      You will love it once you get it set up right. Also you will want to know how many teeth your blades have. If they are not divisible by three then you will have a skip. If you go past the skip you will set the teeth wrong.

      @@honeybeehomesteading So I tried my new Dino setter and the horse shoe seems not to centre itself after the right side hits and when the pusher comes to push the next saw tooth it hits the set screws! how high are your saw teeth above the deck? it tells me about 1/16 also my right set screw seem to be touching the deck when going to the left! I am going to call them Monday. I could modify it somewhat but I don't want to void the warranty and I didn't pay almost 1000.00 for something that doesn't work! If I can get the bugs worked out it will be great!

      @@SuperHurdman your set screws should be on top. And out of the way of everything. I raise my blade until the hammers are center ed on the tip of the blade. The pusher and height adjustments will time in the blade. The hammers tune in the set. Changing and setting this up is a pain but once it is set it runs like a dream. I did grind my hammers to adjust for wear. I used a flap disk 120 grit and just gave the hammer a slightly larger face. Don't worry if one hammer is set out farther than the other just make sure you have equal set. I have 3/4 and 7/8 blades....I hate my 3/4 spaced blades.as they require me to adjust the set. I will probably go to all 7/8 blades just so I don't have to keep adjusting back and forth

      @@SuperHurdman I reread you comment in understand know what you are saying about your set screws. I assume you are talking about the hammers. Your hammers should be set to hit the tip of the blade only. I think you may have them hitting too far down on the blade. I would back off the hammers to minimum and get the stroke working right then move them in. if you still have problems maybe we can do a zoom and i can show you if you need to do. if you have a new blade it is the easiest way to set up the machine.

    Wow that is fast! Is it adjustable for different blade types?

    • @honeybeehomesteading
      @honeybeehomesteading  Před 3 lety

      Yes you can adjust it to different blade types. i currently use it for 3/4 and 7/8 spaced teeth but it will do larger and smaller no problem

      @@davidallen04 feel free to contact me when you get it in. They can be a little tricky setting up the first time. The hammers can also get worn and may need to be ground a little...mine did.

      I got my setter in about 3 weeks ago, had a major clean up and then trial and error on the set up and realizing I
      have to turn my blades inside out to feed correctly but, got it going now. It's great.
