Not sure...Rossi (& academy) was always a Yamaha guy and his relation with Ducati, was never that good.
I believe that VR 46 needed a good bike to start (we all remember the mess at the beginning) and, for me, Rossi is preparing a move of VR 46 to Yamaha in the future.
For the moment, Ducati contract with Marc, only gave them trouble and confusion, do not see any problem of Morbi to stay in Yamaha satellite...

@@sburns2421 I don't hate Ducati, I'd just like a little more diversity among the bikes on the grid. Ducati literally make up half of it right now. Ideally we'd have Suzuki and Kawasaki come back but that probably won't ever happen. We MIGHT get BMW by 2027 with the new rules but they haven't managed a World Superbike title yet. Though Toprak may well deliver this year which they need since he might be leaving for Honda next year, either in GP or WSBK according to rumors. Or he's angling for a bigger paycheck from BMW with the Honda rumors.

Pramac entered the MotoGP world championship in 2002 racing Honda bikes. In 2005 it moved to race with Ducati by partnering with the D'Antin Racing structure, starting a long trajectory of comings and goings in the championship, until in 2018, with Jack Miller and Danilo Petrucci in its ranks it became the best independent team.
So they built up the Ducati with the Lenovo team

Pramac never blocked the idea, their contract was for two up to date Factory bikes. Marc knew Gresini couldn’t get Factory bikes so could easily say that. Ducati thought they’d put Marquez in Pramac and Martin in the Factory team and they had the best of both worlds.

The way things are going we're not going to see an though of the guys we want to see
Young boy's are coming in to fast
    Its losing its appeal .

There’s not enough time over the weekend already without adding an extra class
Viewing and attendance figures all on the up so it certainly not losing up its appeal

this is exactly what happened. Marc signed with Ducati Martin threw a temper tantrum signed with Aprillia, Maverick threw a temper tantrum signed with KTM Pramac lost Martin threw a temper tantrum signed with Yamaha. I haven't seen this many tears from grown men since 2015.

Ducati coughing up millions for MM (reportedly) tells me he was always their first choice. They just hoped he would accept Pramac do they could keep Martin too

Martin had nowhere to go at Ducati
Rumours coming out of Assen Maverick was about to be pushed so he jumped first
Pramac have no top riders for their bikes after all that and it now emerges if true Yamaha are meeting all costs of running Pramac including rider’s salary
      Which is very unusual

Yes the most expensive time for all of the teams and manufacturers. Just a brilliant plan by the executives at mpgp. Maybe this will flush out a couple more of the current manufacturers and be an obstacle for any new ones. Just an idea but maybe they should have started with cutting back on a few of the aero before making everyone develop all new engine specs.
Makes me wonder where these people were educated. Well it’s not the education necessarily it the strategic thinking. Just consider they made these changes and the racing is worse. Then there goes your fans or you lose your fan base. They need to stop considering climate change and all that nonsense because what they are doing is entertainment. If movies and music when green they go out of business. I watch sports to see the best not some idiotic bull.
They better get their head out of their backside before it’s too late.

What are you on about. The engines will be smaller because they are now making 300hp PLUS. Nothing to do with climate change, calm down

Triumph Norton MV Agusta and anyother brand of motorcycle should be on the grind Instead of What is on offer at the moment

    • @macsmith6216
      @macsmith6216 Před 4 dny

Triumph has no large sports bikes to sell, Norton is loosing money hand over fist and MV Augusta is owned by the same group that owns KTM
So highly unlikely any of them will ever be in Motogp
MV might be another rebranded KTM
