II is a machine. Low key out of his fvcking mind. The drumming is so good, always, every single track. But this one is exquisite, you're right. Jaws is also a masterclass in drum writing. 🤌🏻

So vessel has only sworn in two songs, and the other song is Nazareth. And Nazareth is probably the only other song that has righteous fury from him. A lot of his anger is already resolved or resigned, and so for Gods to be spurned and vicious is such a change up, and it's just perfection.
I can't wait for y'all to listen to the EPs, because those are just perfection and display of Vessel really becoming the vessel we know today.

Vessel has put an f-bomb in two tracks, Nazareth and Gods. I saw a video of The Offering from their recent tour here in the States, he screams "take a biiiite. yeah, take a. fvcking. biiiiiite" in the outro of the song. We didn't get any cursing at the Detroit show, but we got Ascensionism live, so I could die today and I'd be at peace with it. AND YOU'RE SO RIGHT ABOUT THE POTATOES, ERIC, I MADE MINI MEATLOAVES AND MASHED POTATOES FOR DINNER LAST NIGHT, and when I say I scrape that pot clean of potatoes EVERY time and damn near deep throat that wooden spoon 🥄 man. Mashed potatoes with chives, or bacon and cheese. Or garlic. A lil butter, sour cream, splash of milk. FRICK. I so look forward to the rest of your Sleep Token journey. Can't wait for Blood Sport obviously, but I think I'm most looking forward to Atlantic. I hope (in the nicest way possible) it's like a gut punch to you guys, and maybe we get a tear or two 😢🥲😂 as always, thank you for the fantastic reaction! ✨️

That's my favorite Sleep Token song.
Im glad you picked up the on swear, I really think every “sound style” they use is really reflective of the content and emotion they are trying to convey. This song Vessel is angry and I think it represents some type of fighting or argument. I think the overall lyrics show that Vessel is not just someone who possesses great grief and sadness, but also someone who holds great Fury and anger. The more I read the lyrics the more I feel like Vessel is also being very vulnerable and honest about himself more so than playing just a “victim” of someone who was hurt.

Loving this journey!! I always hear this song as being from Sleep's perspective. Like the other Gods in heaven turned their back on her and kicked her out, and it really pissed her off. But she's always "got people I can call on, it's all so easy for me", and so she goes and gets Vessel to help her on her journey back to Eden and redemption (TMBTE, Ascensionism, Aparition, etc...). There's also some lyrics in "Drag Me Under" that kinda elude to this, but you'll get there ;)

Just read the other previous comments and glad I was correct about which other song drops the f bomb. Nazareth's lyrics are quite disturbing, but shows Vessel's fury and rage and may be metaphorical. Who really knows except him.

Ughh im loving watching you guys go through this journey. Its almost letting me retrace my journey with them. I cant wait for you to be done so you can go back and listen from the first song to the last in order because what you havent picked up on from what ive seen is that the 3 albums are a trilogy. It seems to be that they are the journey of love... wether it be loving Sleep, Ones self, or A Lover... This place is like the beginning of falling in love... Sundowning is the pure ive fallin in love and its both amazing and scary middle part... Take me back to eden is the ending the loss of love and finding ones self after heartbreak where the 12 dieties (songs) of sleep showing their path to your ability to let go. Also if you guys look at the members posts online there is always a hint at Everything comes to an end and if you look at the diety for Euclid its Vessel with a new mask grasping onto the head of Old Vessel symbolizing the let go of his old self maybe even the end of what sleep token itself once was and maybe will be.

I feel like the “I bleed so well, it’s all so easy for me” like lyrically/ artistically how he can channel his pain and experience through his music. He’s clearly experienced A LOT, and he obviously FEELS a lot. Just my take
They are so so good at referencing back to their other songs. I think it’s because they have a main focus. Sleep being a main focus, there is only one cycle they keep living in. Worship.
