We always do the 6-6:30am flight. It’s rough in the morning, especially with kids, but so worth it to have the whole day!!
Fun to hear your travel day. We have always loved checking into our resort in person, still giving someone a job ☺️ plus we enjoy our resort lobby. We have always stayed at Riverside, it is home away from home for us. This summer will be our 14th trip. Once we arrive we grab something to eat in the cafeteria, go to the gift shop, head to our room, then swim then head to Disney Springs on the boat for the night for dinner and shopping. It’s our tradition 🥰

There was a lot of us growing up so we ALWAYS just lived out of our suitcase. It wasn't until I met my husband that I realized people unpacked at the hotel.
Same! Several kids in my family, so I was rarely able to actually unpack on vacation, lol!
13:52 I have become an unpacker no matter the trip. I stage clothes in packing cubes by the day inside suitcases and we just rotate the suitcases in and out with the correct days in it. Just open and go!

Honestly, I’m with Tyler on this one. I love early flights because if I have to wait for a flight like for the afternoon or at night, I get very anxious and also my go to McDonald’s is definitely that bagel for breakfast because the sauce they put in it is top-tier.

Disney’s mini golf is the BEST. The winter wonderland has amazing themed sets and magical touches on each hole. Definitely something not to miss.
I NEVER unpack even if it’s like 7 days because I have a fear of leaving something lol 😂
I love this podcast. I lived in south Florida when my son was young. He took his first steps at Wilderness lodge. We were Florida seasonal pass holders and went about 8 times a year. I was the one who knew all the stuff and tricks of seeing everything. It’s been many many years, and I love hearing about all the new things. I am now out of state, but you betcha when I plan a trip with my grandbabies, People Mover Travel will be planning my trip. ❤
Our first day was drop our stuff, and since we were at the Bailey towers at the contemporary and had perfect access to the monorail we immediately went to the Polynesian for Dole whips. A few hours of exploring and we found ourselves at the Grand Floridian Cafe for a very light dinner.
I remember the Wilderness Lodge trip that you mentioned with the mug. Crazy how much your videos stay in my memory. Haha!

on an adult's only trip, I didn't have time to get my pedicure done before our trip/cruise. I went to the Grand Flo spa on arrival day. It was a magnificent way to kick off a trip of R&R for me!

I get the guffman recipe hard. My best friend and I have a different part of that monolog we quote regularly. I work at an iced cream shop and we make waffle cones in the shop. When I got hired my best friend said you will be "makin the cones" literally, so at least once a week I say "makin the cones" and no one knows what I am talking about. Love the video. Well done.

I’m with Tyler, we drag our 4 kids out at 3am and we get on a flight 6-7am… we like to be at Disney by 10am.

I miss being able to arrive early in the day. I moved fo California and my last Disney World trip I left in the early morning, but with a layover and a plane delay arrived in Orlando around 9PM. Meanwhile my parents had a direct flight from Milwaukee and had basically the entire day to wander and do whatever. We got to the hotel and were ready for bed!
We booked for next May and I was told that you get a free water park admission next year. So we’re considering that for our travel day 😅
My favorite way to arrive is to get in as early as possible like 3 am and do early arrival or a late arrival depending on what they call it now. Get into the room and sleep for a few hours and then rope drop! The goal is to get as much park time in as possible.
Now that I’m older and have kids I’d do it differently. I would do an evening arrival and get settled into the room and go to the parks the next day.
I just got back from a week at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and I spent my first day exploring the resort and I loved it! Sadly my trip is over but already planning the next one😊
When I went to Disneyland as a kid, sometimes we'd be able to watch the fireworks from our hotel on the travel day ❤
I'm from Toronto, so my favourite late night food thing to get is White Castle on Door Dash haha
We are an unpack, put everything away and get organized on our arrival day family! The last two trips we have had my grandchildren with us and getting the room set up was a game changer. I love being able to get up in the morning, know where everything is and it certainly helps get you out the door faster when everything is organized! I am obsessed with travel day vlogs…obsessed lol

Can you explain more how that grocery order works?
YES!!! I need to know which company (Amazon, walmart, Kroger, etc) and what instructions to give the grocery people so that Bell services has your order and it gets delivered to your room! Details please!
I think you guys should put all the suggestions into a jar and pull a couple before each trip so you can experience them too.

