In this video I talk about Dream Stans (hold your applause). This video is a somewhat comprehensive guide of every Dream Stan happening. Sadly, there is no mention of Minecraft Manhunt vs 5 hunters but the video is still good. Tommy makes an appearance and makes this video 1000x funnier. Jschlatt also does some things (no Jcat though). Also, how could I forget about the Dream SMP where some of the drama occurs (maybe there will be Minecraft 1.17 drama). As a really big fan of the Dream SMP who also has a Twitter account where I talk about it (unsure if this makes me a stan, I don't call myself one but I have been called one by people who hate Dream) this video was actually really funny and also kinda informative. I appreciate the neutral stand instead of the "all Dream stans are hellspawns who send death threats and ship minors" narrative that a lot of those youtube people like to spread.

Every community/fanbase has its bad eggs, and larger communities obviously have more of them. This has happened before with many other communities for things that got really popular extremely fast, such as Undertale. While toxic/cringe fans are only a small fraction of its massive community, the majority of people who had already had to deal with the bad eggs just decided to pajnt them all with the same brush. The same sort of situation is present for Dream's fanbase.
It is sad that things get a negative stigma because of the actions of just a few rotten people. Even if you dont like Dream, you have to understand that the situation at its core isnt caused by him, sure he hasnt done enough to address the situation appropriately, but still, there will always be a fraction of every community that causes problems for itself.
A. It is caused by him, he loves chaos like a thoroughly unlikeable Loki, and B. Every Dream fan is between stupid and severely mentally ill.

Minecraft was actually starting to gain popularity again before Pewdiepie played it. I noticed it making a comeback as early as 2018, but he did boost that a lot
Yea, there were two major reasons why it seemed to fall in popularity, first was there was a lot of drama between content creators which kinda scared off new players, and second were the updates around that time, which aside from 1.13 weren't that great, this made a good number of players stop playing until the updates got good again. PewDiePie started his series after said good update came out, so better updates and a noticeable decrease in drama, brought back older players and attracted new players.

Defo, before PewDiePie played it there were so many comment of nostalgia from c418- Sweden and song parodies, like the captainsparkles quadrilogy
it was mostly cause of drama like a lot of pedo outings, like a lot, some youtubers like bajancanadian and skydoesminecraft leaving the scene due to issues, the main reason why it got big again was because redditors starting making Minecraft memes to celebrate its 10th anniversary, and because alot of people wanted karma but didint know anything about minecraft, got the game, and played it, then made more memes, then it just kinda exploded into overdrive when pewds played it.

I was SUPER UPSET when Ranboo said he wouldn't be playing Omori, genuinely. It's one of the best games of the year, and I highly recommend it to people that are fans of psychological horror games

I don't think Pewdiepie was the main reason for minecrafts resurgence. I remember seeing memes of it coming back some years before Pewds played. Also, Ph1iza had his 5 year hardcore world end and that also brought minecraft back into the internet light
yeah he may not be the main guy, but I still remember enjoying his first minecraft episode, and then seeing the memes about how bad he was in minecraft
yeah pewds may actually not be the main guy, but rather the one who did the highest contribution of making minecraft relevant again. from what i understand, other people tried bringing back the people's love to minecraft, but it didnt really convince people that much. but then when pewdiepie was unironically enjoying minecraft, a lot of people decided to play it again.
I remember a time when the only minecraft related content I watched in the late 2010s was RTGame's minecraft videos (that also got a lot of views), so I associate him a lot with the resurgence.
I remember because i was playing minecraft when it was “dead” i remember in my own interpretation in like early or late april of 2019 CallMeCarson started an SMP with his friends at the time called SMPlive where you had to be live to play on it because when you were live someone could donate to any streamer who played that day to go assasinate them it was a really fun concept and after a few days CallMeCarson got a lot of attention so he wanted more people to join the SMP he got popular faces on there like CaptainSparklez, Wilbur Soot and JunkyJanker or Nicolas Cantu known as the Voice actor for gumball and amidst this all some people wanted pewdiepie to play minecraft considering the hype was going wild thus he started playing it and later that year Keemstar started MC Tournament where a bunch of youtubers would compete to win a cash price of around 10.000 dollars which made technoblade popular cause he won almost every time

Its extremely obvious with Ranboo. The most recent example I can recall was when MCYT stans were trying to keep CallMeCarson from coming back, and one of them called out a lpt of DreamSMP people on twitter for merely just following Carson on there. Ranboo was the first to bend to their will. I dont have anything against him, in fact out of the DreamSMP members he is one of my favorites, but he really needs to know how to dig in his heels and say no to these people.
