Instead of conducting Prelims in offline mode, UPSC can conduct prelims in Online mode. So the result can be declared within a week and this also saves near to one month time........
While South thinks we are living in india, North thinks we are living in hindia. Every citizen should have right a translation to his/her mother language in addition to a common English question. This is a fair call. Now what is happening UPSC is discrimination favouring Hindi speaking citizens. I wonder how courts are keeping quiet to such a blatant discrimination and under which law this discrimination is being done that too in an important and critical government recruitment?

Language is an added advantage if it's their mother tongue... either all official languages must be given importance in UPSC or the question paper should be in English alone... with the privilege to write in mother tongue in Answer paper, if possible increase the duration of prelims and mains... mains is vast... little time interval for mains and final interview, time duration can be compensated like that... Students of all States with different linguistic background must feel comfortable in UPSC...

My friend cleared gate and got AIR 96 in gate 2022. Yesterday result came bt he was not selected. Those scored 12 marks less than him, got selected of same category. They deliberately failed him in interview😢... And favoured North Indians.. i m wondering how I come cross such kind of people 😪don't know where we are moving forward 😪?

It's my perception as our English language is common for every students across India .....even the vernacular medium students also have one subject that is English language.....so v can't avoid that ....in this case v can print the question paper only in English language so that v can avoid this clash Hindi vs other language in India as v r diverse....and till now upsc recruitment time is ideal only bcoz this exam need certain kind of qualities.....v can't rush it like bank exams which the time period is under 6months ....
This is a modern day discrimination against non-hindi students while attending central govt examination. Either they should remove the Hindi translation in CSAT & mains paper or should translate in all scheduled languages. The ultimate comedy is, the protector of the constitution & Merit system (UPSC) is also doing this kind of modern discrimination. Reforms are necessary.

If top 3000 candidates only get selected for mains as you said, how will other people get chance to write mains? Even if a candidate who secures lowest cut off marks in prelims and write he can do well in the mains. Even if a candidate's name is found in the top 3000 in the preliminary he may not perform well in the mains. So 1:3 ratio from prelims to mains will be unfair.

The best would be cancelling out prelims. After notification 4 months time should be given to prepare for mains along with Aptitude and based on the result of mains exam,the interview should be conducted so the entire process will get completed in 6-7 months time.
Regarding veerapa moiley commision suggesion How sir we study mains by taking conceptual knowledge but in prelims we have to study some facts well. If the exam conduct at the same time means how to study and clear the exam sir?
Sir , optional subject should also be removed or it should also be converted to GS paper. As out of many courses we have only few optional subjects which may give undue advantage for people who have thief ug or pg in relevant optional subject...

UPSC can translate the question papers in all regional languages that are scheduled ...But can say that the English would be the final reference ...if so, if it may any mistakes on the translation in regional languages,, English would be prioritised is better than this current method....Atleast, it motives all the youngsters from all parts of the country to participate...Most of the sincere civil service aspirants have not been taking the UPSC as it provide the QPs in Hindi and english alone ..

Sir , optional subject should also be removed or it should also be converted to GS paper. As out of many courses we have only few optional subjects which may give undue advantage for people who have thief ug or pg in relevant optional subject...

UPSC can translate the question papers in all regional languages that are scheduled ...But can say that the English would be the final reference ...if so, if it may any mistakes on the translation in regional languages,, English would be prioritised is better than this current method....Atleast, it motives all the youngsters from all parts of the country to participate...Most of the sincere civil service aspirants have not been taking the UPSC as it provide the QPs in Hindi and english alone ..
It will definitely not bother the UPSC if any translation errors found in the question paper ,as it clearly mentioned that the ENGLISH would be the final ...this would good way if they consider it ...
