You just use a break layer to take off the powder in the breaking area

I was working at local rim factory for after market anthem , hostels and most stock rims here Florida . Company S&B went bankrupt , sadly I had started my YT channel then , but I did start getting posting my channel shortly after , I have a few clips on my channel of back then of me spraying. Now I have my personal life motivations to getting my personal setup . Salute, blessings.

just tape up the rotors so they dont have to be turned.
no one turns rotors anymore for a reason.

Not a lot was used but it was quite a bit!
Could you do a test piece with that powder coat color and then splatter a light pink on it. Think it would look cool and be some different

@@LaceyBlair bet it looks sick on the slotted rotors after it wears off where the pads make contact and all the holes are the color you painted 💯🔥
You have to put the Basecoat in the oven then shoot the color you want?
Some have base coats and some don't!! It just depends on what the customer wanted!! So with this one they wanted a base coat under the main coat!
You can powder coat the rotor hat, but not the contact face. Maybe these rotors were turned on brake lathe afterwards. I think I would have shown that being done just to be clear.

why not just wipe it off of the rotor disc before baking it?
Or vacuum off. Imagine may be faster just turning them in a lathe.

From a technician point of view don’t think the rotors will stay that color once pressure from the brake is applied to the rotors would like to see a vid with them functioning I might be wrong tho
Pads will wear this off... obviously. Sadly after a few hundred miles and a little bit of moisture or rain, the surface with flash rus over. Rotors are such a pita to keep looking nice. Might be wise just to have a set for show and trailer it. At least the center of the rotor and the outer lip and vane area will be nice. My question is, how well does the powder coat handle cleaners like an iron remover for wheels, brake hardware and wheelwells areas.
So those rotors won’t be used? They can’t be now.

The rotors will be turned on a brake lathe so the surface the pad makes contact with will look just like any other brake rotor except the slots will still have color along with the rest of the rotor except the face the pad makes contact with

@@H3PLAYERZ we do what works for us. Theres no problem in hot flocking your first coat to get into hard to reach places. People frown upon it for no reason
Those are perhaps the ugliest welds I've ever seen.
