Survival is why I got into fishing in the first place. I decided to start learning now rather than when or if something happens.
This is a first class kick ass fishing kit. I have 11 of one very close to this made out of pvc pipe. I have 11 survval kits. I practice once a week with my equipment. I came back late today from being in the woods for the last 3 days. My lunch was cheese stuffed fresh catfish fillets deep fried and toasted garlic bread. Done on my Jet Boil stove. I have 32 years survival and self defense training. Love my life. Im now 64 years old and in the woods once a week. Im an ex Army Ranger.
Way to go Andrew. Great video and great job.
Rangers clear the way.
Charles
@insideimagery133 I don't use love bait any more. It's a little bit more work but it's self rewarding. The best places I use to find worms was under old logs, under old lumber and sheets of old tin. That's how I use to get mine. All I use now is artificial baits.
Charles 🪖🇺🇸❤️
Exleant work. Packed full of knowledge. Well done. I am 64 years old grew up using a cane pole with hook, line and bobber. Many a meal haversted in a simple manner. Doesn't take a genius to dig up some worms or catch a grasshopper. Keep up the good work. A lot of fathers aren't around to show a child how to 🐟
Worst day fishin' is better than the best day workin'.
It's very packable insofar it doesn't take up much room. I have an 18" fishing rod- the primary go to- that easily attaches to the outside of my pack(s). One thing I learned from Corporal's Corner was using a small piece of orange paracord to put on a hook if you don't have live bait. It's amazing how well it works. It's cool that you actually go out and prove the concept.
Yeah!! Now i remeber that one! Im also subd with corp
Nice!!!
Teaching old dogs new tricks is a great skill. Andrew has this skill in spades, I am the proof. Thank you for all the effort you put into producing these great videos.
Great idea. From the best survival instructor.
Woohoo! Thank you, Ranger!
WoW! 33 seconds in,BAM! That's a great pond there.I carry about 1/4 tsp.of Zekes rainbow bait,put into a corner of a plastic bag,stuff works like a charm.I also carry a bunch of #12-#14 treble hooks,they work amazingly well but not 33 seconds,yet.Thanks Andrew,Awesome tutorial,Rr Up!!!
Awesome thanks! An idea= bank line thread 5 lg swivels on it overhand figure8 in 5 foot increments place a wt at the end of your 40 ft piece using a #8 hook or larger with 100 lb riggers line . Tie in to a float or a stake. This can be a turkey/ waterfowl trotline or a catfish trotline.
Appreciate your time!
Thanks Andrew
Brilliant fishing kit major .
Much appreciated.
Great Knowledge and proven Efficiency !
Nothing but Respect !
Survival skills that everyone should have!!! I love your channel and how you provide the basics!!! Practice and patience is certainly needed especially nowadays!!! Things keep going haywire the way it looks to be heading we will all need these Survival skills in place...better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have a clue what or how to start...thanks for providing me with the motivation to keep being prepared 😉
Thanks Major. Great info.
Incredible Andrew, thank you!
Thank you
That's an awesome little kit. I have never seen one of those flare tubes before, I like it. I use pill bottles of all sizes for many things, fishing kits, snare kits, first aid kits, fire kits including a pill bottle stuffed with petroleum jelly soaked cotton balls, and of course my vitamins and meds.
Great video
Indeed
Brilliant kit! Well done sir!
Really great content here, Andrew. Love the containment method of the fishing kit. The ability to efficiently use this kit is paramount. Practice, and enjoying the outdoors will get you there though. It sure has proved to be great fishing in that little pond. Appreciate the added knowledge...
your the coolest man on the planet Impressive. 😮
Thank you , Sir
Nicely done its way more extensive than the ones I've made in the past. Great idea!!
Always the best content, easy to learn, and valuable survival skills. Thank you, Sir!
Another good show. Thanks
Mr Andy, I have listened to everything you have taught . I'm almost ready for the Pathfinder school. Shame I am in Australia 🇦🇺.. in Australia I have to be carefull. We cannot even have a slingshot to feed ourselves.
THAT was ROCKIN! Thank you ...😃
Really neat recyclable kit. Waterproof.
I’ve had my casing for going on 25 years. Used it for everything from a weapons cleaning kit to perimeter security kit.
Great stuff. 🇺🇸
Where do you get a flare case? Been searching online/eBay.
@@tcranger85 hehehe - got mine in the Corps. Never turned it in. 🇺🇸🥃
@@STOKERMATIC as the saying goes, “there’s only one thief in the military, everyone else is just trying to get their shit back.”
I've made similar kits from old flashlights.
