    Strange that the video would be ended without finding out how it was laying in various positions and how firm it was. Great unboxing video though.

      I've had mine for two years, now, and simply love it. I've had to wash the cover 4 times due to medical issues, and had bad stains come out of it nicely.
      I'm a hot sleeper, and it sleeps cool. I've had less problems with heat than my previous Serta double-sided pillowtop mattress.
      My now ex-wife took our first bed, a a KING, with her, and I replaced it with a Queen version of the same mattress. She's a fibromyalgia sufferer, and slept much better than she had in ten years.
      I call it a medium, to medium-firm. It's very supportive, even for a big man like me. I'd recommend it to anyone, especially considering that earlier this year, I was essentially confined to bed for just over a month. I never felt exhausted from the bed at all. I always wake up feeling rested and without pain, and I spent 25 years of my life driving a commercial truck. That takes a toll on the ol' bod!

    I've bought two of these mattresses through Sam's Club, a King and a Queen. The first one went out of the house when my wife took her leave, and I bought another one since liked it so much.
    I tend to be a hot sleeper, and I sleep comfortably on this mattress. I roll into my favorite sleeping position and lights out. I don't wake up feeling like the old fart I am, anymore, which is nice.

      @rkgsd Před 5 lety

      Is yours the 10" or 12"? How would you rate the firmness?

    • @jimmellenberger8505
      @jimmellenberger8505 Před 5 lety +7

      @@rkgsd these are 12" mattresses from Sam's Club. They initially feel quite firm, in a completely different way from an innerspring mattress. It adapts to support you. I'm a big man, and everything molds to support me however I sleep.
      My last mattress was a firm Serta Double Pillowtop Queen, and was quite comfortable to me, but didn't conform nearly as well.
      Also, my wife suffered from fibromyalgia, and couldn't take the Pillowtop after a while. After we got this mattress, she was finally able to sleep well at night.
      It's hard to describe, but it's almost like sleeping in a firm cloud. It's a 3 layer mattress, with a base foam, breathable layer, and a gel foam on top.
      It sleeps better than the Tempurpedic I tried, those felt like padded brick. I've never felt like I was gonna go off the edge, either. You do sink a bit sitting at the edge, but it isn't bad.
      I didn't need to buy a new frame, I just bought 10" 1x4s, cut them in half, and made a slat platform. The frame must have center support, though, or it will bow in the middle. I placed risers under all of the rollers, though, since I wanted my bed up higher, as I didn't want to buy a foundation/box springs.
      The weight of a queen mattress is 57 pounds. It has a removable, washable cover, and because of a foot wound that seeped blood and serum onto the cover, I recently took the cover, treated the stains with a pretreatment, then ran it through an extended cold wash cycle. It came out looking like it was brand new.

      @@jimmellenberger8505 Thanks so much for the detailed information. Sam's currently has the 12" version on sale. The 10" is only 2 layers with an 8" base and 2" memory foam (no air channel foam layer) and is probably too firm. Wishing you continued enjoyment of yours.

    • @jimmellenberger8505
      @jimmellenberger8505 Před 5 lety +3

      @@rkgsd that would make sense, I think one of the layers on the 12" is roughly 2" thick. They usually have a demonstrator block showing the construction of the mattress in-store near the beds.
      One thing to watch for is you will need deep-pocket sheets. Standard Queen sheets will slip off quite easily. I personally use Queen T-shirt sheets, they're comfortable without being hot like flannel, they stay on the mattress without a lot of effort, especially if you roll a bit. Microfiber sheets are also comfortable, but without deep pockets, the fitted sheet will pop off easily.
      The boxes they come in have wheels and grab handles. I toted mine home in the back seat of my 08 Taurus sedan, slid it out, and rolled it inside. Slept on it 4 hours after I opened it up. It puffs quickly. I would definitely want to grab it on sale, again. I find you sleep better saving that money. 😉

      Hey that’s my bday lol I bought one 2 years ago and I love it very comfortable I highly recommend it every year I switch the mattress to the opposite side for even wear since I’m the only one that sleeps in the bed. The only thing that I can complain about is the fact that they advertise that it will keep you cool for me it doesn’t but I also have very high body heat so could be just me
