Downtown Fredericton here I come!
Here it is. My first official test ride in my new wheelchair. Like I said in the video I have had the wheelchair for a couple months but basically only used it around my house, gym and grocery store. This is the first time taking it out on the town for a good rip. I must say it was a nice day for it!
The pushes real smooth and I can definitely feel the difference in weight. My previous chair weighed 26lbs and the new APEX weighs in at 22lbs. A difference of 4lbs doesn't seem like a lot but I sure can the difference when lifting it up in my vehicle and pushing around own.

The APEX Carbon wheelchair by Motion Composites belongs to a new era of rigid wheelchairs. A balanced blend of technology and design, it is the ultimate in lightness, durability, flexibility and style. An high-end technology and all the advantages of carbon fiber in a modern-looking, fully adjustable chair.
Made of the industry’s most advanced materials, the APEX Carbon wheelchair is truly state-of-the-art. The use of carbon fiber makes it incredibly light, while the canteliver frame provides optimal comfort by absorbing shocks and vibrations. A transport weight of 9.8 lbs ensuring agile transportation and movement for well-being at all times.
The rigidizing bar unique to the APEX model maximizes stability while preserving reactivity. This sturdiness reduces lateral movement and offers optimal propulsion for greater mobility.
While technology and function are important, so are design and aesthetics. Each detail of the APEX Carbon chair was carefully considered and thoughtfully designed to create a head-turning chair that challenges all wheelchair stereotypes.
Carbon fiber has the unique quality of being one of the strongest, yet lightest materials on earth. It also has superior fatigue resistance and can withstand extreme temperatures. This ensures exceptional durability for a chair that will serve you for many years to come.
APEX Carbon wheelchair offers a number of settings for a completely customized experience. Fully modular, the back angle, seat-to-floor height and rear wheel positions can all be adjusted for your comfort. Laser-etched markings make it easier to adjust key components and specify exact positioning.

Oh, nice curb jump too by the way!
Oh yeah! Thanks!
Looks good
Thanks Amanda O!
Your new chair looks very cool and comfortable. Smooth ride and all!
I love it!
Is it me or it glides like a dream?
It does ride really smooth. I was quite happy with its performance.
Hey Shane! I fixed your triple six subs!😉
Thanks Tim! I was getting a little worried :)
Bro, you make it look too easy. 🤣
Ha! I've got some miles under my belt. :)
Awesome Video 👍😊
Thank you!
@@paralifetv-youreverydaywhe8314 have a terrific day 😎👍
I can tell your Canadian by the way you pronounce "Composites" , haha. Nice video. I am getting the same Motion Composites Apex chair hopefully here in the next few months. It will be my first custom chair. I cant believe I have lasted a year in the one I recieved after leaving the hospital. That chair looks like its easy to push and rolls smoothly. Nice video man.
LOL too funny eh? :) Thanks for watching. I'm very happy with the chair so far. It rides smooth and fits like a glove. I hope you have the same experience with yours. Keep me posted!
Nice video! Will be getting the helio c2 in the next week or so, if there are no delays. VA didn’t give me options on chair model but seems like Motion has great products. Looking forward to getting it as it will be my first chair and am excited about getting some freedom back!
Nice. This looks like it has a nice smooth glide and did well on the grass. How much motion do you have in the frame over uneven surfaces?
Hello thanks for watching. It is a very smooth ride. I don't notice alot of flex/motion in the seating frame part but I do notice a comfortable amount of flex in my front caster forks/frame when going over sidewalk cracks. Just enough to help absorb and cushion the impact so you do come to a screeching halt and flip out of your chair. Mind you if you are going at a fast pace eventually you'll get dumped :) I've been there and done that more than once. lol I hope I answered your question. Cheers!
The new chair looks good, is it light? it looked quite light the way you put it in the car? have to say on the grass it looked like you struggled a little? how are you finding it now you have had it a bit longer? good film as well looks lovely where you are thank you for sharing
The chair to me is very light. 22lbs makes it easier to push and lift. I still find it very comfortable. With the smaller frame I find it much easier to fit into vehicles, maneuver around the house ect. Grass is usually a struggle in general pushing through in a manual wheelchair. Uneven ground, divots, grass.. Fredericton is a beautiful city! Thank you for watching!
What was your previous chair model before this chair
Hi Daniel. The chair I had before my Apex was a TiLite ZRA.
