How to reset a Chevy Equinox auto stop that stopped working.

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS WITH VEHICLE RUNNING OR IGNITION TURNED ON.
After a year or so of owning my SUV, the auto stop feature seemed to have stopped working. With the price of gas nowadays, I was determined to find a way to get my auto stop feature working again. I couldn’t find anything about resetting the auto stop feature on my Chevy Equinox; only how to disable it.
Auto Stop is when the vehicle shuts down the engine when the vehicle is stopped and the right conditions are met for the auto stop feature to engage. Understanding that conditions like coolant temperature needs to be at a certain limit and the AC cannot be on for the auto stop feature to work, I was curious to see if I could get it going again. Battery went dead after not using car while in Florida. Came back and charged it. Then Auto stop did not work. Followed your procedure and then it worked. Thanks

I have no explanation why this would work ... but it did ! !
2018 Equinox. Hopefully fix will continue.
I also wiped done the fuse plug in's as they were slightly discolored. I would have used alcohol if I had it handy.

Worked perfect for mine! Mine was only working when low fuel lite would come on. I did this now it works all the time. What led you to these two fuses?

my battery is 2.5 years old. I might try a full power down, but concerned something else may get messed up.
