I’ve never enjoyed mowing or weed eating, although I love gardening. But I, too, find these kinds of videos - where kind-hearted people use their time, energy, tools, skills, as well as their compassion - incredibly inspiring and entrancing. I am fully cognizant that he is getting some compensation via social media advertising and the exposure (and experience), but it doesn’t measure up to what he is doing for the people he’s helping out. Kudos to people who (whether anonymously or for clicks) bother to help others when they don’t have to. 👏👏👏 🙏❤️

That's lovely. I'm sure she remembers when the ice truck made deliveries. My late Dad would be 84 this year, and he remembered hot summer treats when the ice man made his delivery to their house. He said the kids all sat quietly on the porch so as not to be in the way, and they were super respectful to the delivery man... because if he was in a good mood, he'd give each of the kids the chips that fell off the blocks of ice. I mention that because it's one of the things people used to watch in those days before television -- just watching the deliveries, and the new machines doing work in the city, or on the farms. May God bless you for honoring your mother as He commands.

Pamela, I’m disabled and depending on how good or bad I am on the day decides if I need one of the more front bus seats. A particular route I have to do there and back ten minutes later feels like hours 😂 Because of the time coming back elderly people can use their free pass. By that time I’ve been up very early, I hurt and I just want to sit & read.
But I make myself talk to the elderly people, so many times they’ve thanked me for the chat and often say they don’t get to speak to many people 😢. Others have told me I was the first person in days! I always thank them for the chat too.
Sometimes, when I just want to get on my next bus, come home and have a nap I’ve asked if they’d like to come to a cafe. I used to teach a craft class to 12 elderly ladies, it was great, like having 12 grandmas, though I’d get a playful slap for being cheeky 😂 one with severe dementia would tap out bottoms and tell us we were beautiful and glamorous! Who could complain about that 😂 x

but it's kinda ... funny that you "gather" to watch a guy mowing grass for an hour. just like I said, today you can make any kind of videos. people record themselves goin to Walmart and somehow get millions of views on those videos and glorify the channel owner for literally EVERYTHIN in the comments 🤦🏻‍♀️ what kind of times do we live in, honestly? some random can become "popular" among a certain circle of people, usually teens, who take selfies and autographs from them. like wtf. an autograph from a CZcamsr? for recording some dumb vlogs and challenges and tryin to be "funny" and "relatable" in em? and they go on tv, slap some books(that somebody wrote for them. and what is actually scary is that they sometimes "write" books on subjects they literally have NO IDEA about, they got no competences, nothin. many of them are school dropouts even, just to record videos on CZcams tictoc and take "cute selfies" for Instagram and this is apparently considered "a job" nowadays, and teens think they are "famous' and deserve praise just for bein there and making videos for money... again, WHAT TIMES DO WE LIVE IN????????????????? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
you gotta admit, praisin somebody for nowin grass IS kind of weird. but oh wait, he "helps" people in need, for free, just to get more views and likes and subs so the sheep's think your such a good person, doin it for free, not knowin they do it for money... maybe I should record when I open the door for an elder person, imma have millions of people praising me for how much of an angel I am :D or for stoppin at a stop sign. or helping my mom do laundry. or cleanin the toilet after taking a shit at somebody's house, because that's such a kind thing to do... 🤦🏻‍♀️ YES, I saw comments who literally praised people for opening a door for somebody :D and praisin them for their sexuality, race, for everythin. and become soooo protective over their privacy. all of them full grown-ass adults who know EXACTLY what they do and say on videos and articles(they write articles and do interviews with CZcamsrs... 🤦🏻‍♀️and they go on some tours, duck knows what to do in there. just so they can milk teenagers who think they are some celebrities for $400 per ticket I guess. and what is also scary, is people ACTUALLY LAY THEM THIS SHITLOAD OF MONEY, JUST TO SEE THEM. some randoms from the internet...

Wow, nothing interesting to see in the UK?! Please! Have you EVER traveled outside of your own little county? I’m sorry, but that sounds a bit ignorant, as if it’s even your business, to begin with! Of course, you are entitled to your own opinion, as is everyone, but you say it in a very condescending manner. Most of us have roots there, if we go back far enough. But, what about Stonehenge, Bath, Canterbury, Shakespeare, all the wonderful literary giants & poets from UK, etc, etc? I could go on & on. London is one of the most interesting cities in the world. I never get tired of it. I think it’s mostly very civilized there, with so much rich history. We are babes in the woods here in US, just toddlers, compared to European cultures, and we can always learn from their history & from one another. Just give it a thought. As St. Augustine said, "The World is a book and those who do not travel read only one page." Peace.

Absolutely beautiful paintings! I'm an artist too and I'm always infatuated with others work. I've been painting over 45yrs and never went to school for it, it just came natural, so I totally understood his comment. I had a scholarship for art school but my dad passed away 2wks before I graduated HS an then my mom had cancer so I made the choice to stay with her, care for her and sold my paintings on consignment at the old Greens Drug Store in Knox, In. I retired from my selling days but it's nice to know my many pieces have traveled as far as Guam.. People dont realize it, but everyone has a bit of an artistic ability in them. Whether from cooking, cleaning, even that fancy fold of napkins or crocheting, paintbrush or mower, weed eater, wood carvings, pie crusts, breads, even paper airplanes, all the way down to that little flip book and the stick figure lol Everyone is an artist! Just by stopping and talking to this guy, you made his day. Sometimes the only interaction some folks get is just going to the store, and the staff isn't always friendly( I know I used to work retail). Example.
We had a customer whom seemed rough tempered and no one else liked dealing with her because of it. So I found out what her name was, went out of my way just to walk up and say " Good afternoon Marge how are you today and is there anything I can help you with?" And that's all it took to make an old lady( widow that lived alone) smile ear to ear. ( and she never smiled before)
After that it was like I gained an Aunt. She went out of her way just to say Hi if I was there that day (grocery store).
A little kindness is all it takes to make lonely folks happy.
    Kudos to you young man!

If you want to tell me, I really want to hear. Most people don’t care to talk any more.” So me and Robert, 74, talked for about 10 minutes.

Al, this reminds me of something you need to be careful of while edging around lines including cable tv lines.
I used to be a service technician and I have seen houses with bad grounds to the electrical panels back feed through the cable companie's equipment. Once the main cable feed was disconnected, the cable lines would be generated and start to melt and burn.
I have seen a lot of occasions where a landscaper accidentally cut through the cable lines and best case scenario, the cable stops working but worst case could be electrocution under perfect circumstances.
Stay safe and keep up the good work. You guys are an inspiration.

Judging by where it is on the strand and how it's attached on the pole, those branches are siting on power and that's why it caught fire. Telco is on the strand below it. The power company would need to come out or have one of their contractors trim the trees on that line for it to be safe and not catch again.

Whenever I was on call during the holidays, I would get calls from some patients who said they had problems with their equipment. They just wanted to talk. I fully understood. It was a pleasure to talk with them. I even had one lady bake me cookies when she would call.
