The eq pedals add just a little more push in the frequencies I like and can adjust for. They’re both set pretty flat with a touch of boost for the highs and lows.
The Tube Screamer adds a bit of boost as well but I try to use the amps’ for as much of the gain as possible, mainly to dial back a bit of the hiss and hum that comes from the amps’ pre-amps when maximizing gain.

Fascinating - so am I understanding correctly that there are two boosts going on? The tube screamer and the EQ boost?
