Today weâre going to talk about the best vegetable for gastritis. I believe the best vegetable for gastritis is cabbage.
Gastritis is essentially an inflamed stomach. This is a major problem. It could take years for your stomach to become inflamed. Typically this is a chronic problem after taking Aspirin for many years, taking steroids, the overuse of antacids, or a bad diet. The main symptom of gastritis is upper central abdominal pain. There may also be bloating.
A few gastritis triggers:
âą Chronic stress
âą Not enough sleep
âą Sugar and refined carbs
âą Too much coffee
âą H. Pylori (destroys the mucus lining, lowers stomach acid, lowers intrinsic factor)
There is a great natural remedy for gastritis that is actually the same remedy for H. pylori. You want to consume foods high in sulforaphane, which would be cabbage and broccoli sprouts. But, cabbage also has other phytonutrients that could greatly help in reducing inflammation because theyâre anti-inflammatory. Itâs also loaded with vitamin C, which can help clean up the free-radical damage coming from the inflammation.
If you have gastritis, your diet is crucial. You need to consume very high-quality foods, you need to cut out any junk, and you need to do intermittent fasting. Mastic gum may also help inhibit H. Pylori if you have an infection.
A few more things you could do for gastritis:
1. Take a probiotic
2. Chew on raw black seeds
3. Take zinc carnosine
You may want to start by having more cabbage and broccoli sprouts. Gastritis can take months to heal. Once it has healed, then you could start to acidify the stomach with apple cider vinegar or betaine hydrochloride.

Man i had gastritis last year and what a rollercoaster it was. Took so long to heal. Cabbage juice and eating healthy, no junk food, and exersizing plus many many months and I've been back to normal for over 2 months now. Even eating anything I want except in moderation on junk foods.

Recommending Nobel prize for Dr Eric Berg for brigning knowledge to the general public that even many health professionals can't explain in simple words.
Theyâre called pill pushers for a reason. Many of them shun natural remedies. Medical school is basically pro big pharma indoctrination.
@@Cr1ms0nRav3n No kidding. I once noticed a pharma company representative visiting a clinic distributing gifts among staff members and promising lunch the following month. There are loyalist doctors who aggressively prescribe medicine and then get rewarded. Many such doctors have refused to see a patient if they refuse to take medicine.

Iâve just been discharged from hospital with a gastritis diagnosis. All they gave me was omeprazole - none of the helpful information you have now shared about how to treat underlying causes! Thank you Dr. Berg!!!
Me too. Hospital even served orange juice for me at breakfast, which I knew to avoid
â@@kd2533 it's infuriating, isn't it? I was diagnosed with gastritis today and the doctor didn't even bother to tell me what foods I should avoid until I inquired at the last moment.
It's almost as if they expect us to have visions in the night where we unconsciously assimilate all the knowledge on how to not make Gastritis worse. Most of them are just so used to seeing sick people that they look at us like chickens in a poultry farm; they just diagnose and prescribe medicines, and if it doesn't work, well then, too bad. There are millions of other chickens in the line.
I was just diagnosed with gastritis on 5/4/22 by endoscopy. My symptoms are the following, nausea, early satiety, constant burping, feeling full all the time, loss of appetite, pain in the upper belly and radiating through my back as well as weight loss. Since being diagnosed, I have been eating a very strict diet, walking an hour a day, meditating, and getting 7-8 hours of sleep. I am already seeing improvements in my symptoms. The nausea has almost completely left, I used to burp about 40 times an hour, now it is more like 10 times an hour and the burps are more gentler rather than the hard belching I had before. I am even getting a bit of appetite back. I still got long ways to go but I am so happy I am already seeing very good improvements. Never took the PPI's, flushed them down the toilet.
Can you please tell me what type of foods you ate like for breakfast lunch dinner
@@icediamonds11 Basically a very bland diet. Typical breakfast is one boiled egg, with two gluten free buckwheat crackers and a banana. For snack, I drink either kefir or coconut water plus fruits like watermelon, papaya, mango, or honeydew. Lunch is boiled chicken breast, with yellow squash, cabbage, and carrots. Sometimes I eat sardines for lunch. Dinner is more boiled chicken, beets, avocado, and some organic hummus. I also eat small meals, but 5 times a day and I am seeing really awesome results!
@@josephochoa3136 do you season the chicken?
@@icediamonds11 No because if I do it gives me symptoms
I just got diagnosed with gastritis and it's horrible. I now get daily migraines with no sleep. I'll try your plan but I have to season the chicken a little. Praying for everyone

