Finally back with a brand new Touristenfahrten (Public driving) video from the Nurburgring Nordschleife, this time with some insane drivers and crazy moments! This weekend the weather was very nice which meant there were a lot of drivers on the track. Unfortunately due to quite a few crashes on Sunday, the driving time was limited however I still managed to capture some really good action on video. 3:08 renault driver has a great reaction and clear mind on track, most of driver will just simply floor the medal to the metal rather than braking it :)
Disagree. Braking is the obvious reaction here. More impressive would be a situation the driver determined braking would result in a crash and accelerates.
@@beng3345 actually more impressive would be if a driver determined that hitting a coincidental ramp & doing a 360 barrel roll over a burning GTR & then drifting underneath a moving semi was the best way to clear the crash

A fast computer, nice FFB wheel and VR is as close as I will ever come to driving Nurburgring. One thing I noticed is the track pulls you in to going faster and pushing yourself. Even driving with caution, I STILL push it and smack and barrier.

As you are talking of crashing, this has to be the first video in years not to feature such a thing. What has happened to the great videos of old, featuring Renault Megane’s and BMW 3 series ending up on their roofs after multiple roll overs. There isn’t even a light brush with a guard rail in this one.

That is a deceptively sharp turn, off camber, and cresting a hill. Can see how the cars become unweighted, spinning inside tires, going from understeer to sudden oversteer.

The sound of the E 92 M3 with a screaming V-8 is one of the best ever, Too bad those engines had rod bearing issues however I think there was a kit you could install to fix that. Also if you got one I hope you got the six speed and not the paddle shifter

A couple times I've had to have some of the skill I flattered myself with. Never stuffed it but came close. Respect for the people who plant their asses on a track with their own cars and get near the edge.

That old white BMW plate XO-964 should be told off for endangering others (if not banned from the track). He can wait; or book a trackday if he wants to drive that fast without taking others into account. This is Touristenfarten and he must drive safely, including how he passes others. This is the bases of respecting each-other on a public road. It is NOT a race and it is likely that he'll end-up hitting another car. Want to race; race, but not on a public road = Nordshleife Touristenfarten.
Nowadays, 70-80%, something even more, are race driver wannabees, trying to win Touristenfahrten, talking about "traffic", "BTG times", recording themselves and pushing for the lowest possible time, etc. Driving all kinds of jalopies on semi slicks.

For what? Did nothing wrong, overtaking in a corner is, lets say, not ideal, but was done in places where the other drivers clearly submitted to be overtaken. That guy is not a first time tourist, you can see him following/playing with the E46 with precision. Stop being a snowflake.
@@aertasv7116 I am party to quiet a few professional racing circles and even know some drivers who have been banned from the track during the open days at nring. I'd imagine they are capable of similar driving it doesn't mean they have driven it before

At least he stayed nicely on the track, which cannot be said from many drivers. There's a Ferrari in this same vid that cannot keep on the track and it's not going much faster. Even more impressive that it's a Mustang. I haven't heard much good about the cornering abilities of Mustangs or their drivers, but that's just hearsay and I don't really know.
