- Let's Learn HOW To Film FIREWORKS!! In this video i wanted to go over some things to do and not to do when it comes to filming fireworks! some of these things you may know of and some you may not know of but thats the beauty of CZcams! I choose to use The Sony FX3 for this because of the camera being a LOW LIGHT BEAST!! I don't have a beast dslr ATM
I have a 1 inch sensor dslr which am still learning on
One thing u said to set the focus manually before the show starts
How to do that ?? Should I set it to infinity or what ??
Last thing, do I keep the exposure balanced at 0 in the camera or what?
Wish u showed us real settings etc...

Guess I’m gonna have to wait until January to try this on my FX3 lol. However, by then I should have my PM VNDs with diffusion, so I guess it’s worth the wait 🤷♂️
And your footage, by the way, looks incredible. Like… Adobe stock quality all the way 😂
@@phalanxfilmco Its the FX3 & Davinci Look lol, i assure you it wasn't looking that good in premiere haha! which is why your wedding footage looked so good!!
Lets double team those fireworks in January and find a solid spot to get them!
Thanks for the tips! Did you film the fireworks in SLog3 or S-Cinetone?
I believe it was slog-3 because I was at 12,800 iso!
@@TiberiousGreenewhat would the gain be suggested if shooting in S-Cinetone. Shooting tonight😅
I would air on the side of the highlights and colors and let the blacks fall, most likely you’re going to drop the lift in editing anyways, in cinetone I would bring the gain down a little bit! Use the first few fireworks to get the exposure then you’re off to the races
