    Well Doug, I'm glad you enjoyed your time with the Brute. I have had mine for over 10 years now and have loved every second of it. Great wrap-up. Thanks.

    my wife bought a 2017 kawy 750.i didnt think i would like it as much as my 800r outlander.after riding it on two trail rides i am thinking of trading in the can am. better ride,down low power ,and just an all around better handling machine.the onle thing i have a problem with is the racks.not enough tie downs.

    well I showed up at the dealership today with my check book and test road the brute force and grizzly around the track they had on sight at the dealer and I made the big purchase. The brute force came home with me and I never looked back at the grizzly. The grizz had great handling and brakes, soft seat, power steering was a little weaker feeling than the brute. The brutes power and all around feel sold it. Came home and road about 8miles on the new brute and I am very happy with the purchase. It sounds very good and I like the two compartments-netting by the handle bars. I thought it would sit to high but when you ride it that all goes away. That low end grunt is pretty awesome. grizz has to be moving to get some power out of it.

    Hey Doug. I use to have a 2009 Brute. Those have a hugh problem with exhaust heat on the left side. Is this issue fixed on these new models? thanks for the review.

    I am eye balling this machine for my next purchase. it seems lower to the ground which would help with stability? how does it compare to other machines

  • @sromrell
    @sromrell Před 7 lety +2

    I agree from a stability standpoint on steep, uneven, terrain that the Brute would benefit from a bit more length and (I think) width. I'm not sure how this would affect the nimbleness, that paired with the power create a special ride. Blessings Doug
    PS
    I've got the tracks on the Brute, waiting for snow to play in. I doubt stability will be an issue.

  • @dankruger2890

    After doing more research, do you think the handle bars are to low and seat to high. when I sat on the brute force at the dealer it felt weird. other people mentioned on you tube about it to. Maybe I am just used to Polaris and its no big deal. Yes I want throttle response, thats why I am considering a brute force. The grizzly feels better to me when I sit on it at the dealer, but I want power(TORQ) to make me smile. kinda like you was saying about hitting the throttle on the brute force. I dare you not to punch it.. Well, I want to punch it all the time and smile the whole time.

    Great review Doug. I am not surprised you liked it so much. It's a great machine.
    Polaris and Can Am seem to get all the press these days, but the Brute's power is every bit as exhilarating as the bigger engines offered by it's competitors, and you get better reliability with the Brute. I also think it's more proven, and has better designed systems for the most part.
    I would like to see them reintroduce a solid rear axle again though. Or maybe do a trailing arm design. I've just never been a big fan of A-arm rear ends.

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety +1

      IRS was certainly a consumer-driven idea on ATVs due to Polaris' introduction of the sportsman. I have always wondered why no one ever made a good long travel swing arm design. We added better (and longer) shocks to a Rubicon years ago and it worked very well.

    Doug is the difference between the newer Brutes with emission stuff pretty noticeable over the older ones? Are they just more responsive or whats the main thing you notice. I have a 2014 that does not have the emission stuff and was just wondering, thanks.

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety

      They seem a bit more responsive and sound better. Both pretty minor but noticeable.

    nice review I'm in the market for another sport/uttitly currently have a 07 outlander max and love it for the most part just wish it had power steering but I'm looking for another used bike trying to stay under 3k what would you recomend i much prefer automatic and selectable 4x4 is a must

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety +2

      Suzuki King Quad, Kawasaki Brute Force, Yamaha Grizzly in that order. As always, on a used machine it's more important to find a clean, well-maintained and not abused than it is a newer model.

      ATVTV trying to stay under $3,000 here is is what I'm finding grizzly 600& and sometimes 660 Kodiak 400 polaris 500 and some 700 can-am outlander 400 kawasaki prairie 360&650 the cheaper the better for me as this will back up vehicle and probably sold in the near future .I don't see can-am on your list what is the reason I've Owen two that was bought used and had good luck with except the factory clutch on the 800 but aftermarket one fixed that

    Hi, I would like to have your advices. You said that this machine is stable. I have the exact same and I find that stability is really bad at cruising speed if I compare to the 2016 Grizzly 700. Does your new tires added much more stability? Is there something I could do for a minimal cost to solve my probleme? Actually, I run stock tires and the best suspension setting I found was position 2 front and position 1 back.

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety +1

      The suspension setting is about right depending on the load and your weight. Stock tires are horrible! The proper tires will make a HUGE difference. Take a look at some of our tire reviews on our website. All our videos are all categorized there.

    • @alexandre8598
      @alexandre8598 Před 7 lety

      Your tire reviews are very good, thanks for your help. I would like to ask you a last question: What size of tire, wheels (and wheel off set) would you buy for this atv? Does the stock wheels with good 26'' tires would be ok or 14'' wheels are worth it?

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety +1

      I'd stick with the stock wheels as all the after-market wheels stick out too far and will sling mud all over you :-) I ran the stock wheels with 26" tires as the perfect setup.

