So I just recently left venice and I have to say we accidently stumbled upon a vivaldi concert. It was actually incredible and was so happy we discovered it. They apparently perform 4 months (until december) and recommend you see it.

I was just in Italy back in April. We were in Rome, Florence and Venice. I have to say Venice was my favorite city. I loved all the bridges and my favorite place was Burano.
Can you share you itinerary with me?
Treviso is a great spot near Venice with airport as well. You can find a great apartment like "palazzina trevigiana" or "chiarano home" near the train station and then go by to Venice easily because are only 25 minute of train. Treviso is a super cool city as well, so I think is the best way to visit 2 great city in one trip 🎉

@AndrewPandrew200 paying charges constantly when you are a foreigner, because they know you can't read Italian..... yes, it is a waste of money! I did a lot of trip in different country, and here, in venizia, it was the first I felt so cheated by restaurant's owners......

The thing is, each Italian city has a different story, culture, food, dialect, people and architecture, Venice was a powerful Repubblica marinara and it's a unique place in the world, it's a must. Keep in mind Venice is 10 times smaller than Rome, if you are tight with time maybe you want to spend just 2 days in Venice and 3 or 4 in Rome. Enjoy.

Why did I only have 1 day in Venice?
Venezia.... and the famous surprise fees!
I went in several restaurant, and even if it written "no charge", they will find an excuse to add charge... (example : "ha yes, no charge only on this page of the menu".... WTF?)...
the worst was the restaurant who make me pay 2 times the expected price (+15% charge).. As I don't understand Italian, I didn't know he cheated me. It's when I translated the receipt at hotel that I understood that I paid for something totally different from what I ate!...
the next day, I complained to him and the only thing he said is "come back tonight, t will be free of charge this time"!... no respect for tourist!
Murano glass? Check before you buy! half are just copy and not made in murano..

I usually stay 6 days on vacation. As for how much money required to travel. That depends on the person .Some people like luxury others do it on a budget

Add 20% to the total to be safe
