"Stop over spending Matty" 😂😂 this is why I always do sandbox mode i dnt think ive got the patience to wait 😅 given ne loads of inspo though! I always feel really daunted when starting a park/zoo so hopefully ill just do bit by bit and fingers crossed i manage to get somewhere, time will tell 😅😂

Holy shit! I've done about 40 hours on this and about 35 of those were spent fighting paths and building alignment, I had no idea you could Radial Menu to align to a grid!! That and the Select the whole habitat with R3. I'm definitely watching this whole series to pick up more handy console tips like those! Nice enclosure too ;)

Please keep calling out all the shortcuts and quick buttons you’re using, they’re proving so valuable as Frontier haven’t done a great job of informing us of how to do all that! I’ve been binging and I’m up to watching free roam Peacocks right now! I can’t wait to see this evolve in to many many habitats!
Oh nice habitat for the wolves. Haven't had much time to play still working my way through career mode before I start building. Have to share our XBOX with our older two boys and my husband and I take turns on who gets it when they are sleeping. 😅

Entertaining video and, as a PC player, it was interesting seeing the differences on console! The video looks desaturated though, looks like there's a bit of a grey haze over it? Regardless, I'm excited to see what else you come up with in this game :)
Sorry about that, i dont actually own a PC so i do all of my recording, editing and uploading from the PS5 and sometimes it uploads like this, i dont understand why! some videos will be perfect 4k and look amazing and others have they haze, no rhyme or reason as to which and why it happens
Hey, love your videos, I just started playing and I’m getting a lot of inspiration from your building, I’m trying to make a similar curve with window, but I can’t get the path to connect, even tho I turned path joining off, did you had the same problem before?

According to Wikipedia "The greater flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus) is the most widespread and largest species of the flamingo family. Common in the Old World, they are found in Northern (coastal) and Sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian Subcontinent (south of the Himalayas), the Middle East, the Levant, the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea, and the Mediterranean countries of Southern Europe. " So the Japanese monkeys would never meet the Greater Flamingo naturally. One could even predict the monkeys would break the legs of Flamingos with a large stick, maybe even eat them "mmm...tastes like chicken breasts."
Sad fact about the Elephants and zoos. It's really hard to find a zoo in the US that have elephants in them. Brookfield Zoo used to have elephants, but no more. Too many trampled and crushed caregivers. Plus the endangered level is quite high and animal right groups are mostly against elephant enclosures as they do not do well in them. The flamingos on the other hand actually tend to live 20 years longer in captivity then living in the wild.
I am kinda new at the Planet Zoo, as I haven't played it yet. I did have the Zoo expansion during the Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 days. I'm wondering....do they have the Black Mamba snake? Kill Bill Part 2 really educated us on that one. "Even the most experienced tribesman will go the other way if they spot this snake." It's handle even means "Death Reincarnate". 3 bites and you're a dead man guaranteed. Even 1 bite you're chances for survival are not good.

What settings do I need to change to be able to rotate 90° with my bumper buttons mine only rotates it like 10°

You make this look so easy. I just can’t get the controls working. The pathing is very fiddly to work with its sucking all the fun out of this for me. 😮😂. I’m on Ps5 and trying to select align to grid off radial menu doesn’t seem to work the way you’re doing it. Is there a setting I’m missing to allow you to simply select something off radial menu by clicking stick on a selection or something as the symbol for x key is there but that’s so awkward while you’re holding triangle for the radial. I’m probably doing it wrong.
oh im so sorry to hear that amy, that cant be fun and i can see why that wouold suck the joy out of it for you. I hold triangle and use the left stick to select the grid - have you tried to use M&K? Ive heard a lot of people have swapped to M&K and they are finding it a lot easier
Thanks for your reply. It was me, I can indeed select things now just using hold triangle then left stick. I’m a bit confused maybe you can assist again? When you made facilities off grid on entry building how did you get the grid to extend as when I try to add like keeper hut or whatever that has a grid but it’s not coming off the one on entry? I want them to all line up.
@amyford2971 so select any building that is on a grid (eg the entry building) and then select edit building - then if u add any further pieces that are on a grid (eg wall pieces or facilities) they will line up.
Where I can see, which a the preferred temperature for my animals ?
it isnt on the zoopedia atm unfortuntely - hopefully this gets fixed soon!

Can someone please explain I just bought the deluxe edition I don’t know much about this game, but it looks phenomenal every comment I keep seeing something about a complexity meter. What is everyone talking about? Can I only build a certain amount in this game and stop because of limitations?
The complexity meter tracks how many objects, animals, staff, etc, you have in your zoo. On PC, folks are creating massive zoos that a PS5/XBox just couldn't handle, so the complexity meter is a warning when you're getting close to that limit. I believe when you hit the limit, it stops new animals from being born, so it kind of caps your progress. I've seen some huge builds already so I don't think the meter will be a problem for most players, but you definitely have to temper your expectations that the same sort of scope just won't be possible. Over the next few days, I'm sure people will put that limit to the test so we can see just how big our zoos can become, but I've only heard good things that the meter likely won't be a problem in most cases.

I can’t change the name of my animals. I played for 2 days straight starting up my zoo now I’m focusing on the animals I want just to figure out I can’t name them. Won’t play till patch now
Click the right stick in to rename your animals
@@IronMatty it won’t let me on franchise mode:( it will on sandbox though. So idk it might be a bug for me

The 3 first levels of career mode are the tutorial, if that would help you. But sandbox works too! Haha
Its basically the same as planet coaster console edition tbh, but as the other comments said, the campaign covers this really well

Yes of course! The only thing that won't be available (for people that purchase after today) is the 3 exclusive pre-order animals. But all DLC and the season pass will be available at launch.

I need help with the game. I played it for several hours today, built a normal sized zoo, open the zoo and suddenly, even only with like 200 guests, my game is not playable anymore because of the lags. Only when I have guests in my zoo, it‘s extremely laggy. I play on xbox series x, does anyone know how to fix this?😢
save the park, close the game and reopen, this seems to be an ongoing issue, frontier are aware and will fix this asap

I prefer playing Sandbox mode! More fun and no restrictions at all
i ended up swapping to sandbox for episode 4 onwards but that was purely for more stability, ive kept the same restrctions as franchise mode

@@IronMatty am just playing Franchise Mode! Have no idea what Animal to start with tbh! I thought I’d be cool on Sandbox, but I switched to Franchise mode! I did think about starting with the Lemurs, but I’ve been watching a few CZcams videos! Apparently Warhogs are really good to start your franchise with?
