Pocket mode has been there since Redmi note 4 which is almost 6-7 year old phone.
I still use that mobile and it works flawlessly.
Now miui has so much bloatware and background processes that it looks slow and laggy.
Fun fact - 4g+ was available in Redmi note 3. When I use it I see 4g+ available showing but not in Redmi note 4 or later phones until unless they say it explicitly.
So companies give some features, then remove them later on - it can be software or hardware feature. And you wont notice it.
Like moto phones give hdr and then remove it a year later. Because hdr certification is expensive.
Pocket Mode was never removed from any MIUI version and Gallery Widget is also old
Even though most of the features shown are available in the previous versions, these highlighted features would only be available for flagship devices and they totally ignore the budget series. Hence ppl ditch memeui and go for custom roms🙂
@Almas Kalam Laskar brainwash. Every youtuber praises one ui even though it's shit in budget phones. The audience becomes biased and there you have it. Only thing miui is missing is gesture support for third party launcher but at least they don't compromise on performance and hardware part as compared to scamshung

so far it's a very good update for miui 14 although it wasn't rollout all devices yet it's a very good improvement over the miui 13 i can't wait to test it on my redmi note 10 pro (max) and redmi pad

although I have miui 11 Android 10 even I do this by game turbo I can open WhatsApp and to open yt I can click a link of yt in WhatsApp and yt opens as a window

1:26 I believe this uses ir based proximity sensor and many xiaomi devices don't have that like my k50i, which has motion based(ultrasonic or whatever) proximity sensor. I really hate this and sometimes the screen turns on during calls 😢

There was a time when creaters rush into making MIUI update videos to publish first after launch and now is a time xiaomi paing creaters to make videos about MIUI, thats expain itself that the downfall is started for MIUI unless they immprove drastically like samsung did by ditching touchwiz and making oneui gold.

Chinese Android custom roms are best in features....they have lots of good software features...which are useful...not sure why pppl r obsessed with stock rom where you need a third party app for every other feature...
Actually the system took about 23GB in MIUI 13 and now it is taking about 28GB in MiUi14. However it's better than Samsung's 89GB for system allocation on s23 ultra 512GB model
Bro the 89 gb allocation is because people haven't given permission to show app storage seaprate....you have to give permission to show app storage separate from system....u can see any video complaining about this problem has an i button in front of app storage which u need to click and give permission to show sepaarate and then u can see the one ui system is like 18gb
U shouldn't just believe everything anyone says.....use the device and give all permissions before trashing on the phone

What about UI stability? My experience with MiUI and RealMe UI has not been positive as of late.
it's very good so far although i didn't tested yet
realme ui is stable but you have to disable a lot of apps. overall it's good but they downgrade the performance after every update.
Miui 14 is working really well
Well the fresh rates have improved but as i tested some of my games they are now lagging when they did not in miui13. But im positive that they'll fix this is some future patches

Pocket mode was already there in the poco f1 series from the miui 11 onwards so it's not a new feature though introduced late on redmi devices

Pocket mode is old, as am using poco f1 MIUI 12 (12.0.3) and I am using it since last 2 years 🤣. Don't know if they have removed in MIUI 13. Looking forward more new updates. Even gallery widget is available in my poco f1 😅.

The update schedule is not solid. Redmi k50i was supposed to get an update in Q1 but reports have said it will get an update in early April

In MIUI 13, there is the feature to add app shortcuts to home screen. Now they removed in MIUI 14. Found it irritating though.

Any one remember the Auto feature in miui 7 which had scheduling options for tasks... toggling functions like Wifi Silent mode airplane mode battery saver brightness and volume controls ...just before we needed Miui 7 8 were smoother and snappy
vivo had pocket mode from android 9 in my vivo z1 pro, sucks to use redmi anyways with all improvements

Pocket mode already existed in MIUI 11, I still have that in my Xiaomi Mi 5, which is basically 7 years old phone.
Shortcut stack on lock screen when swipe right, also exist on MIUI 11, again on my Mi 5

Fun fact : MIUI has object eraser , people eraser , object eraser since android 11 😎😎but never marketed like OneUi , Pixel and others . Also it has heart rate sensor in mobile since android 11 (MIUI 12) but is hidden , to activate it everyone should install *Mi fit app, then mobile itself will tell heart rate with proper description without any external sensor , MIUI is best OS in a mobile . 😎😎

Actually you can use 6 apps in a screen. 2 apps in split screen, 2 apps floating window, calculator, and a picture in picture of CZcams.
