Calvin Scott so is the ticking noise from the fuel rail/injectors not Normal? I've had my 2010 Jeep compass over 3 years and it's always made the ticking noise from the fuel rail..?
The comments here are wild, everyone wildly guessing 🤣 i came here because I've got an 08 Tiburon v6 that has a mysterious ticking that comes and goes but it sounds like a spun bearing much like this, except at 2800rpm it completely goes away. Sometimes it stays away and sometimes it comes right back when the engine drops back below 2800. Idk if it's a collapsing valve lash adjuster or a funky injector but nobody else seems to have rpm dependent ticking that comes and goes
Yeah lifters dont sound like that at all. Usually the tick is still there when you rev it could also be holes or cracks in the headers that can make a ticking tap sound my turbo has super louf injectors so i put a foam mold heat resistant around the injectors A HUGE DIFFERENCE LOL!!!!
Is the intake plastic?? If so there's flaps in each hole to the intake to the Head that opens with a vacuum the plastic wears out and it starts making a rattling sound very pricey to change fix
2 years later but Fuel Injectors it is lol. I've had both problems already and I can tell you that lifters don't sound like that.

Phillip Pardo all cars do that tbh
I replaced my fuel injectors and I still have the same problem even used a treatment for my fuel injectors same noise @calvinscott8664
@@Misplacedddit’s called injector tick, it’s completely normal don’t mess with your injectors anymore than you have please

Lifter sound from timing chain
This is an overhead cam engine it doesn't have lifters
Ac compressor checked?
Why in the hell is this recommended to me 10years later da fact?????😅
I'm glad I'm not the only one
Lifter injector you won’t hear that easy

Hey! Mine a freaking loud as well. What foam mold would you recommend for that?

Header leak?
Injectors
Cam follower ticking under the high pressure fuel pump is my guess.
That's your flexplate
More details…? Mines doing the same exact thing. Flex plate or pipe?
@@loganlewis4834mine stops after about 5-10 mins but sounds the same. Deal around injection port? Then when oil is hot enough it seals?
Blown motor
