first language.

The sea owns the waves so I would call it a rogue ship

I wonder if it was ever determined why the Arvin hull broke.
The ship was too old probably?
@@VIRALVIDEOSofficial95 It was built in 1975. I have no idea if that's considered old or not. Even so, it would be speculative to say age was an issue, or if something else happened.
Bad maintenance.
It broke because it was never designed for ocean travel. It was a river boat, which it was capable of doing. But when it got put on the ocean, there were forces that it was never intended to deal with on a daily basis. Ocean travel is FAR harder on a vessel than river work is. It should have never been put on any ocean, it was a death trap.
@@willmorrison1022 I had no idea ships were each designed for certain types of water. That's truly a revelation to me.
Who's responsibility is it to know these things of a specific ship and ensure that it's operated that way? Owner? Captain?