I got gastritis during CFIDS in the 1990s. Also was under LOTS of stress. Before that Iâd been a heavy coffee drinker, 9 cups a day. Got a gastroscopy, no ulcer but some inflammation. A gastroenterologist told me I had LOW stomach acid. Then in 2015 learned I lack intrinsic factor and was put on B12. Now it only acted up as I was taking a lot of powdered C as antiCovid prophylaxis AND eating tons of hot red chili peppers!
Do you mean your blood test show u have low B12 ?? How do your doctor know u lack of instrinsic factor??
This makes so much sense!!

I quickly found out that intermittent fasting makes my stomach produce lots of acid, so it appears IF can exacerbate the issue for some people. I tried 16/8 fast: stop food at 4pm, break my fast at 10am. Well, Iâd wake up in the morning and immediately get the gnawing acid feeling, and doesnât stop no matter how much water I drink, it wonât stop. Only when I put food in my stomach it subsides. I also wake up in the night with it at 3-4am. Iâd recommend cutting out dark chocolate, that did improve things for me somewhat. Iâm going to try cabbage, but I already deal with so much bloating and gas from any kind of fibre, it makes me nervous. P.s. NEVER do ACV (apple cider vinegar) if you have this - pouring acid on your raw stomach lining is a BAD IDEA, like Dr Berg says. Unfortunately easy mistake to make as gastritis can resemble SIBO, for which ACV is recommended. Agony.
How are you doing 9 months later?
@@jordanwofford2733 Still have the issue, unfortunately. Still on keto, but I have had to drop the amount of meat I eat as it seems to make things worse. Still dealing with awful gnawing stomach acid that wakes me up in the early hours. Makes me worry about getting a stomach ulcer. Iâm really just limping along atm trying to figure out what to do next. Fecal transplant sounds good right about now.

All of the symptoms have plagued me for several months. Today, I felt slightly discombobulated while on my way to the Market for Sardines. Once a week, I drink three Suja Probiotic Shots, and occasionally eat Bananas, which soothes the burning. Lately, I havenât had much of an appetite. I have been consuming three cups of Water per day, and one Can of Sardines topped with Garlic (bad mistake, because it causes burning) and Oregano to clear the mucus. That works well.
One meal makes me feel like I ate a 20-pound Turkey, and I get excessive gas. I never got around to juicing the Cabbage. Tomorrow morning, I'll be juicing.
love fermented cabbage. The stuff made in vinegar you get at the grocery store tastes like crap. I always though that sauerkraut was one of the most disgusting condiments until I tried to make it at home. Now I can eat it as a snack food.
Very informative video. And important too. Because when it comes to gastritis, food is the main key component.

Any news on that?
Which of his tips on gastritis have you tried? What about fasting, using his powder supplements so that no solid foods enter the stomach for a while?
According to the late Jay Kordash, the Juiceman, the cabbage juice must be at room temperature because rapidly drinking cold juice will cause nausea and you have to drink it all in about a minute after juicing. He said the reason for that is sulforaphane degrades rapidly. Also, eating whole cabbage with gastritis would be torture. Your gut is in no condition to digest whole cabbage.
I just boiled cabbage in water and drink the purple water. I'm a bit scared because i'm hoping the cabbage doesn't bring on more bloat and burping. I'm also fearful of its fermentation qualities in the stomach and it giving off more gas as it ferments. I dunno at this point.
