i agree too. The red eyes dont give that sense of "staring into your soul" like the white dots give. The white dots are also practical too because they are just camera's in the iris. The animatronics always have a white light in their eyes but one they move into the shadows you just see the light. Blumhouse definitely could have done the white eyes. Even though the white eyes probably wouldnt of worked since the sets looked brighter and would illuminate the eyes at all times, why didnt they just keep the same atmoshpere and darkness in the first place? In the game, the animatronics were in the dark, rienforcing the fact that the player did not know their intentions. They stared with blank faces, which is unnerving and uncanny. They could have made the pupils red instead of the entire eye also. The movie eye just looks like a cheap plastic jack-o-lantern from the dollar store with a light stuck inside it. I feel like its just poor execution and, based on the scenes that we have seen, blumhouse failed to see that underlying ambience and asthetic of the animatronics/environment.
Plus the eyebrows are worse in my opinion since they show the viewer that the animatronics are angry, instead of disguising their real intensions and making them give off a sense of unease.

I respect your opinion but Personally I disagree mainly due to the fact that these are actual suits and it look quite choppy if they cgi’d the golden Freddy eyes over it. And it delay the movie even more. This movie we have been waiting since April of 2015 and I would rather have it come out with corny red eyes then wait even longer for bad cgi eyes. Doxx me if you must but my opinion stays the same
That's totally fair. Since I've made the video many other fans have also mentioned that in the silver eyes and help wanted the red illuminated eyes are canon when the animatronics are either under Williams control or in attack mode. It would also make sense for the animatronics to be under Williams control in those scenes we saw in the teaser because they're going after Abby. I'm pretty sure in the games it's mentioned that when the spirits are in control the animatronics are friendly towards the kids but attack adults. Realistically we could have both in the movie. We'll just have to wait and see.

I agree. The red eyes look like "bad robot is bad eat your soul." The white eyes give a look of "innocence," like a porcelain doll moving on its own- where the innocence factor makes it a lot more terrifying. The dead white pupils provide that same ambience.
