- In this first battle report using the new Far East Handbook for Chain of Command, I pit the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps against the attacking Japanese on the 24th of December 1941 in the south of Hong Kong Island. Will the white collar workers hold the line?

“Dear Santa, we’ve been really decent chaps this year. Please send a decent Foo and mortar team please.”
It was broken...

Great stuff!! Fantastic to see just how different the rules tweaks in the FE book make the game feel. Looking forward to diving into it soon and look forward to more battle reports from you in that theatre!
Thank you! Yes, the FEHB is brilliant, it really lifts jungle warfare above the usual "Japanese +1 in hand to hand" approach that this theatre gets.
Very interesting Alex ! I will play this scenario. The Hong Kong Chrome was there. I was even sorrow for the british christmas !
Thank you!
The HKDV armoured car is very powerful. I guess it would be rare for both turrets to be able to engage the same target unless the vehicle moves to accomdate that. However, would the guns count as internal vehicle MGs on 6dice rather than top mounted on 10dice each. I've previously taken the top mounted to be the, less restricted, AA type weapons.
Vehicle MMGs should be 6+2 firepower. I thought only a HMG reduced cover by 1?
Normally, it would be 6+2, but as the guns are in separate turrets, I'd say 6 each. But as mmg, no cover reduction, and as 2 turrets it's 2 CI for the jl to activate them, so no movement as well, unless you use a 1 as well
Great game enjoyed it keep up the good work brilliant job🤠🤠
Thank you!
Great game. I really enjoyed watching:). I'm glad I can stop my search for suitable 15mm Lewis gunners :)
Cheers Aled, lol, they are probably out there somewhere. So keep searching...
Would Eureka's early war american marines work? They have brodies and lewis guns. I'm sure others must exist.
@gwynplaine4198 it depends how exact you want to be, the HKDVC wore summer uniforms, ie, shorts, with puttees whilst the Eureka USMC have long trousers and gaiters.
Shouldn't have several jump off points been removed as a result of the triple 6 ending the turn?
Nm I remember that the third 6 was the red die.
