- After years of dreaming, I finally go camping and offroading Nuevo Leon, Mexico and the Sierra Madre Oriental Mountain Range. My dad and I take off in my Toyota Tundra and meet with the Aguerridos 4X4. We start at La Huasteca outside Monterrey, Mexico and venture through Presa Rompepicos, Rayones, Galeana, and so many beautiful areas inside the remote areas of the state of Nuevo Leon.

Man, ya'll are eating like kings with the fresh local ingredients and the tuna steaks. Thanks for sharing such an incredible cultural and overland experience.
Thanks Cabell!! Beautiful experience
Unforgettable to say the least. Father - son adventure I will never forget. Great times. Amazing memories. Love you my dear son ❤️
A true epic adventure! Mexican hospitality is second to none.
The best part about MEXICO 🇲🇽 son los MEXICANOS,
People are AMAZING.
Gracias compitas por la ayuda !!!
GR8 video clip.
aguerridos 4x4 🙏🏼
Fantastic. Your Father seems right at home recording and speaking on this channel. Would enjoy more trips of the two of you.
Thank you!
What an epic run! I've seen some overlanding channels from there that ran something like this but your stuff is always put together superb bro. Glad your dad was there with ya to experience it. Can't wait to hit a run like this!
There is no way this video could do justice to what you lived out there but it's a taste we can only imagine! Can't be more grateful for you taking us along! The whole thing was amazing but that last trail up with the pines and what looked like aloes or agaves was something else. It's crazy like you said to think just about 3/4hrs southwest from me the terrain changes that much. Similar feeling to 3hrs east the beach and 5hrs just northwest you get Canyons and desert. Really lucky yo be where we are.
No por nada dicen que la belleza de Mexico es incomparable.
Wish I had the courage you had to travel into Mexico. Hopefully one day.
Eugene, Oregon.
We caravan with experienced international travelers.
Awesome trip man, especially that you experienced it with your dad....
It's so refreshing to see something original on an overlanding channel. Nice way to spend quality time with your pops . Looking forward to more videos like this.
Great video! You captured the essence of this trip very well. I'm so glad you and your Dad enjoyed this trip. It would have been easy to merely drive down and enjoy driving the trails, but when I first conceived this trip I wanted to experience the culture authentically. I think we came pretty close, and that's why this trip is so special. Thanks for sharing this with us. See you on the trails! Todd
Now, that’s an adventure! What more can you ask for; beautiful people, culture, and country. Definitely one of my favorite off-road/adventure video. Your dad is a natural CZcamsr btw. Definitely looking out for your next adventure.
Thanks for the kind words and I’ll let him know! He’s a natural because he’s a public speaker lol
Absolutely kickass adventure!! My cousin now lives in Puerto vallarta and I drove down there from Phoenix....beauty and farms for 1100 miles! Timmy C Arizona

I appreciate your choice of transition music, moving from supper to the climb.
Nice work!
Wow. Some amazing mountains and sights!

Wow dude! Truly beautiful, I’ve been talking my old man wheelin a lot recently, a trip like this to Mexico would be amazing.
Excellent video man, beautiful scenery.
Would be great to join on the next trip... One of the best video tag along I have ever been on. It reminds me of my trip to Los Barrilles, Mexico, where we rented ATV's and drove dirt roads through the mountains. We spoke to people living in the mountains far away from everyone.
Thanks for such a kind comment. It’s definitely such a beautiful place to visit with authentic people. Will keep y’all posted for the next one🤘🏼
WOW! Thank you David for sharing this awesome adventure! My wife's family is from Monterrey and I've only seen a few old photos of the rural area, so I really enjoyed the video and your story. Also, love that you film it in 4K. Beautiful imagery! More please :)

Cool man. Shout out from midland tx.
Awesome trip, and all the food looked amazing
What you are doing and experiencing you could do in the US in the 1950s. As a kid I would go 4wheeling with my grandfather in his Power wagon in East Tennessee and North Carolina. It was similar to your experience.
Awesome awesome awesome!!! Hope to join in on some of your adventure one of these days. Living epicly brother.
What an adventure!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👊🏼

What do you drive?
Bro your dad sounds so fluent in English for growing up in Mexico and you as well brother
Awesome adventure-great video
We run many of these same rural roads on our #mextrekadv mextrek motorcycle trips 4x per year. Its fabulous. And having done Monterrey to Galeana in one day in a 100 series land cruiser I can attest its fairly rough in a big rig, but you can make good time if motivated. Great people, incredible scenery, Mexico is awesome!
Great adventure! When are you going to do an episode on the gear you use for filming? What selfie stick are you using?
Thanks!! It was the DJI Pocket 2 on the DJI Pocket selfie stick👍🏼
@@OverlandNomad nice didn't know the DJI Pocket selfie stick could go invisible! Wish GoPro did something like that!

I'm too scared to drive from Laredo to Monterrey with my black Frontier. Feel like the road to Monterrey pretty dangerous for Americans.
Nuevo León State Government is working on the Monterrey-Colombia NL highway where the border customs office will be located, which is currently more used by carriers, and they are equipping it so that the people of Nuevo Leon do not need to cross to the neighboring state of Tamaulipas and we can cross through our own border and be safer.
la pregunta del millon... porque no fuiste tu por la tapa kulo? che vato!