I save 5s and 1s months before a trip or go to your bank and get them. Last time I had to leave at 4am and the other person didn’t show up. It was a Mears bus, glad they were there because my Lyft ride took an hour and a half to show up to the back lot at Disney Springs so I had little faith they would show up that early to make it to the airport.
The mini golf is SO FUN!!!! 10 out of 10!
We are Disneyland locals. When we go for a staycation at Disney resorts, our arrival day includes shopping at Downtown Disney, exploring the hotels and then chilling at the pool. We like to enjoy ourselves and enter the Disney bubble before going hard at the parks. 😂

I have never been to DW and I don’t remember the 1 trip I went to DL (I was 4😅). I love watching your Disney vlogs (and all your videos from both your other channels actually). But watching these podcast episodes are so fun and educational, I’m mentally filing away all the tips for one day when we get to take our daughter to DW (she’s 18 months right now). We’ve never even flown together as a couple, let along as parents, so any and all of the traveling with kids tips you can give, I am just gobbling up! I would love a “Traveling to Disney with littles for Dummies” episode, that would include any of the tiniest mundane tips you’ve got 😅. Love you guys!

I was so bummed not to have spotted y’all on our recent trip, 4/24-4/28. Jessica mentioned in one of her videos she was going and I was stoked to maybe have ran into y’all and the girls. We have a daughter also, only a few days younger than Gigi and I’ve loved hearing about her since she was born. She is so cute. ❤❤

I love these so much! We are going back Jan 2025❤ In my 37 years, I’ve never unpacked on a trip except for toiletries or if something needs to be hung. I pull my clothes from my suitcase and they get put in a plastic bag in my suitcase after they’ve been worn. This is part paranoia of leaving something in a drawer and part laziness😂
My husband is a pilot so the need to tip happens quite a bit. He carries $2 bills just for that. He will get them 100 bills at a time and then work his way thru them.

You get a free round of mini golf with a Disney package. You have to ask at the desk for the coupons or they are sometimes loaded in your MDE account
I’m shannanegans!!!! PLEASE go to geyser point- I make a point to hop there every trip. it’s fun for watching a game (eagles v bears in the 2019 playoffs is a core memory) AND you can mosey over to see the fireworks and they pipe in the music!!!! I have never had bad food/drink there

Our new tip, always , always order groceries right away. TWICE on two separate trips. Our grocery service (won't mention the name) missed big time. One , we just didn't get it until 4 hours later after the assigned,/preplanned time and this hotel would NOT let it be delivered to our room or hold onto it for us-so we had to be there for it. And the second time the grocery service couldn't seem to find our hotel at all??? even though it's a popular hotel they couldn't seem to find it????? So nothing would be worse than having an MK day and you can't get there because of groceries?????
Travel day for my family to WDW involves driving for upto 15 hours. We don't fly. It's cheaper to drive. It can take 1-2 days to drive going or coming back. Arrival Day is usually we so tired and unable to do much.

I love the idea of buying a coffee mug, using it there, then using that at home for the memory. My husband and I will be going to disney together for the 1st time soon and I am so excited. I have been and he has not. Any recommendations for a 1st timer?? I really want to eat at Be Our Guest. Is it worth it?
I can't imagine pulling out a camera on travel day because we're usually up at 4am getting to the airport and everyone is grumpy lol. Our vacation starts the following day.

When did McDonalds start serving bagels?
We used a private car service on our last trip to transfer to and from the airport. We needed it to guarantee a car seat, and it really wasn’t much more expensive than the bus option or Uber. We would do it again.
Yeah, I was surprised to see that the private transportation was usually pretty close to what it would’ve cost to get an Uber carseat - plus then we had the safety net of knowing that we for sure have transportation, and not just crossing our fingers that we can get an Uber car seat!

I really don’t get American tipping culture. Why are we tipping the mears driver for putting your bags underneath the coach when it’s part of their job. Sorry, a Brit here if you couldn’t tell :)
As an American I don’t get it either 😂
Because companies never pay people what they should and the customer is expected to make up the difference.
I promise, some of us also don't get it and find it frustrating.

I don’t think it’s as confusing as some people like to make it, if you wanna go above and beyond to look out for someone that’s doing a service for you then you should and if not, don’t. The people doing these jobs are usually making minimum wage and it’s just an extra thank you leaving a tip. People get so bothered by it which is the weird part because they could simply just not do it while letting the people that do,enjoy it.