Outstanding video! Many simple, tried and true methods that I haven't used since I was a kid. Thank you for the reminder and new ideas. Keep them coming.
That flare case fishing kit is the bomb! I learned a lot! Thank you!
Thanks for this video. I was looking for a few years on primitive traps for fishing. This is the first moderan take on ancient ideas I’ve seen besides the hobo reel. Good job!!!
Slaying the fish!
Excellent as always.
I dont have a flare tube, but i do,have 1-1/4 pvc pipe with end caps works just as good
Outstanding video as always.
Wow
Bro you're up there with Dave canonbury and dual survivors and the serious hardcore survivalist I have so much respect for you keep doing what you doing
Andrew, great video and info!!!!!!! Fish on!
cool , stay ready , keep from getting ready ,
I also use small eye screws as guides/eyelets. Many items are multi-use for snares too 🙂
Excellent!!
thanks for all the wonderful tips, take care
Awesome again! 🤛🏻
Great vid, i made a mini one for my hiking kit with two old film canisters taped together, same principle but just less storage, but more compact and easier to carry.
The one thing i will say about that net, as an experienced fisherman, unless you set that up in a choke point in strong current, i wouldn’t expect to catch much in it.
Very nice survival fishing kit. Also appreciate you showing how to catch fish with each method. Most don’t. Thanks for posting
Awesome.
Brilliant! Can’t wait to try this one 👍
I like these many thanks
Awesome video Andrew! Absolutely love the flarw casing survival fishing kit. That quick deploying trout line was amazing! I'm definitely gonna keep these in mind brother. Keep the good content coming!!!
Outstanding! Great info that was well explained.
Awesome! 🥾🏔️
Great Kit
Great video and tips for fishing...freedom for all people..
Another great video Andrew! Nice! Lots of ideas.
Great kit!
i get a wealth of knowledge from your videos, Sir, and that additional knowledge allows me to update add to and replace things in my kit to better suit space and need. as always, much thanks Andrew!!
Fricken awesome video!! The fact you got all that wildlife is a real testimit to you knowledge and skill in the field. Very impressive!!
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I really appreciate it.
A snail or Helgramite is a fine bait; crack the snail shell well and hook it thru the foot and Do Not remove the shell after cracking as you wantt o keep that snail as bait as long as you can.
I caught 5 large trout in the Nat. Guard in southern Oregon. 7 Lakes Basin area next to 4 mile lake.
Dave Canterbury did a kit like this many years ago, but instead of loose items his were in old film containers. Yours held a lot of stuff especially the frog spear. Thanks for your videos.
I'm guessing that cork bobbers would be better than the plastic bombers?
Over watched a few of your videos now and something just seemed different from others, and it just hit me tonight. No annoying distracting music, just simple knowledge. Thanks for that
10:44 homie just happy to out the house😂 great stuff keep it up
As promised - the fishing video. Good stuff. Great meeting you.
I have similar. Thanks.
Awsome video thank you
Thank you Andrew, a very helpful video.
Another great video. Always things I learn. Stay safe. ✌️
The flare storage case have great uses. Cache tubes for survival kits and added to a large cache case for ammunition.
It's also the perfect size for storing silver coins. I can't remember if it's perfect for silver dollars or 1 Oz. Coins.
Great kit! Wish I had your skills Andrew. Have a good one!
great video as usual. really good tip with he sewing spools with line and hook already on.
Another great video of down an dirty tips! Great job!
What a great kit. Thanks for the video
Good info!
Made one out of an old boat key float about 5 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide got the idea from corporals corner about a year ago.great video keep em coming
Great fishing kits Andrew
Great
An outstanding video as usual. I'm not a fisherman so this instruction was very valuable. Thank you!
Good information.
Great video Andrew. I have use the flare containers for everything and I find it funny when you get out of the military how hard they are to find. Be safe
Another good one Andrew. An excellent reference for my kit. Thanks for you knowledge and expertise.
It’s all good to know
Excellent video to learn from
Another awesome video, Andrew. Well done. Hooah
Great job. One small thing I would like to see added to the fishing kit are three small screw eyes like you would use on a picture frame. Together with a branch you can make a very effective
fishing pole. Think fly rod.
Excellent content!
That is awesome
A good idea for my casings....
Great video. Pretty cool trout line
Good stuff!
I carry a collapsible fishing rod, I even have a miniature one that works great..
I keep my gear in seperate compartments. Fire, Compass, Medical, etc.
Another great video! Keep them coming brother! Love the quick deploy trout line set up heading to the shop to make one now.
As always cool stuff.
Hoooah. Great idea. Great video
