Yay itâs me!! :D Thank you Nina!
@@skibbeable you are so lucky lol
Gracias Nina por tu tiempo con el video y también la descripción tan detallada, un beso !

Hi Nina, first time here. Hello from Sweden. We have similar topography as Canada :). I have been in the outdoors for many years and still thereâs always something new to learn.
Thank you for the interest no bs video. Itâs a pleasure to your content, very down to earth and no filler đ«Ą
Another informative and high quality video! Your content is always the best. Thank you!
great video Nina, I love the organization. you got me all excited to get out into the back country now.
Yes!! Letâs goooo đ
Thank you for the video! đ It's always interesting to see what/how other hikers pack. Greetings from Finland!
Thanks for watching!
Great video Nina! I love your confidence. You show your Swiss roots đšđđâ€ïž
Thanks Dad! I love my Swiss roots đšđâ€ïž
You've got some great looking kit there and the camera is great quality. Subscribed!
Thanks for joining me here! I apologise for the late reply â€ïž
I'm going to have to try putting my tent at the top of my pack instead of the outside at the bottom - great tip!
As soon as I learned about that, itâs the only place Iâll put it! As long as thereâs room of course đ
Great job Nina! So proud of you â€ïžđđ
Thanks Mom! â€ïž
That backpack is amazing!!!
Such a great design and well organized! I think I need one lol
I love it so much! Great for longer trips
Nice setup! You really know what your doing! Some of these tutorials are head scratchers! You know your way around a pack! Fjallraven make nice packs! If you like that style of pack check out karrimor sf 45 or even their 75 liter. Quality and comfort! Stay safe! Hike on!
Ok will do! Thanks so much đđ
my kajka comes out for a months drag around scotlands mountains , an osprey would crumple at the very idea of it ( i have 2) kajkas are tough as the stuff i drag it over đ nice video i get a weeks suply of expedition foods (food packs )in the side pockets , mission ready
If you don't mind me asking do you have any tips for expedition foods? I've been living on pot noodles đ
Great breakdown! I just ordered this backpack and your video helped that decision! Suggestion for your bear spray, I just got a Hykr chest harness for the bear spray, it works awesome, keeps the bear spray from flopping around, is easily accessible and it stays on you when you take your bag off to go squat in the bush đ. Canadian made too! Cheers from Golden, hope all is well on the coast đ
Sorry for the late reply here! đ Iâll have to check out that chest harness
Great video! Keep up the great content đđ»
Thanks so much Orlando đ
Great video!! Thank you đ
Thanks Delvio! So glad you liked it đ
1st video and I will "sub" solely because you have awesome taste in backpacks. I have 52 and 75L Fjallraven. They are my most comfortable loadout gear.
Amazing! I love their gear too. So comfortable and durable!
Good video, very well explained and didactic. When you can travel after my vaccination I will put it into practice.
Thanks Jesus! Iâm happy that you liked it đ„°
This is useful, thanks. Fjall is my fav.
Mine too! Sorry for the late reply here đŹ
Awesome, those Fjallraven packs are amazing... Bear spray, wow can't imagine that to be calm enough to get the spray, here in UK though not so many, thank god. it was 2 years ago but I still played the guess the weight game and was so close.. I said 15 to 16 kg which in old money is in the 35.9lb region, you must be tough and strong with that weight but presume the backpack carries it well? Love your body art!!
Ya I always keep my bear spray somewhere close and easy to grab. Thanks for watching!
Great content will be watching more đ
Thanks so much Graham! đ
Great video! Just found your channel. Nice information. Great giveaway! Congrats to the winner. New follower here. Crowâïž
Great packing video⊠I struggle with this every time I go on overnight hikes. My guess for the weight based on what I saw you add in and what my backpack weights on an overnight trip, would be 34.6 lbs.
Glad you found it useful! Thanks for watching!
Great video , thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Understood đ nice video đ„
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the tip on the Peak Design Capture Camera Clip! Never heard of it but it seems to be just what I am looking for to click the camera on to my Kajka. Do you fasten it on the padded shoulder strap on your Kajka, or on the smaller on on top of the padded one? Would be great if you could post a picture when the camera clip is mounted on the Kajka. :)
Love you boss babe!
Thanks Wendy đ„°đ„°
I'm really curious... realizing this is on a older post but.....when traveling and trekking do you find yourself to be brand name or product loyal...or do you shop around for your gear?
đđđ
đ„°đ„°
You should host a beginners backpacking trip with subscribers from Vancouver :)
My wife and I would love to join you !
Great videos, pretty cool to see how many beautiful overnight trips we got around here. We've done most medium / hard hikes in lower mainland and Okanagan already, but never backpacked
Thatâs a cool idea! Iâll let you know if I can make it happen
â€â€
đ„°đ„°
I think the backpack will weigh somewhere in the 30 - 35 lbs range since it didn't seem like super heavy gear was packed.
You nailed it!
Nina is the BEST!!! đ„°đ€ Thank you for taking the time to make this video! Exactly what I needed! Lets go backpacking!đđđđ„°
So stoked you like the video! đ„°

