    This is awesome. I've been waiting for a good solution to writing maths notes directly in my obsidian vault for a long time and this seems like a huge step in the right direction.

    brilliant! i love it! speaking only for myself, i’d want the created PNG to have the same name as my file and stay in the same folder-at least as an option: i use only one vault and give all image files the same name with the proper extension so all my content is together (tech writing screenshots often). but this is a great plugin! thank you 🙏

      Same name as which file? It currently has the same name as the ‘writing’ file and is in the same folder as that - which is located based on your obsidian attachment settings in “files and folders”

      @@DesignDebtClub i think i commented before watching the entire video. my apologies! but yes: if i’m creating a note and the file name is “how to set up your profile.md,” then if i add a screenshot, i want it to be “how to set up your profile.png.” it keeps them together, which is what i prefer (at least currently 😜”

      Amazing. That’s exactly how I think of it. This is one of the workflow steps I needed to solve to switch from OneNote

    Hey, great plugin. I already love it. Would be great to annotate pdf files in combination with this plugin in the future (as student important). Thought about a pdf to markdown converter and then add the handwriting notes in the .md files.

      @DesignDebtClub  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thank you! This plugin isn’t likely to ever include annotating odds as it’s focussed on handwriting within the note structure. However there’s another plugin called “handwritten notes” that specifically does pdfs that might work for you.

    I tried. It's great, but it can't keep up with the pace when I'm writing fast, so I can't use it on my tablet for regular handwriting (I wanted to journal with it)

    How long does it usually take to get accepted to Obsidian plugins? Looks great

      Last time it was about a week, but this is a much more complicated plugin

    I tried it - its good it works but its not usable at its current stage. Compare the writing with good notes and notability, it has to be as smooth as that so I can actually replace those apps with Obsidian.
    As it is - its a great plugin when I need to draw something in Obsidian in a pinch

    • @DesignDebtClub
      @DesignDebtClub  Před 23 dny

      Thanks. Would love to know what kind of device you’re on, and what kind of stylus. “Not usable” sounds like you’re having unusual performance issues that I’d like to learn more about.

    • @yandan9499
      @yandan9499 Před 23 dny

      @@DesignDebtClub it's not about performance issues. I am on ipad 11 pro 2018. It's just not comparable to apps like notability, good notes etc in the quality of writing. The thickness of the lines is too thick and it doesn't write as well as them. I should be able to adjust the thickness levels and the writing should be like writing on papee. My goals is to find an app to do all my notes on but there isn't really one that you can both do handwritten notes and the stuff you can do on obsidian - I say unusable for my use case. Recently notability deletes all my notes and it's been a nightmare. Your plugin is great but I don't know if it's feasible from a dev point of view to bake in the best features those apps have for a plugon in Obsidian.
