This was the very reason why I waited for BBM to run as a VP. I was watching this impeachment trial live in the church parsonage and when he began his speech, I had nothing but awe because only then I realized he is very brilliant. One of the 3 senators who voted against CJ Corona's impeachment because there was no evidence found. So in 2015 when he decided to run, I prayed for his victory. PRRD as my President and BBM as my VP. The next day after the 2016 election ballot counting, I was really sobbing. Literally humagulgol ako while speaking to my husband in Skype (he was based in Saudi then) walang biro, talagang humagulgol ako dahil di ko matanggap yung resulta. That is also the very reason why I despise Leni. But maybe, BBM wasn't really destined to be the VP, because he is destined to be the president. I am very excited about what he can do for our nation. Like PRRD, I see him as someone na may tunay na pagmamahal sa bayan. Tahimik lang nagtatrabaho yan, walang media pero kumikilos pag may mga kalamidad sa Pinas.
Wag lang makialam na naman si Uncle Sam, si uncle Sam na walang ibang hangad kundi pabagsakin ang Pilipinas at panatalihin itong mahirap.

In one of Noynoy's public encounters, he said in his speech that he feels sorry for the delayed justice for SAF44 and even inferred that a justice delayed is justice denied.. I just wonder why he cant speed the case up where in fact he made it so fast to compel the quorum of Senate to convict the High Judge just for not stating his total asset... He and De Lima without warrant coerced PGMA not to fly abroad to seek medical treatment... PNOY had shown to public how he can influence the justice system... why not in SAF44? why it seems he shows too much distant influence to justice system...? does he really intend to delay it since he knows he is accountable for it? making him more qualified to be impeached?
It was obviously the first in the list of Binoy's project during his early days as President. It was PERSONAL - a way stronger and bigger than imposing justice, political, fight against corruption, etc. He aimed with full intention and will for Arroyo and Corona to be humiliated and put to trial. Aquino stopped the Agrarian Reform for a reason that it didn't do service to the interest of the poor Filipinos. Well, in reality, they did it to protect their interest on Hacienda Luisita. During Arroyo's reign, she revitalized the Agrarian Reform that forced the Aquino family to pay billions of Peso to families they enslaved for decades - a huge but just a mere fraction of the land's total sales value. Corona was appointed as Supreme Court Chief Justice to ensure he will render decision without fear and bias. Agrarian reform was put back to life and the Supreme Court uphold its decision and mandate for Aquino family to pay the families of Hacienda Luisita. Binoy felt it as bitter pill to swallow and made Arroyo and Corona paid the price. On the other hand, Filipinos were made to believe through publicities and media that it was for Binoy's anti graft and corruption campaign that he started big time by serving justice against the former President and the Chief Justice to set a tone that nobody's exempted. But the truth remains that Binoy did it out of total anger and greed.

CJ Corona is one of the judges that persecuted BBM and his family in a civil case but he bear no hatred and still defended him. That shows his honesty and fairness.
Santiago and Arroyo were defectors and enemies of his father but was still willing to work with them.

This is one of the BEST proofs of PBBM’s thought process and framework as a leader when it comes to making actual judgement - logical, fair and decisive.
I remember how the child in me was struck in awe and admiration, as I watch on TV how the SON of THE Reputable Ferdinand E. Marcos give his verdict and deliver his speech. (It was during this time when we also “coincidentally” had oratorical speech for class, with the literary piece “This Nation Can Be Great Again.” The piece was really a beautiful classic and knowing that Marcos himself wrote this, I was truly amazed as an aspiring orator (back then). Plus I hear stories from my elders of how great Marcos was, especially when he deliver his speech.
So yes, the child in me was so confused and admittedly ecstatic to see actually see his Son in the Senate and deliver a speech, in a manner so very reminiscent of his father. But beyond this, the eleven-year-old me posed a more curious question: Why is the Son of THE known “dictator” president has a seat in the Senate?
And mores so, why did HE “acquit” Corona? (He was so evil to my mind back then). But at the back of my mind, I was wondering why THE legendary Miriam Santiago also acquitted Corona? “Well, who cares? The important thing was, he was convicted” was my line of thought. I just shrugged off any lingering question about their curious decision.
And guess what? It now turned out that Miriam Santiago, Joker Arroyo and Bongbong Marcos were right all along. Miriam choosing BBM as her running mate for 2016 elections also made full, logical sense.
Yes, many years later, it’s been proven how then-Senator BBM’s verdict for this trial aged beautifully, like a fine wine.
The other senators who voted guilty should never, ever, be seated in any gov seat ever again. I despise all of you ignorants! Bless the 3 senators who are full of wisdom and did everything according to their just belief and according to their conscience.

Watching this in ABS-CBN CZcams channel I just remembered an article on Abs-cbn website where PNoy vowed to do everything he can to not let BBM win, this article was written in 2016. After BBM lost the election, I searched for that article again but ABS-CBN already deleted it.