Informative. I've been putting the heavy stuff at the bottom of my packs, and that definitely starts to weight down after a while. Question; Do you usually carry a secondary bag with camera gear? Tripod or other lenses/filters? Or do you usually carry your camera with a single lens on backpacking trips?
Thanks Fadi! I usually just bring my camera and a single lens. I use the Peak Design camera clip to Cary it on the outside of my bag if the weather is nice. If I carried a tripod, I would most likely have it in one of the side pockets.

@@NinaDefilla Awesome. Thank you for the clarification, Nina!
Hi Nina, do you have idea of how comfortable this pack is compared to some ultralight options in the market? Iâve been researching about backpacking backpacks recently, trying to decide which one to buy. I saw this pack looks very cute but itâs 6lbs so that kinda worry me. Any suggestions? Thank you!
Omg Iâm so sorry for the late reply here đ this pack is super comfy. Not sure about the other ones on the market though

Okay, so waiting on the new video. Hopefully you are still enjoying life. Stay with it.
Hey! Sorry about the late reply here. I still need to edit my next vlog, fell behind a bit. Itâs coming though âșïž
Nice video! Is this the womens fit backpack? Do you also have a fjallraven mens fitting backpack? If so could you comment on the fit differences between the two that you notice. Trying to decide which would fit better. Much appreciated!
This pack comes in womenâs and menâs
Hello, thanks for this. I'm in Scotland and looking to do some more outdoors stuff this year. I'm curious of your thoughts about the water filter you briefly showed. How does it work for you? The link didn't work for me as I'm outside the US and Canada. Can you tell me the model? Cheers.
Hey Andrew! Glad you liked the video. The water filter I use is by Katadyn. Have you seen my video about all my gear? I go into more detail on that one
Hereâs the link to my gear video: czcams.com/video/MSv9dpLFiMw/video.html
@@NinaDefilla Thanks a lot, there are so many vids to choose from these days. I've actually gone with a hybrid system to get the best of both worlds. I've ordered a Sawyer squeeze filter, and a CNOC water bag. I like the idea of the Sawyer filter, but not their pathetic squeeze bags. The CNOC bag has a massive opening and a 28mm threaded cap on the bottom. Here in Scotland though, those types of filters are useless if below freezing and MSR makes one that is good in that type of weather, but ouch, the cost ...
Just stumbled on to your channel ! Great content ! Subbing right meow ! :)
Thanks so much Ernestorm! đ„°
Hey babe love you and missing you so much...
How many pairs of socks do you usually carry for a 2-3 day trek?
Iâm sorry for the late reply here! I usually like to have two pairs of socks a day, and one pair that I sleep in each night. SoâŠmaybe 6 or 7 for a 3 day trek? Depends on how long the trek is, and what the weather is like. Sometimes Iâll only bring one pair of socks a day
Where do you put all your camera gear?
My camera is usually clipped to the outside of my pack if itâs not raining. Everything else goes inside
Hi, what backpack size do you recommend for a one overnight hike?
My pack for a one night overnight trip is 52L. I started out with a 35L pack, and that was too small. Hope this helps! Sorry for the late reply too â€ïž
@@NinaDefilla no worries, thanks for the reply. Iâm gonna go with a 38L, I know itâs probably too small but I think I just need to figure that out by myself đ
hello im from BC new west i just bought the same pack the 65L how do you like it
Nice. I love this pack for my multi night trips!
Would this pack be good fot tour du la blanc
Gatona muito linda

You should do a raffle for one of your subscribers to go on a hike with you!!! Preferably me!! Haha
Lol! I would love to host a group hike eventually đ€
Not a bad idea ehâŠIâd be downâŠhell I might even fly out to do itâŠIâm going this weekend in Algonquin parkâŠwhich is beautiful and in OntarioâŠif ya havenât heard of it check it out!! đ€đœ
Hi ! What colour is this Kajka? They only have the light blue and black online can't seem to find this dark blue color the same one that you have Nina đ
This one is a dark grey. Kind of looks blue in the right light
@@NinaDefilla Graphite is the name of the colorway.
Just subscribe number 955 almost 1000 hope you get there.
Thanks Curtis! I think that will happen soon đ Appreciate your support!
Do you live in a garage??
Epic.
Haha it used to be my room, yes. Now itâs the living room/office/gear room
Where are the clothes? You only put one jacket?
Clothes either go in the middle or near the top because they are lighter. I usually bring a rain jacket just in case and something to keep me warm, depending on the weather
