In this series of videos, Clutch's Tim Sult and Neil Fallon show you how to play "Electric Worry" from the band's 2007 album From Beale Street to Oblivion. For the song, Neil plays slide guitar in Open G tuning while Tim plays in standard. - Zábava
Look at Tim he looks like the guy who will fix your air conditioning and explain what was wrong...but when he is on stage his fingers spit out Rock n Roll fires
He he 😅🤟🏻
The best band on the planet! If you have a chance to check them out live, do it! :)
warh0g.com I was!
Seen them at least 10 times. Saw them in PA back in 2005 or so, it was just them doing a jam for like 3 hours, no other bands. Best fucking concert ever.
Seen them and will probably see them again with primus. I opened for them
8 december 2018 Warsaw Poland
@@colonellKurtz saw them 2 days ago in Sweden! :D
@ 3:06 - Neil says so nonchalantly - "and that's the meat and potatoes of it"
And I never get tired of hearing this song - ESPECIALLY LIVE !!!!
Brian Dennington I think their best live song is the mob goes wild
The live version doesn't have the harmonica and keyboard though
When learning Clutch tunes go to the source. These guys are amazing.
Monsters of sound yet so seemingly humble/grounded
+1 to that. Been playing for 7 years now, I do them by ear myself, but the magic is in sharing. I've gotten a whole bunch of others to pick something up as well, and it just brings a smile to my face to see people put effort into something and see the results for themselves. Besides, music doesn't have to be complicated to begin with. Musicians tend to get lost in the whole "how skilled are you" argument and forget something rather fundamental - a musician's job was just to play a goddamn song.
Saw them with Motorhead a few months back, I was blown away how great they were!
Clutch by Clutch... Can't be better...
I love the awkward tension between Tim and Neil at the beginning, like they just had an argument before the camera started rolling.
I love these guys.
Hell yeah, more Clutch is never a bad thing!
Total class guys, brilliant
Every day with the clutch-and I won't pretend not to mind. Well u made me week.
These guys are cool. Making videos like this for fans.
I hear Neil Fallon had to slay a dragon with his bare hands to get that beard...
That's right! And he also earned his voice on that peculiar day.
It wasn't a Dragon per se ;)
Some say thats actually chuck norriss' beard....
This must be the dumb ass comment section.....
@@M17CH68 welcome. you will fit right in.
Oh Yeeaaahhhh = one of the most consistent bands around = Awesome
Anything with Clutch involved is quality stuff:)
I saw them play at music farm in charleston some months back...their live performance is awesome
Neil sure does love him some Mississippi Fred McDowell with that opening lick
really underrated guitarists
This makes me want to play guitar!! It's on!!
goddamn tims sound is so good :) forever love this band
There is one word to describe Neil... Man
u guys are the best.
Pure genius
Tim’s only contribution to lyrics to any Clutch song was this one. He said in an interview he was going around repeating a Dominos commercial “Bang Bang Dominos” and Neil took it and ran with it. You can all thank Pizza for being the inspiration for this song.
Fuck yeah, every single tab online is wrong, i had to slow motion this to understand the real ones and i finally made it
This song kicks your ass from start to finish
metalhead here, loving this!
more bands should do things like this it shows you play your songs
Thanks for the lesson! You guys kick it! mj
GREAT TUTS...TX
Thank you!
It's time for Part 2 ^^
Any chance we can get the other parts of this video? The page was taken off the guitarworld website.
awesome.
I fuckin love you guys
CLUTCH= PURE TRUE MUSIC
It’s PURE ROCK FURY!
RESPECT!
I love the blues influence in Clutch, I can see Neil was a fan of Mississippi Fred McDowell.
Im a metal head and love clutch. o.o Then again ill listen to anything rock n roll or metal.
best band ever
CLUTCH
@bravissimo641 How was the show? It was seeing them live opening for Slayer that made me an insane fan, I had never even heard of them until that night. Now I have seen them 14 times.
@FCValle A few years ago, Neil was playing a Strat or Tele on tour through a small Fender amp. He went back to Gibsons right after that. I was happy to see a Fender on him, but the Gibson tone suits their music better.
