Getting a raccoon to crawl on me

- I just love wild raccoons and their little babies. I wish they would crawl all over me. A raccoon named Cutie Monster will reach in my pockets and stand on me looking for cookies. I try and get her to climb up my legs. I sit on a log and hold the cookies high so she stands on my lap. I just love it! Perhaps I need to wear a vest with many pockets full of yummies so her babies climb all over me.
Today, one of her babies arrived before the others and came straight to me. The baby and I spent quality time together. It gives me the sweetest looks as I feed it peanuts.

When climbing down a tree, Raccoons have the ability to reverse their back legs in order to grip better.

... also, wear THICK clothing if you want them to climb on you; their claws are SHARP and will go through thin clothing! Cutie is such a darling, and those babies look so soft!
Yes, those claws are very sharp. They are so amazing on how gentle they are with me however.
Watching that little baby crawl in the hole is so adorable. I like the way you holler for Cutie monster too. She knows where her bread is buttered. . Or cookies. Next time you should just let your wife win. You will win in the end. 😎. I'm starting to think cutie Monster is an addict. She will do anything for the love of cookies. Not a bad idea of getting a suit or vest with some pockets all around and putting food in it. Lol. I would love to see what you come up with. Thanks for sharing this video. I always give my raccoons coins, they love the smoothness of them. They also usually have a "stash" spot where you'll usually find your missing keys. LOL

Yvw! My raccoon's favorite thing to keep stealing was a pink metal exacto knife. He stole it and hid it so many times! They learn so quickly where their favorite things are and how to get the cabinets open - even with child latches on them! Happy Day, Mr Oons! BIG HUGS ❤❤❤

My ones like to crawl on me too. I did teach them to even jump on me, like when they are on table or bed they jump when I tell them. They can learn lot of stuff fast if it is fun for them.

@@OONSDAYyeah they definitely know how 🤔 to have fun. The first winter I had mine we had lots of snow ❄️ and it decided to keep jumping on the end of my shovel. I would toss it into the snowbank and it would run back and do it again and again. Till I picked it up and set it on the hood of my car 🚗 and began to scold it. Till it reached out it's arms as if to say sorry 😞 please pick me up. At which point I almost couldn't stop 😂😂😂😂then for the rest of the time I was shoveling I had a living raccoon scarf around my neck and head 😂

Oh that little baby so friendly, must be a mini Cutie. Love that they brought you a present, they're probably dismantling a car for you somewhere 😅 Our magpies have that reputation for stealing shiny things, didn't know oons did too.

I got to meet one of my favorite raccoons babies for the first time on July 5th
My sweet little Tinkerbell who is pretty blind brought her 3 babies in to meet me. They were the tiniest babies and so gorgeous! They loved the scrambled eggs I have been making for Tinkerbell for the last couple of months that she had been nursing.
I squatted down and was very quiet and I got to film them eating with mommy 🫠💖
It is always the greatest gift when the mommies bring the babies in to forage what they think grows in the woods like scrambled eggs😂

I have pools for them and toys. And they keep steeling the toys 😂

Daddy Oon how do you stay so kind and sweet when you're surrounded by mean people?! So many people are mean and getting "meaner" by the day. I don't get it🤷♀️ I don't recognize this country anymore, or the world for that matter.

The world is what we make it. Perception is reality. But, I know what you mean. I truly believe less is more. I believe if you have the curiosity of a child with the natural world you enter the kingdom of heaven.

Why you don't give them hot dogs
Probably because they can be mega expensive!
Very, very occasionally. They are high in nitrates which is bad for their urinary tract.
Mines do not like hotdogs.
