I got it too, the tuning always destroyed itself from time to time and I had to tune it all over again but over time the tuning got way better and it was more pleasing to hear and I didn't have to keep on tuning it any longer, I think the ukulele just needs some more time to adjust a bit

My uku is the second one in pink... I’m a complete beginner and it took me 30 minutes to tune it the first time... I had to retune it every 10secs for the first day..and multiple times throughout the week... and 1 month now... it stays in tune 😁

It's tone sounds like cardboard but other than that it's fine
For me, I highly recommend Enya, it is actually rlly good for beginners and it progressed me very fast, the one I got was half electric, half acoustic, and it's incredible. The one I bought was not the best for beginners, but they get cheaper, check them out! I love their ukuleles
This vid will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s the first vid I watched of hers and she is the one who inspired me to start playing ukulele. Now I have a really nice concert cordoba.

Note on the yellow ukulele: I have the same one in a different color. It's over a year old now, holds the tune pretty well (though the first few weeks were indeed difficult). It's not a high quality one, but pretty decent for its price.

I have a $10 uke, and it's been with me for about 6 years now and it's still working, the strings hold the tune nicely and it's pretty sturdy
When I bought my guitar, I told my mom it had 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and she told me to check how many reviews there were. If there are a lot of reviews and a good amount of stars, it means that it has a good chance of being a nice guitar (Or whatever thing you buy) but if there aren't many reviews (7:00 - 4 1/2 stars but only 87 reviews) it probably is not worth getting. Helpful Tip for those who want to buy good instruments (Or any other thing you want to buy).

Theres an app called yousician, maybe that could help you, that's what I use to help me tune my uke. And it's a free tool to help you learn songs and chords, I love it
i use GuitarTuna to tune mine, even if it’s called like that it works for ukes too lol

I just recently purchased a guitar center uke and I can say I am fairly impressed. The strings definitely need to be stretched but it was cheap and it’s a great beginner uke.

The yellow ukulele you bought is the same type I have. The marking on mine reads diamond head its a green ukulele that I got from a guitar shop (that sells ukuleles) for only 80 bucks USD and it's really functional, would definitely recommend for intermediate ukulele players and maybe even some professionals would rate it pretty well.
Edit: I have had it for around 2 years so it sounds great.
Edit #2: I forgot to mention it was already tuned and the strings were pretty tight before purchase, and it keeps tune for awhile unlike elise's experience.
I personally think you should chuck them out the window...just sayin...

Life lesson: Don’t buy ukuleles from Wish
I have the yellow ukulele but in black!! :)
It DOES stay in tune after some time, it stays in tune whether i play it or not for more than 2 weeks straight now!!! :p
I bought it in june or july, and it did not sound like you showed, strings came very loose in the beginning but i was able to tune it to standard tuning
in the beginning it changed after 5 minutes or so, it did get a lot better though
I really love it, and i still have the strings it came with! :p
I bought it on ebay for a total of 15 dollars
i do recommend it, but i have never played any other more expensive ukuleles, the ones sold in supermarkets for 30 bucks in my country sound exactly like this one though!!!!!
i have tried many tutorials and it never fails me, so for a beginner i TOTALLY recommend it! also it made me realize i'd love getting a concert ukulele instead of a soprano, i'd like it a little bigger

its very easy to buy the same thing in these websites as they both come from sellers in asia, factories should be the same or similar, not the first time i see the same things on the sites, wish is just more expensive cause of the shipping prices the sellers put in each item

I have no idea if it’s good as there are many mixed reviews, many focusing on the appearance and I don’t want to upset my grandparents who got me it by buying a new one immediately

In my music class they gave us untuned, 10 dollar ukuleles... some didnt have all the strings, and the ones that did have strings had GUITAR strings on them instead. My school is so shit omg. I ended up bringing my own ukulele to school 😂
I actually liked the 5 dollar one. Would be cool to have it more like a novelty show piece. At work or just in a room. Would be cool if they offered different designs than just fruit. Maybe they could make custom ones for 10 dollars. Oh or they made some with nature inspiration: beaches, pine forests, sunsets.

Elise, you could stretch the strings much faster. Just run a finger under each string from the bridge to the nut with a little upward pressure from the same finger. Next pinch the strings with 2 fingers between the nut and the tuning pegs. If you do this 2-3 times they should be pretty much all broken in. The next time you play it will require little to no tuning.
Our school has ukuleles and nobody knows how to tune them so every time that we do music class they sound terrible
