For all the ignorants in the comment section. Saudi just happened to be the place where the prophet was born and the prophet himself did not like the behavior of the ppl there he left Makkah for Riyadh which was much better. Even I think Saudi takes things out of the line. The Quran did not say that women can't drive and stuff like that. Saudi does not define Islam, its just a country which has a monarchy so the same family continues to rule unfortunately.

@@CathyKitson Except in a lot of places, religion BECAME culture. For instance, in Saudi Arabia, women have to wear long black abayas even though it doesn't say anywhere in the Quran that they have to be exclusively black. But not wearing them black is considered "sinful".
Even when it comes to bare-chested men. In the Quran it says it's completely permissable (halal, in public even) but when a guy bares his chest it's considered inappropriate and even a pathway to the commiting of sin. That's culture.
I've lived in Saudi Arabia for more than 10 years and was even born there so I know what I'm talking about. The media did get it somewhat right that the way some people go about being Muslim is indeed oppressive.

Quran (4:34) - "Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great."

It doesn’t have to be with hijab
It’s enough when you see a woman wearing clothes that protects her from the eyes of people and make men around her respect her because she has the power of being modest and god fearing human being
Not all the woman’s are the same my sister
God bless you but a lot hide behind the hijab and same goes to men who hide behind their beards
Actions of a Muslim look better than their aspect

Gender equality in Quran: The word gender equality we tend to think means "the same". Quran teaches gender equity as opposed to gender equality- Rather than being the same/alike, men and women are complementary to one another. Therefore unlike the world that teaches women to emulate men in order to be equal, based on the flawed view that one is better than the other because woman was created from a man(Bible version Eve created from the rib of Adam), Quran teaches that "men and women are created from a single soul...and fear Allah particularly respecting ties of kinship".

Kids learning that they are not representing, 1, what the Qur’an, Hadith and Sirat teach. That is a problem because to understand a religion you look at the primary sources, and not how one or any individual feels or what they think about their religion. 2. If these women actually lived in a Islamic country they would not be doing these videos. Because they would not be allowed to. This video is not representing Islam nor true Muslim life for women.

Yakup Korkmaz Actually Pakistani women don't wear the Hijab (usually) they sometimes loosely cover their head with veil, though. Also there are tons of Pakistani videos like this. Even in iran, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.
Tedtalks given by women from the mentioned countries:
Iran: czcams.com/video/Vq_aq3WXR7Y/video.html ( she is clearly wearing makeup, something you'll say “this is fake :0” )
Pakistan: czcams.com/video/hlLzd5RsVQU/video.html ( No Hijab and Makeup. Sure looks opressed)
Afghanistan: czcams.com/video/6Tp-lcoL-rY/video.html (Loosely tied Hijab and lots and lots of makeup. Clearly oppressed)
Saudi Arabia: czcams.com/video/Qg01hTqMOTk/video.html ( Make-up and loosely tied Hijab)
As, you can these videos aren't just any ordinary videos. They are Ted Talks given by Muslim women in Islamic Countries. It's funny how you people think Muslim women are oppressed while you always ignore the opinion of Muslim women. They know better than you.

As a non-Arab, I couldnt sufficiently explain away the Arab tribal culture values contributing to this pattern. Instead, it will also be fair to note that at least 3 muslim woman leaders from non-Arabic muslim countries had actually risen to the top executive post in their respective countries namely Benazir Bhutto (Pakistan), Megawati Sukarnoputri (Indonesia), Sheikh Hasina (Bangladesh). As i recall, in its 200+ years history, USA never even elected any female to the WH.

@@1mikon It's the media's fault imo, they have been depicting muslims in a very negative way while the vast majority of them are very good harted people, and the same goes for the western world in muslim countries. They are taking advantage of some bad behavior coming from illiterate and/or ignorant muslims and showing it the western world as THE image of who muslims are to create chaos and hate among people. As for rules, you can go to jail by going naked on the streets in probably every country in the world. It's just a matter of creating a good climate for people to live in ; some muslims have chosen to live by some strict rules (sometimes way much more strict than those stated in the religion), and some others live in a very openminded way. Everyone is free, if you like saudi arabia's life style (probably not :D) you can go and live there, if not, you can live wherever you want. In the end, muslim or chrisian or jewish or atheist or what ever religion we believe in, we are just trying to live together peacefully and make something good to be remembered for in our lives. And about the media (aka the news stations), its only job nowadays is to make money by taking people's attention. How? Chocking scenes and strong emotion triggers, hate, sadness, fear. I honestly stopped listening to it about 4 years or so, and I'm glad I did. The best way to make a proper opinion about someone is to go and meet him yourself

