  • Time to explore Oahu’s beaches! Here are our 10 favorite beaches from Lanikai Beach to the Ko Olina Lagoons to Waikiki Beach. Plus, one bonus beach cove where they film movies.
    Erica, Henry, and I will take you on a drive around #Oahu to show you our favorite beaches. To make our list these beaches needed to have white or golden sand, safe surf breaks most of the year, and beautiful scenery. The water is always crystal clear so that was a no-brainer.
    How do you fit these beaches into your Oahu, #Hawaii itinerary? Check out our Oahu itineraries for ways to save, tips from locals, when to make reservations, where to stay, and a step-by-step pre-travel testing video: thehawaiivacat...

    Spent a month on the windward side last year. Waimanalo is probably my favorite beach in the world after that trip, and we visited so many other wonderful beaches including most of the ones on this list! One that we loved that isn't mentioned here is Keawaula Beach! It's at the end of the road driving north on the leeward coast. It's off the beaten path and a lot quieter than most beaches and the mountain scenery was so beautiful and impossibly green! The beach itself was great (though no shade, a good idea to bring your own) and there were HUGE waves to play in, big enough to be exciting, but not so big that it was really dangerous. Also stopped at Makaha Beach Park on the way home, it was a great place to watch surfers and some very fancy boogy boarders.

    We love your videos. Being from New Zealand, we can't travel to Hawaii due to covid. Your videos help so much with our 'Hawaiian hangover." I don't know if that's a term used over there but over here we use it to describe that sad feeling of having to go back to reality after a hawaiian vacation...Where the only real cure of a Hawaiian hangover is to go back.

    Love your videos & appreciate the drone views... loved the very last beach... been to half the beaches... one memory is at Makapu'u with my dad & husband. My brave father in those Makapu'u waves with me! He went to Oahu 3 x's a year. My love of Hawaii started when I was 4. Now at almost 70... I can't travel. So sure enjoy you making this! It would be great to have a 30 minutes relax video with the last beach,, water, rocks, waves, sand and sky. That would be perfect! Bless your family and stay well! Aloha! • @yosemitelovestories580

    Thank you for sharing so many videos!! Do you recommend a good beach for teens to boogie board in Oahu? Like 3 foot-4foot waves in July? Sandy bottom and preferably condos nearby. And not overly populated. I know it’s a tall order :)

  • @TheAdrianaPolari
    @TheAdrianaPolari Před 2 lety +1

    What I don't like about majority of the best Hawaiian beaches is that Americans built so tall hotels too near the beach. IMO, it takes a little the beauty of the beach. I prefer beaches with the surroundings preserved. They did that in Cancun too. Imagine how was Cancun in the 70s, before all those huge hotels. Nowadays it looks like a shopping mall with a beach in front.

    Can’t wait for our trip in April! But I have a question. How do you handle all the negativity from people who have morbid things to say about traveling? I know of all the travel guidelines and regulations. But people just get so upset ☹️ What’s your advice for dealing with the negativity?

    • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide

      We just make sure we’re educated on the rules for where we are going. For example, we know Hawaii’s mask rules and make sure to follow them always.

    We ended up getting an earlier flight, and got back at about 1230 EST, 0730 there, today. We loved the Waikiki Beach, Ala Moana, but for the videos, pictures, and turtles, we just loved Laniakea. The waves got me a few times, while not paying attention. The sweet volunteers that help protect the turtles at Laniakea tried to let us know they were coming in, but we didn't hear them. LOL I got soaked. We went to two others, but I forget their names. when I look at the pictures and videos, I will pull the GPS details. Sorry I missed you all.

All of the streets had no parking signs due to constructions. We tried Waimanalo and luckily as soon as we drove in the lot, someone was pulling out...