    • @rzl07375
      @rzl07375 Před 7 lety

      I have found that on my 2014 once I added STI diamondback ATR tires on STI wheels the difference in handling was crazy. Way more stable and reduced body roll. The added offset on the wheels made it wider by about an inch on each side and like Doug said you will get more dirty. But for me it was worth the tradeoff having more stability and better handling. I love the tire and rim setup.

    Doug, How would you compare the power of the BF 750 vs that of the Polaris 850? I am looking for a machine that would pull logs, carts etc. Who has the best Warranty? Best bang for my buck?

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety +3

      The Polaris is faster but the BF is quicker - more instant response. The biggest thing though is that the Brute Force will prove far more reliable in the long run especially when pulling and towing. Not sure on factory warranties but even the dealer will/should tell you not to buy a Polaris without an extended warranty. My friend Kenny has just over 5000 miles (and pretty hard ones - see our snow rides!) with never an issue.

    • @toddedington9684
      @toddedington9684 Před 7 lety

      Thanks! Polaris wants to sell mean extended warranty at the tune of 1300. The kawasaki dealer said theirs was much cheaper and more comprehensive. Appreciate the info.

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety

      Personally I wouldn't even bother to buy the extended warranty on a Kawasaki.

  • @JohnnyRebKy
    @JohnnyRebKy Před 7 lety +3

    I enjoyed your review and observations. I ended up buying a Polaris Sportsman 570 because i couldn't afford the 10k price tag on the Kawasaki. It makes more racket than a Model T Ford with all its clunks, clanks, bangs, and pops ( which polaris says is normal and nature of the machine). Nothing has broke yet but its a far cry from the quality you get with Japanese machines. I wish Kawasaki and Honda would really get back into the game. They both need to offer a 500cc class machine that can match the engine power of the Polaris 570 ( which is a STRONG engine). Honda can make a 40 HP machine with a 5 speed foot shift and customers would be lined up out the door. Kawasaki could make a 550 Brute Force to compete with Sportsman 570 and have customers lined up out the door. Many guys....like me.....are buying Polaris because they either have NO 500cc class machines to offer....or.....we cant afford the 10k price tag on Japanese machines.

      @stephensmith745 Před 7 lety

      JohnnyRebKy As of right now you can buy a 2016 Brute Force 750 EPS for $7800 out the door. When I started looking for a Brute I was shocked at the prices I was given and just assumed that's what they cost. It wasn't until I searched the forums that I found out what a more reasonable price was. I live in Alabama and had my local dealer price match a dealer in Georgia and was able to get my 2016 Brute Force 750 EPS Special Edition for $7800 taxes and all.

      JohnnyRebKy honda makes 500. my 14 foreman cost me $8400 new. I'm thinking about trading my foreman in for a brute force. I was going to get a polaris. after talking to the salesman he said he's seen more polaris back in the shop. so I'm passing on polaris

    same has the old kvf 750 noisey belt/cvt high revs basic 4x4 system all the time basic suspension not comftable no real changes nice looking bike but had a new one for 2 months sold and went back to 16 grizzly 700,

    • @stephensmith745
      @stephensmith745 Před 7 lety +1

      grizzly mud slut On paper the Grizzly is better but the main attraction of the Brute is the engine. The Brutes suspension isn't that great as compared to the Grizzly and I also prefer the Grizzly 4wd system but that being said I've never gotten over that v-twin power and sound. What it boils down to is if you want a twin cylinder engine and you want Japanese reliability there is only one choice.

  • @dankruger2890
    @dankruger2890 Před 7 lety

    oh ya, and seat comfort compared to other machines. I like comfort for those 5 hour rides. I would like to get the most comfort and I know 3 hours into a ride the seat changes on you compared to when you first sit on it on the show room floor. Like my Yamaha works great at first and then it starts pulling my back compared to my older Polaris that is simply comfortable through the whole ride, but lacks refinement of modern machines. But maybe my older Polaris is just perfect and I need to just be happy with what I got, because nothing else will make me happier.

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety

      The stability is great but remember that these machines (as well as the King Quad and Grizzly) come stock with really cheap and flexible tires that adversely affect the handling and stability. A good set of tires will really make the machine. We remove the sway bar and run our tires at a low PSI for the best handling and ride. With that said, nothing will be a soft riding as a Polaris. Most of that is the seat foam which I've always thought could be an option...

    it's a pity that they don't produce an ATV between the 300 and the 750. 300 is too small and I have no need for a 750! How about a 550 which should have better gas mileage..

    • @ATVTVCOM
      @ATVTVCOM  Před 7 lety +1

      Sadly they used to make a 650 which I thought was one of their best engines, and I always hoped that one day they might make a 500! Unfortunately nowadays the money is in big (As in HUGE) UTVs and SxSs :-(

      I have a 650, its plenty peppy. Its also a shame Kawasaki doesn't make a 2up version of the 750. I think it would be a huge seller as I see many people want a 2up machine.