FACT: right after Justin Trudeau was elected, he asked a think tank to conduct a poll asking Canadians including Liberals voters if they believe Muslims needs to be better integrated...the majority of them said yes, and alot of the liberal voters were Minorities. Through out the world, not just in Western society, the majority of people dont like Islam, pure and simple and Muslims know it. This goes for my homeland in China, accross Africa, Latin America, South Asia.
    Watch this video:
    czcams.com/video/lzW1Q3YGx5U/video.html
This guy is the same as me, i grew up and still have friends from all different backgrounds, all have negative views of the Muslim religion.
I grew up working in my fathers flea market business and can tell you Muslims and Arabs are the most cunning and backstabbing people in the world. Who were the most honest business people my dad dealt with? The Jewish.
At the beginning of the Arab Spring, I told everyone, watch! Not one of these Arab Spring uprising countries will succeed....years later...I was right...the new governments as corrupt or worse then the overthrowned ones.
Everyday in the news, explosions in the Middle Eastand North Arica, Arab women disfiguring black maids from Africa, and then they bring their barbaric ways here, Arab Uber drivers arrested for sexual assault, Syrian refugee arrested for murdering an 11 year old chinese girl, high school teacher arrested for sexual assaults, muslim doctors killing their wives, Muslim parents doing honor punishments and killings, Muslim kids calling police....turns out to be hoaxes,
Im disgusted when my 7 year old son told me his 'muslim Somali school friend' told him all Ethiopians will die in a deep hole as skeletons.
Go to parks and indoor amusement places, they dont even take care of their kids, and people wonder why they growup to become Gangsters, criminals, and when they do 'take care' of them, they teach them to be Jihadists.
Its Ironic that Justin Trudeau is preaching tolerance, but that idiot brings to Canada the KNOWN least tolerant people in the world...ask any minority, ask the people there in Sri Lanka..

Why not work on making changes in parts of the world where the problem with muslim women REALLY exists? By following this dangerous ideology, you support people who wish to kill innocent people just because they don't believe the same things they do.

I even think that burqa is too much, why would you cover your face in black if you dont have to, except for often crazy husbands
The face is not atractive really in that way, when i see a face of a girl i love i admire her, so why would you hide who you literally are?

QuranQuran (4:11) - (Inheritance) "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females"(see also verse 4:176). In Islam, sexism is mathematically established.
Quran (2:282) - (Court testimony) "And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not found then a man and two women." Muslim apologists offer creative explanations to explain why Allah felt that a man's testimony in court should be valued twice as highly as a woman's, but studies consistently show that women are actually less likely to tell lies than men, meaning that they make more reliable witnesses.
Quran (2:228) - "and the men are a degree above them [women]"
Quran (5:6) - "And if ye are unclean, purify yourselves. And if ye are sick or on a journey, or one of you cometh from the closet, or ye have had contact with women, and ye find not water, then go to clean, high ground and rub your faces and your hands with some of it" Men are to rub dirt or water on their hands to purify themselves, following casual contact with a woman (such as shaking hands).
Quran (24:31) - Women are to lower their gaze around men, so they do not look them in the eye. (To be fair, men are told to do the same thing in the prior verse).
Quran (2:223) - "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will..." A man has dominion over his wives' bodies as he does his land. This verse is overtly sexual. There is some dispute as to whether it is referring to the practice of anal intercourse. If this is what Muhammad meant, then it would appear to contradict what he said in Muslim (8:3365).
Quran (4:3) - (Wife-to-husband ratio) "Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four" Inequality by numbers.
Quran (53:27) - "Those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names." Angels are sublime beings, and would therefore be male.
Quran (4:24) and Quran (33:50) - A man is permitted to take women as sex slaves outside of marriage. Note that the verse distinguishes wives from captives (those whom they right hand possesses).

Food FOOD!! Mohammad was a very ignorant man, who hated women and for the life of me I can't understand why any women would want to become a slave to his ideology.
If he was alive today he would be the worst kind of criminal, right on par with Adolf Hitler.
Why would anyone idolize such a man?

How can I follow Allah if he doesn't want a personal relationship with me, it's kind of like following a stranger. If i'm supposed to follow this God my whole life and I never saw him or I never knew him but only knew about him, i couldn't do it.

I'm sorry ... are you speaking for just YOURSELVES and ignoring the millions of oppressed Muslim women in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Yemen, Bangladesh, etc. etc.?? If so, you have absolutely no solidarity nor comprehension of the daily HELL these other women live. You live in the USA, a country of equality and human rights. Imagine that you lived in one of the above-mentioned countries. You wouldn't be able to post this video. Self-awareness, you say? How about GLOBAL awareness! You're speaking only for yourselves.