GREAT IDEA.
Well i agree cus im a drummer, i own a guitar ive barely ever played and i like clutch, so i was interested in this ^^ helpful to me =)
this makes me smile like an idiot :D
Muito bom!
Does anyone have tabs for this? i can only find tabs with standard tuning and its hard to play for me ^^
this is bad ass!
Didn't know these guys before, i like
In the link in the description
Is there by chance any accurate tabs of this out there?
How kick ass is this?!! FUCK YEAH
The noise gate they put on Tim's microphone sounds hilarious!
@JJBproductions84 Got your speakers wrong? When I hear it, everythings fine!
cool shit. bang bang bang bang.
@tipw7 do it, at all costs! so worth it!
neil's voice! \m/
Great teachers. -.-
U GUYS ARE BAD ASS. THANKS FOR BA BA BREAKING IT DOWN TO BRASS TAX :) JUST THE FACTS- OH MY GOD ISABELLA.
Also, with slower songs, "emotions" come out through the strings, so you got to get them right. I find it difficult though. You can play it cold, and ugly, and simple. But you will get it only right when you do it with feelings and profession. It is not only about getting the notes right. I think that is what lots of people don't understand. Including Steve Veasey
the best song ! =)
I saw online that Volbeat is playing with clutch in Boston and dropkick Murphys is playing with clutch at a different show in Boston I've seen Metallica five times once with Volbeat opening for them with machine Head and was awesome I've seen the original Pantera with dimebag Darrell and I've been dying to see clutch that's one band that I've been dying to see I hope the coronavirus does not stop this concert series this spring and summer I'm dying to see clutch I must see clutch.....
God you guys make me feel old. Lol
Dang still best out there ,
@theBOSSDS1 the one doesn't exclude the other!
HOW DOES HE GET THAT TONE!! I want a rig rundown for the gentleman on the right, he always sounds great.
Hell yeah, saw them at the Canopy Club - can you say "Boss Mode?"
very true..
He's so Stoned! I love them ;)
cool thanks
Goes to show that looks can be deceiving. Neil looks like he should be a carpenter and Tim looks like an accountant. Throw a couple Les Pauls in their hands, and you got two hard rock'n dudes! Love Clutch. Good call GW getting them on the set.
I love the bottle neck.
Is that a socket?
Beard of POWER!
Fucking LOVE Clutch!
I've never heard of these guys rofl but that's a pretty sick riff
BANG BANG BANG BANG . BUT SOME DAY BABY :)
i dont play guitar, but i do love me some good ol CLUTCH!
That plaintop is godlike.
it sounds like everybody loves clutch now. haha these guys have been around for awhile, pretty decent live i saw them after Children of Bodom.
don't know the band but i likethese guys
I wanted to hear what Fallon and Sult had to say about it, there aren't many interviews around where they talk about their music.
In response to an earlier post I didn't really take into account that total beginners might be watching this, so fair enough if thats the level its pitched at. Still, Fallon saying 'I'm in open G' with no explanation of that tuning is a bit strange if thats the case.
Germantown, Maryland... \m/ REPRESENT!
Nice Les Pauls.
I swear I read "Tim Slut". Laughed my brain out.
❤️💖❤️💖❤️
Clutch oozes cool.
where is part 2?
goddam...these guys have the blues inside
I could hear Neil talk about meat and potatoes all day long... What a voice!!!!!
@LocoRico89 Yesss!!!...Clutch + ZZTop would be like the best shit happening on this Earth, man!!!
There was never a part 2 😞
Wow..
Are these guitars Les Paul Customs or something else?
well Neil's says classic on the truss rod cover, and Tim's looks like a really old standard
GODS
@ernie750 whats FatCats?
I saw u on Odderøya.
lol, i was thinking the exact same thing... SCREW IT IM GROWING ONE
I am not even that sure that it is all that easy to play it perfect, with perfect bends, timing, strumming etc. Sometimes easy sounding slower songs are trickier, than faster songs, simply because the 1000 tricks in it. I would be curious how Steve can play this XD
CLUTCH is so fucking awsomne
