I don’t know if you’ll see this but, I’ve been into fish recently and the proper care that actually goes into them. I work at a pet store and when people want a betta or any other fish I make sure they have a proper tank for them so they’ll have just the happiest fish. However, when I get a costumer that argues that they’ve had a betta or a goldfish in a bowl and “they lived for a while just fine” like I never know a good way to explain like that it’s still not okay? Can even anyone in the comments help me figure out something to say to these stubborn people so I can maybe have it im their brain that fish are living things as well😅
Ask them if they want to live,eat,poop,move inside a closet their whole life. And then ask them if they would enjoy that or if thats what a human needs.. its not, so the same goes for a fish bowl... so say like us , fish need space to breath live eat and not be tortured..

@@Growingdopamine818 that's a good idea. Try explaining to them how fish are like all other animals- they're extremely resilient, but that doesn't mean they're happy. A dog COULD possibly live for years within a single kennel, but that doesn't mean they would be healthy, happy, or reach their full growth and colors. You fish will be much more energetic and better to watch if you give them more space.

The petsmart near me is actually kinda good, they said the right things for the crested gecko, and there was a sign in the tank pointing to a goldfish saying "we can't live in a little bowl"
In my country there are only specific pet shops. No petsmart, no petco, no Walmart.

Some people need your phone's refresh rate for their aquariums. Your videos are absolutely great.
In my house we had 5 goldfishes in small aquarium, i know that the gold fishes live in bad condition but the one who want the fishes is my grandma (i lived with my grandma and my siblings, she is the house owner) and i know she's going to get mad if i told her that she's doesn't provide good condition, i only succeeded on convince her to NOT add more goldfishes.

That tank with the picture of the maid is a Banksy print. Banksy is currently the most appreciated grafitti/stencil artist alive. That particular graffiti was in London, but was painted over and no longer exists. WOuld be worth millions now.

I love watching this when I stay up all night and then falling asleep but waking up one second later and continue with fish videos problay keeping my dad up all night lol
If you're having trouble with terrarium plants try some pothos. They are just as tough in soil as in water. They make good climbing plants up the backside of the enclosure as long as they have something soft to push roots into (like rolled up coconut coir)
Plus, if you mist regularly, tillandsia should work well. They don't grow much, but they'll live.
When I come home for lunch better believe I throw FTR on for the whole hour on the TV 💯

In high school, the environmental science class did an experiment on water and how it affects wildlife or something (I don’t know, I wasn’t in the class. But my sister was) and the teacher threatened that if the fish weren’t taken home that he would just throw them all outside in a pond or flush them.

I mean learning about maintaining the water in my betta tank definitely felt like kitchen sink chemistry. Its a weird way to say it but I get it lol
5:30 I believe the refresh rate for s10 is only up to 60Hz, because the screen hardware only capable displaying 60Hz...
and because of some recent software update there's an option to toggle 120Hz but it doesn't change anything to the actual refresh rate

I don't think that's an internal power filter in that first video, I think it's a large submersible pump. It has what appears to be a half-inch ID vinyl tube running from it up to that homemade canister balanced perilously on two sticks, which is probably the intake line. Full disclosure: I'm currently building a HOB filter for my tank with a similar pump-in-tank scheme. I'd like to think I researched mine better.

I think I like green neon tetras better than regular neon tetras or cardinal tetras, even though they have the same general look and colouration, but I also recently saw something called a blue neon rasbora which looked super similar to all of the ones above and looked really cute too, maybe it’s just because I like looking at tiny fish in big aquariums and like how they seem more in proportion to the planted landscape and hard scape and the miniature live aquarium plants I like that makes the perspective view look even more spacious for the fish?

I'm sorry Christ but I'm Malay and we never refer to these fish as "ikan betta" or "ikan betah" as wikipedia says, we only refer to them as "ikan laga" in our native tongue. "betah" means endure, persistent and many other things, while "laga" means fighting or sparring which sounds the more logical name.
I think the white guy who gave the genus name understood The Malay language but didn't know what context to use it in or what suitable words to use. Because betta sounds exactly the same as the more famously use word "beta" which is only used by a king or a sultan to refer to himself
