    98 / 99 / 01 as a Parra fan is like heartache on steroids.

I was there. 😥 Not a big lead at halftime but couldn't go on with it.

Looking at the game if it would have happened today, Kearney gets sin binned for that hit on Jason Smith. People talk about Paul Carige having a shocker in the preliminary final a year earlier but what about Dennis Moran?, over ran a pass from Hindmarsh which could have lead to something, dropped the ball right near the try line. That second Melbourne try would not have been given either, the bunker would have found a way to over turn it. For me he knocks it on in an attempt to scoop it out to the winger. Jason Smith also bombed a try in that second half, had Kelly and Burt unmarked on the left.

Since '86, Eels were close to a premiership during Brian Smith era and Jarryd Hayne era.

@@anthony99900 Yeah it’s depressing. At the moment, Arthur has led the Eels to Week 2 of the finals 4 times in the last 5 years but they end up losing. The next 2-3 years is their premiership window.

@@anthony99900 IMO, as long as Gutho, Dylan Brown and Moses stay, they are always a chance. Mahoney is going to be a big loss moving forward. I thought Moses was fantastic against Knights but wasn’t able to step up in the key moments against Panthers. I still want to see more from Dylan Brown, he does have the talent.
