Cutie raccoon is missing babies 😢 ???

- I'm very worried for my favorite young mother raccoon. She has 5 beautiful babies, but I'm only seeing 2. I spend lots of time with her waiting for the others but they never arrive. Perhaps they are still sleeping in the tree hollow. Many other momma raccoons appeared with their babies. It's hot and humid, and some raccoons are acting funny. Cutie Monster, despite missing some babies, is acting playful with her other 2. She chases them and grabs them, and smiles. I'm so lucky to be close to her during these private moments.

Maybe the babies are sleeping. When Cutie came back to you and passed up the cookie she was purring, around the 18:25 time stamp.
The other babies are probably in the den asleep. I would not worry, Cutie obviously isn't.

Cutie monster is acting strange. She seems cautious and irritated. Like she's missing something...like her babies!! I've walked in the park plenty of times and never got to see that many raccoons. Poor cutie monster she looks weary. 😞. She looks like she might need more cookies. Lol. If you listen to the videos the birds and the crows are really going crazy too. Maybe it's something in the air. They know it's 4th of July and fireworks are coming. They are going in to protective mode. And that there ...proves they are intelligent. Keep me updated on Cutie pies babies. You are a good daddy for these raccoons. Happy 4th of July, and independence day to you and your family. ... the Independance Day Fireworks have everyone on edge; for a Raccoon, the NOISE must be like World War 3 to them, like bomb blasts going off. Yeah, poor Cutie seemed 'off' today, nervous or hyper - something was agitating her for sure, but she calmed a bit at the end there. Where are your babies, Mama?

I hate the babies are gone. Maybe the fireworks scared them off. My neighbors set them off on Wednesday night too. Hope they come back.
Have you tried a vest with pockets? Full of cookies 🍪 and letting cutie monster climb up or down from the log your leaning against to grab them from your vest pocket. 🤔😂

@OONSDAY well that's because I know from experience that it works. Because it's bringing them to you with treats on their own terms. You just happen to be a movable tree 🌳 branch and as you know they are perfectly suited to balancing on anything. 😹😹

Hmm... probably reading too much into it, but... poor Cutie seemed 'off' or nervous today, taking the cookies very quickly to eat them; then when she sat before doing that funny gallop; I think something bit her, ouch, poor baby girl! Now they're all just exhausted; might need more water, poor things... OMG, Cutie and that little baby, she's such a good Mama. Hopefully they're just sleeping somewhere; oh god I hope they didn't wander near the road...! Augh, I can't think about it...! Where ae they?!
