I’d love to see every stage of the W113 restoration from start to finish. I’d like to see the same from all models you can get. If possible, I’d like to see comparisons with other companies like Brabus, SL Shop and the like but then that would become a full time job I guess.

The car sits up high. I imagine it is easy in and out plus better visibility. Cars are low and have wider wheelbases now. The car has allure.

It is amazing that Mercedes Benz used to make beautiful vehicles. 2024 models are unrecognizable and horrible. They need to hire new designers and quit putting screens and disco lights in their cars.

@@unknown_0815 you must be blind or have your head in the sand. Even the shareholders know they have lost their minds. They make some of the worst vehicles on the planet.look at the depreciation. Nobody with any taste wants them.
I fully stand by that if you‘re talking about the EQ lineup.
But the rest, nuh uh.
The rest is very clearly recognisable and to me it feels like saying that old Mercedes were better is the equivalent of saying „back then everything was better“. It‘s not accurate and only feels that way to people because we generally tend to see the negative and appreciate the design language we grew up with more.
100 years from now, chances are high that people will say „man, today‘s MB models are really not as good as they used to be. Remember the 2021 models? They were so pleasing“

Ask someone who looks at a new 2024 E-Class and thinks it’s an S-Class. 100 years from now (JUST LIKE NOW) people will laugh and shake their heads at this era of design. Going old school and relying on their heritage is the only path forward. Lexus and even Genesis design better and more reliable vehicles. Mercedes is a joke and only coveted by poor people who dream of what a rich person actually drives. NOBODY in my circle takes them seriously or drives one. They are Uber cars and nothing else.
