For solid colors, the overall depth of single stage is hard to beat. An old school trick to help with gloss and maximize uv protection is to mix your final coat 50/50 with a compatible clear coat. Mix each separately first, then combine them.

I know my step dad was full of shit when my uncle asked what did you have the regulator set on. The look my stepdad had said WTF is a regulator, i was so 😠. Hey I need advice, I'm going to be spraying a truck bed with rustoleum out of the gun, is there anything I should be worried about ? I have a huge fan and I have a booth filter ill be putting on it from my work, im just worried about fumes and if someone complains, ill be in a mechanic shop on the side of a decently busy road. Any advice would be appreciated. Do you think the filter would be enough for keeping the fumes low?

Hi, great video! sorry if this has already been asked. Can you tell me more about why at the end you suggest base coat & clear for colours. I am looking at painting my first car in single stage red mainly to keep cost down but unsure of the disadvantages in doing that. Any insight/guidance would be great. Thanks.

Single stage for solid colors is usually the way to go for being cheap and also more user friendly . Basecoat clear coat it's about 4-6 coats of paint total (alot for a begginer ) while single stage is only 2-3 coats total .
